  • 🌙 Hello sailors, join us, Faye, Rob and Yewy the terrier, as we embark on a midnight departure from Grimsby, navigating through the pitch dark and relying on our sailing instincts and knowledge to get us through to dawn.
    In This Episode:
🌑 [00:00] Midnight Departure: Feel the suspense as we set sail into the pitch black, wary of unseen obstacles like fishing pots. It's a spooky start, and we're on high alert! #Sailingatnight #Navigation #colregs #grimsby
🌅 [03:22] Astronomical Twilight and Sunrise: Witness the stunning transformation from darkness to dawn, featuring astronomical twilight followed by a cloudy sunrise. #SunriseAtSea #SailingLife
☕ [03:40] Yorkshire Tea Break: Continuing our beloved tea saga, we ponder just how many Yorkshire tea bags the brewmaticians recommended for our voyage. #TeaTime #SailingEssentials
🧭 [05:44] Navigational Decisions: Dive into our passage planning discussion. Despite opting for neap tides, find out why they actually posed a challenge rather than aiding us. Will our destination be Wells Next The Sea, Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club, Beacon Marina, or somewhere entirely unexpected? #PassagePlanning
🔥 [14:00] Wind Turbine Thermal Event: We spot a rare sight-a burned-out wind turbine mid-sea, known in the industry as a "thermal event." #WindTurbine
🚤 [15:18] Arrival in Lowestoft: Join us as we navigate a bustling waterway filled with dredgers, SOVs, and crew transport vessels, not to mention passing through a swing bridge and the impressive gull wing bridge to dock at Lowestoft. #SailingLowestoft

Thank you Uncle Ron and Aunt Judith! It was really nice to see some very friendly faces and thank you again for such a lovely meal.
We are already suckers for a pain au chocolate and a ridiculously nice pork invention called rillette slathered onto fresh baguette with lashings of butter 😍
