I Made A Mistake Installing a Winch On My Garage Floor!

I made a mistake installing a winch on my garage floor so I'm tearing it out & redoing it. After this I will be able to safely winch project cars in & out of my garage by myself. The video link for the first time I did this job is below.

You should use drop in anchors and use a bumper receiver hitch mount.

It seems to me it would be easier to mount a step bumper receiver upside down on the garage floor. Pretty sure that would be something you could source from Hobo Freight or maybe U-Haul.

Either buy one or weld a receiver tube to a steel plate. It’s on my list.

FWIW : I would have left winch where it is and by new one for trailer!

You're brave to post this. They used an epoxy underneath the plates to mount industrial size robots. If you find some and put it underneath that plate it ain't coming up.

That’s funny. I know I know I know. Me too. I gotta make a run for the border. In a couple weeks when I’m back in Texas I need to make that car a high priority. It deserves it.
