You’re both fortunate to have someone to share such an intimate, sometimes challenging ‘hobby’. I love how Carol isn’t afraid to grab a camera and take off on her own, giving you time to edit whilst providing her view of your surroundings and giving you each alone time.
There’s always so much to compliment you both on. The drone footage, the food scenes, the wild flowers, the gorgeous beaches, and Carol getting used to filming. Great job! Anglesey is a very lovely place. Best to you both, Mary

Great vlog, I am an ex Lighthouse Keeper living on Anglesey, so have been enjoying your Anglesey trip. I served both on South Stack and Point Lynas in the early to late 1980's to name just a few. Take care and stay safe
Hello Peter. I have always wanted to experience staying in a lighthouse in a storm. Its a dream of course as it would probably scare me to death no matter how strong it may be. How did you become a Lighthouse Keeper. Thanks for watching and I am pleased you like them 👍
@@LifeistooshortCK Hi, Navy first then Lighthouses. The Tower Lighthouses out to sea give you a gentle shake in a big storm, but you soon get quite blase about it, as long as you've remembered to shut all the windows! Safe travels.

Great video again - as per usual. If you are ever in the North East of England you should try their famous "stotty." I think it would tick all your boxes for softness and thickness in a bap type bun. Apart from that it's a beautiful part of the country too. Safe travels.
Ken, Some years ago I got involved in photography and Photoshop which gives me a slight understanding of just how much work and expense and learning you have gone through to make these videos you kindly share with us. Returning to the subject of What3Words I just wish I had had the sense and foresight to use this app to document our recent travels to Scotland where Val and I did the tour of Sky and the North Coast 500. If we had documented our tour in the same way as you and Carol have then our sons and grandchildren would be able to follow our route and overnight wild camping spots at any point in the future, if they so wished. Once again thanks for passing on your experiences and some of your valuable knowledge. Merry Christmas Carol and Ken. Hope to see you on our travels in our last June purchase of Greyham (grey VW camper) one day. Cheers till then … please keep up the good work. 👍😀
There is a lot of work and learning involved for sure but luckily for me I enjoy that part a lot. It’s not too late to document where you went if you can remember. The what 3 words app allows you to examine a satellite map and find out the codes just like Google maps. It’s a small world so I wouldn’t be surprised if our paths cross some day out on the road. Make sure you say hello if they do 😁👍

Nice one guys. Good video again. Couple of questions 1) What was the best beach then? 2) Where does the nickname ‘Charlie’ come from All the best you two from Mal, Dave and Sally the Lab aka The SilvertopMotorhomers
Thanks for watching Mal and Dave. Lligwy Beach was the only one we spent the day at, so the best one on Anglesey during this trip. Carol has lots of nicknames that are just made up for no specific reason 😁 Say hi to Sally the Lab 🐶🙂👍
I have often wondered if you do not worry about safety when wild camping. I am so relieved to see that you are careful and observant of whois around you. I fully expected t see a horn on those lovely white ponies😎.
Yes Ken is always very aware of our surroundings and risk assesses most things. It was weird enough seeing one of those ponies sitting down on its hind quarters 😃
thank you for sharing. Ken you do have a good workflow editing and uploading al this footage so often. I wonder if you can do the same workflow with a fcpx and a M1 apple every time it is a joy to watch, keep on the good work !!
Time will tell. Yesterday I started the first edit with Final Cut Pro on the M1. At the moment its painfully slow as I know nothing about the software. 😁👍
Oh I did enjoy that 👍. What a lovely little cove you passed on your walk. One thing that makes me slightly nervous about solo wild camping is this thing with random people feeling the need/the right to challenge you. Has this always been the case or has it increased lately?
On our first trip in the little red camper we went to the Lake District and North Yorkshire. We will definitely be heading north again in the future 👍🙂
Sorry Ken I'm not a beach bunny either, but if it's a choice between editing & the beach there is no contest. Always pays to be cautious so we will give the two people the benefit of the doubt, but may be they saw the video camera & thought better not. Keep safe & looking forward to the next one. 👍😁😎🌞🏖️⛯
Carol loves to sit in the sun and would have gone in the sea of the water was warmer. Always pays to be wary of your surroundings 👍 Have a great weekend 🙂
Why do some folk find themselves compelled to make frivolous, vindictive, vexatious and vengeful complaints just because they don't want to share ? Pure selfishness. "If I can't have a camper van and enjoy nature then I'm going to stop you from enjoying yourself". How about "Welcome to Bluff Doon, you've got a nice quiet camp here, you're not worrying anybody, make sure you see Joe's Chippy on the wharf, Enjoy your stay" ? How hard is that ? For some grumpy locals, too much.
I notice you didn't have a go a pronouncing Lligwy. I hope I haven't put you off. HLi-goi should do it. Also, MUN-ith BodAV-on if you fancy a go at that one, too!
Genuine question - not looking for an argument. Do you ever visit and pay for campsites? Especially in these post pandemic times, it seems like we should be supporting the economy and buying the odd meal or takeaway doesn't really add up to much. You are also encouraging other people not to pay. The amount of 'wild campers' coming to Anglesey is now becoming a problem with some (I agree not all) leaving their waste and rubbish behind. I see from previous videos that you are an ex policeman and presumably on a very healthy pension. I know this is an assumption but you are most probably in a position to easily pay the £15 or so per night. This edges on entitlism.
I think you are missing the fundamental point of why we do this. it has nothing to do with saving money as you are right I do have a good pension which I got through blood sweat and tears. We paid for campsites for about 28 years when we had caravans. Campsites need booking, have arrival and departure times and lots of rules and notices warning you what you are not allowed to do. When they are busy they demand deposits which you lose when you want to change your plans. We have now discovered that they are not necessary for us anymore and the new freedom we now have makes us we wish we had switched to a van years ago. The truth is 99% of campers will never wild camp ever so I have no worries about the health of campsites going forwards. As for a few meals doesn’t help the local economy we could of course prepare our own meals and contribute nothing but we don’t. Like everyone else we are just coming out of lockdown and finding our feet about using restaurants again. As for campervans causing a mess I don’t buy that argument and have yet to see it myself. I have seen people in cars dropping litter and sometimes we pick it up.
Another really good vid Ken, you obviously spend a lot of time creating them with Carol. I didn’t realise your an ex Bobby, like me, do you mind me asking which Force your were in? GMP for me and my wife.
@@LifeistooshortCK certainly am retired from work 12 months ago but from force in 1982 after 10 yrs. loved the job, hated the idiots running it, too many bully boys in the senior ranks.
It changed beyond all recognition from when I started in 1978. I was pleased to leave it behind in 2008 but boy am I glad I secured the pension as it allows us to do what we want now 😁👍

Baps, Farmfoods down by the pasta not the freezers if anything like ours. Xx
thank you for sharing. Ken you do have a good workflow editing and uploading al this footage so often. I wonder if you can do the same workflow with a fcpx and a M1 apple
every time it is a joy to watch, keep on the good work !!
I think it was getting like that just before covid came although we have only been challenged once ourselves
I have likely missed it but could you tell me how many miles per gallon the little red van gets on average👍
We are averaging over 50mpg.
Beautiful pink wild flowers. THANKS for info! I feel HUNGRY now! ☺ Oh, dear; how do I order a Chinese Take Away in Saudi Arabia?
Thanks for watching 🙂👍
The jetty use to be for Liverpool pilot boat it now based at Amelwch
Another really great video. 😀😀👍👍👍
Thank you 🙏😀
just love your vids do u ever come up north
Good video
Cheers Lee 👍😀
Why do some folk find themselves compelled to make frivolous, vindictive, vexatious and vengeful complaints just because they don't want to share ? Pure selfishness.
"If I can't have a camper van and enjoy nature then I'm going to stop you from enjoying yourself".
How about "Welcome to Bluff Doon, you've got a nice quiet camp here, you're not worrying anybody, make sure you see Joe's Chippy on the wharf, Enjoy your stay" ?
How hard is that ? For some grumpy locals, too much.
Love your outlook on life Ade 🙂 Let’s all just live and let live 👍
@@LifeistooshortCK It's so easy to be friendly, smile and spread good will.
spar has the best barm cakes
Good to know, thanks 👍🙂
Your Reed Warbler is a Common Whitethroat😊
Thanks for the correction, good to know 👍🙂
👍😎😎
Just a thought the one thumbs down you received, well they just don't like Sand in there Toes. x
😁😁😁
I notice you didn't have a go a pronouncing Lligwy. I hope I haven't put you off.
HLi-goi should do it.
Also, MUN-ith BodAV-on if you fancy a go at that one, too!
I think I’ll leave it to the experts, thanks for the info 😁👍
Hi David. Sussex for me 👍. Hope you are enjoying that pension 😁👍
@@LifeistooshortCK certainly am retired from work 12 months ago but from force in 1982 after 10 yrs. loved the job, hated the idiots running it, too many bully boys in the senior ranks.
It changed beyond all recognition from when I started in 1978. I was pleased to leave it behind in 2008 but boy am I glad I secured the pension as it allows us to do what we want now 😁👍
@@LifeistooshortCK If you hadn’t been in the police, Ken, you’d never have met Carol..and then where would we all be? ❤️
