Swarfega gets rid of grease on clothes. Rub some swarfega into the grease spot, then wash and grease spot all gone. Once the item of clothing has been washed, you cannot smell the swarfega. I got this tip from a laundry years ago.
After spending an hour untangling some embroidery thread, this was just the thing to calm my thoughts. Always enjoy the history, scenery, architecture and banter.

Can definitely recommend fishing as a relaxing pastime, I might get back into it myself as we used to really enjoy it (we were very much like Mortimer & Whitehouse if you’ve ever watched that 😂). The spot that you went back to for a second night looked an absolute dream of a place. I doubt that you would see many like that in the uk. Raid is the best fly spray to buy, mine is 7 years old and still works well.

I use "bug zapper rackets" in my camper/caravan the dispatch the pests before I go to sleep at night. I also have a "Bug A Salt Gun" that shoots a little blast of table salt to kill the harder to get insects. The only mess is a dead fly and some salt on the floor. I have never thought of using a spray.

We had a bit of a grim experience wandering up and down the main street in Berck trying to find something to eat a few years ago but those burgers and chips did look good. Although I've been using the van a lot to stop over at my Dad's I haven't been on a trip for a while and, as ever, you are giving me itchy feet.
i've just come across your video. Always good to see travelling people. You might benefit from a portable solar generator. You could use this to power a heated blanket at night to be comfortable as well as charging any other electrical products. I've used a cheap one, by all powers. It's a 700 W solar generator. You can charge it through the mains but Normally, you would use portable solar panels. It can also be charged through your engine. it's a small box about the size of a toolbox. Very handy in a van. . There are many other brands so have a look around. I think it could make other things quite comfortable as well. well done in having that wondering life

Defiantly a big boy thing, spilling grease on the T-Shirt. Im the same as you, cant go anywhere without something spilt on my T-Shirt. Today it was Pawns in chilli and garlic sauce. One small one mark but it doesn't wash out with a damp cloth.
In all the villages around us they have swapped most of their priorite a droit junctions for give way/stop. So driving along the main roads through the villages you have to stop every hundred yards or so. Except many of the locals ignore them and get upset when we slow down to stop, so it's no better. Last week, visiting our house for the first time since January 2020, the locks had rusted and we couldn't get in. So a trip to the locksmith in Berck was required to find a locksmith. You don't want to know how many dead flies there were in the house after over two and a half years unoccupied. We do the tour of the Montreuil ramparts on most of our visits. I can recommend the Plat du Clappe, which backs onto the ramparts, just before you got off to re-enter the town. For ten or twelve euros you can have a meal consisting of soup and bread (from a choice of five or six) followed by either a Flammiche or a quiche, all cooked in house. It's lovely and warm at the end of a winter walk around the ramparts. They have a good choice of beers too.
The French seem to enjoy ignoring rules that they don’t agree with. I feel like that a lot these days. We saw that restaurant on the way round. Wish we had tried it now 😁👍
You queried why older properties in France often seem to be in need of repair. I have been told that if a place is in good condition they get taxed more. Might be true.

Hi Julie. Our washing cloths are Lifeventure SoftFibre Travel Towels. They are the pocket size 37cm x 37cm. We steam them for 2 minutes every morning 🙂
Hi guys, your episode with the police Ken reminded me of earlier this year when I was in Newquay, Wales. I got there nice and early and got a lovely spot in the car park, looking down on the beach. Within 5 minutes of getting back from the ticket machine a "jobs worth" attendant came over "We don't usual allow campers in here" As I pointed out to him it doesn't say so, and I'm parked within the lines, my camper is shorter than that Range Rover. "OK but can you move it back 6 inches" honestly. He had the last word, by lunchtime it was getting really hot, so I popped the roof up. Within minutes he was back, "Can put that roof down, this is not a campsite you know". Unbelievable. Sorry for the rant, but it makes you feel better. Thankfully we don’t meet many like your parking attendant. It’s always frustrating when you can’t share your true feelings with them as they have something you need. I tend to let them know what I think as I leave. As you say it makes you feel better 😁👍

Another lovely Vlog Ken & Carol. The Story behind the public bins in Ireland is Money, With the big increase in prices from the Bin companies, local councils decided to remove the bins to stop locals from putting rubbish in them. But I believe in most supermarkets they do have bins. And they are outside most takeaways. I hate flies, especially in the bedroom, I have to kill them before I can get to sleep.
We got around the problem by using small rubbish bags and getting rid of rubbish little and often. As you say you need to know where to look in Ireland. 😁👍

No he didn’t but I guess it’s because no camping was allowed and having the roof up might have looked like we were staying there overnight.
Unusual to find a car park where camping cars are not welcome, they are usually pretty laid back about it.

Spent my week making dehydrated meals for the bow hunters. Seasoned opened with my daughter in law getting one right away. Venison sausages to be made

Defiantly a big boy thing, spilling grease on the T-Shirt. Im the same as you, cant go anywhere without something spilt on my T-Shirt. Today it was Pawns in chilli and garlic sauce. One small one mark but it doesn't wash out with a damp cloth.

In all the villages around us they have swapped most of their priorite a droit junctions for give way/stop. So driving along the main roads through the villages you have to stop every hundred yards or so. Except many of the locals ignore them and get upset when we slow down to stop, so it's no better. Last week, visiting our house for the first time since January 2020, the locks had rusted and we couldn't get in. So a trip to the locksmith in Berck was required to find a locksmith. You don't want to know how many dead flies there were in the house after over two and a half years unoccupied.
We do the tour of the Montreuil ramparts on most of our visits. I can recommend the Plat du Clappe, which backs onto the ramparts, just before you got off to re-enter the town. For ten or twelve euros you can have a meal consisting of soup and bread (from a choice of five or six) followed by either a Flammiche or a quiche, all cooked in house. It's lovely and warm at the end of a winter walk around the ramparts. They have a good choice of beers too.
The French seem to enjoy ignoring rules that they don’t agree with. I feel like that a lot these days. We saw that restaurant on the way round. Wish we had tried it now 😁👍
You queried why older properties in France often seem to be in need of repair. I have been told that if a place is in good condition they get taxed more. Might be true.

Hi Julie. Our washing cloths are Lifeventure SoftFibre Travel Towels. They are the pocket size 37cm x 37cm. We steam them for 2 minutes every morning 🙂
Hi guys, your episode with the police Ken reminded me of earlier this year when I was in Newquay, Wales. I got there nice and early and got a lovely spot in the car park, looking down on the beach. Within 5 minutes of getting back from the ticket machine a "jobs worth" attendant came over "We don't usual allow campers in here" As I pointed out to him it doesn't say so, and I'm parked within the lines, my camper is shorter than that Range Rover. "OK but can you move it back 6 inches" honestly.
He had the last word, by lunchtime it was getting really hot, so I popped the roof up. Within minutes he was back, "Can put that roof down, this is not a campsite you know". Unbelievable.

Thankfully we don’t meet many like your parking attendant. It’s always frustrating when you can’t share your true feelings with them as they have something you need. I tend to let them know what I think as I leave. As you say it makes you feel better 😁👍

The Story behind the public bins in Ireland is Money, With the big increase in prices from the Bin companies, local councils decided to remove the bins to stop locals from putting rubbish in them. But I believe in most supermarkets they do have bins. And they are outside most takeaways. I hate flies, especially in the bedroom, I have to kill them before I can get to sleep.
We got around the problem by using small rubbish bags and getting rid of rubbish little and often. As you say you need to know where to look in Ireland. 😁👍
