Bonjour Faye, Rob and Yewy. As ever lovely vlogs, looking forward to more to come👍When we are away in the caravan and flying our very distinctive county flag of yellow and red stripes😜we are often asked what flag it is! Do you get many enquiries about Norman? Also do you carry all the courtesy flags for your present voyage? Take care!fair winds RnJ🐾
Bonjour! Lovely to hear from you both! We do get asked about Norman, but less so in France than in the UK! We do have all the courtesy flags for the voyage this year, unless something goes seriously bad with the navigation 😂
Someone must be psychic you must have cooked that fish about the same time as us. However as your mother would say "He's a good little eater" that plate would have finished us!!! Without disclosing your location we presume it looks good to make the next jump from Sunday with a good wind change. You can guess where we'll be watching your next vlog! It'll be a dam sight warmer than here.😊
Haha, my appetite is always on springs 😂 Sunday is defo the day, though not much wind will be had. The tide will take us round the corner and west très rapide, you'll see 😂 if you know your onions, you can probably guess where we’re bound 🤔 I bloody hope it's sunny mate, we've been holed up in another place for 5 days waiting for the weather to blow through. Someone please tell Mother Nature that it's Summer!
Great question. No, once checked in we are free to drop anchor, however there aren't many anchoring options between Calais and Boulogne, and those that are wouldn't have been protected while we were there. Also, we are making a conscious effort to ease ourselves and Yewy into this season so will be marina hopping to begin with. That being said, we're looking forward to finding some gorgeous anchorages as our cruising journey continues.
@@Mr_G_in_Alba no canals for us I’m afraid! They look beautiful and are certainly less open to the bad weather, but we’d need to take our mast off. So we’ll be heading down the Atlantic coast of France, along the top of Spain, the full length of Portugal and then into the Med 👍
Looks like a lumpy marina in a northerly! But on the plus side, excellent fish, bread, patisseries, fromage, wine - hope you have the best of times ⛵
Exactly! Every cloud has a silver lining 🌥🌥🌥 thank you!
I've been wandering around for a few weeks so have been absent, I'm back now, sat with wide eyes and bated breath 😉
🍻 To nomads everywhere 🥂
@@mattanderson9029 and to you! Thank you!
Nice to see you got out boat ( Rummy III ) and our companion Our Lizzy ..
@@mashbury aha! Yes we remember both of your boats! Our makeshift armada was a sight to be seen coming out of Calais!
That was great thank you for sharing your journey
🙏 thank you, you’re very welcome!

Fringe envy is real 😂
😂😂
Dont worry about you hair it look is allright😂

If you thinkthat ramp is steep, wait untill you get to Dieppe or Treguier
Dieppe wasn't too steep when we popped in, but currently winning the battle of steep ramps is Saint Quai Portrieux. Do you recommend Treguier?
@@sailinghjem & lezardrieux both nice
Do you have to stop in a marina, or could you just drop anchor somewhere?

@@sailinghjemAre you doing the Atlantic coast down to Portugal, or the French canals to the Med?

@@joebloggs2862 😂
Careful calling it the English channel that close to the French coast, might be considered a 'hate crime'.
And right you are! I was met with funny looks from the customs agents when I described our journey, ‘through the English Channel.’ 😂
Every country has their own humor.I found.Me Dutch born live Australia.Total different humor😢😅
@@peterjansen7854 I like Dutch humour! Very direct, straight to the point and not afraid to be controversial 😂
