    One small change I noticed after looking at my video on the previous model (late 2019) is they reverted back to the old exterior texture. The late 2019 Stealth had a gritty texture that felt pretty nice, but was prone to showing dead skin and anything you rubbed against it. This one is smoother and doesn't have that effect, same as the early 2019 Stealth.

    Great review. I am still torn between the FHD and 4K. Casual gaming but most of this is for productivity on the road. I don’t think a 13” benefits from 13” but I think I quite like the touch screen option for browsing. I looked at the ASUS model everyone keeps mentioning and it looks good on spec and performance but looks like a child’s toy which doesn’t work for me when out and about. I am leaving the MacBook Pro world for this. What screen do you think? Is the finish different on the FHD vs 4K? Less reflective on the 4K vs matte finish of the FHD. I don’t know....

      I was expecting a large number of comments mentioning the fact that it didn't use the new Ryzen CPUs but honestly that's fairly low on my priority list regarding improvements. Screen response time, key travel, lighter trackpad, better speakers, better anti-reflective coating on the 4K panel, better battery life (disregarding Ryzen power efficiency, this is still significantly worse than the Surface Laptop and XPS 13), mill the speaker grill rather than using a mesh filter, mill the hinge rather than the separate plastic hinge housing they currently use on all their Blades, and in general improve the user experience rather than maximize performance. I'd much rather have a full day battery than another CPU performance improvement (again, ignoring Ryzen power efficiency).

      G14 because the 2060 can play games at high settings today. This is a low setting at 1080p laptop today, so it won't hold up at all in three years, whereas the 2060 based systems will likely be able to handle medium or higher in 3 years on next gen games.

      Uh MSI PS63 Modern / Prestige 15. It's like 1500 I think, but you can sometimes find the new one on sale for like 1200 ish and the old model around 1000 on sale. The Lenovo IdeaPad S740 is also pretty good. It trades the 10-12 hour battery of the MSI for faster performance, and it's heavier. It's like a cheaper XPS 15 basically.

    If anyone is looking at the Razer Blade Stealth, please take a look at the Asus Zephyrus G14 before you purchase this. I have both laptops, and the G14 wipes the floor with the Razor Blade Stealth.

    • @johnm91326
      @johnm91326 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The g14 kinda seems like a one tricky pony (amazing CPU power for the size). It's a good trick but it seems a bit over hyped.
      It's no longer an Ultrabook and looks more 'gamery', has a much worse display (dim and 40 ms response times are longer than even a 30 fps frame), no web cam, and runs very hot under load.
      They're at least made for pretty different people.

      @@johnm91326 For me the Stealth is not worth the $2,000 price tag. I do 3d modeling and video editing, the performance I have seen from the G14 at $1500 is something I never thought I'd see this soon. You can tell by their designs, they are marketed towards two different crowds, but if you are a video editor, cinematographer, 3d modeler, architect, graphic designer , game designer, video streamer test the G14. It has way better battery life than the Blade, weighs around 3.5 pounds, renders 4k video in single digits and also plays Doom above 100 FPS. Not only am I returning the 2020 Razer Blade Stealh, I'm also getting rid of my Mac Book Pro!

    • @SirBrandon123s
      @SirBrandon123s 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@johnm91326 totally agree that this is a totally different market than the G14. RBS 13 is for light gaming and a flashy feel / 4k display for watching video, g14 is for gamers doing more than Fortnite or valorant who need performance and want to still be able to use their laptop for things beyond gaming.

    • @giannisozo7928
      @giannisozo7928 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love everything about the G14 except the keyboard. This beast is amazingly fast at most things. But I just can't get over the keyboard. The back light is the worst I have ever seen and while the travel and feel is nice the keys themselves just looks cheap. I'm actually considering returning it.

    If you don't play FPS games, is the ghosting really THAT bad? I've heard a few youtubers complain about it but everyone always tests this laptop with FPS games. I'd like to see some Elder Scrolls Online or WoW gameplay benchmarks and opinions of the ghosting with those types of games. What about TH-cam videos?

    • @27Binx72
      @27Binx72 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the price, it should definitely be improved on future models. That being said...I think people are making it out to be worse than it actually is. 29ms isn't great, but not horrible either. People play shooters on consoles at 60+ FPS all the time and TV's are notorious for having even worse response times. Ghosting might be a little noticeable if you're sensitive to it, but are you going to notice input delays and such? No. Not until 80+ ms.
      Edit: Unless you're an esports pro gamer with insane reflexes, this isn't going to matter.

      Because they didn't use Ryzen. Well, it's also worse than other Intel laptops because it uses 28 watts for the CPU instead of 15 (or 25) watts in competing laptops. Add a 1650 Ti, a 4K screen and a small battery to the mix and you'll see why getting 5 hours is actually pretty good on that small battery. Again tho, Ryzen woulda given you 3x the performance if they included it.
