I bought one recently after having a string of Audi and BMWs and just wanting a change, came from an S6 and this car does everything in a blend better than any car I've owned. Rides better than an M light BMW without losing the feel, much more involving than an S Audi. I have the 375bhp model and its properly fast, forget about the headline numbers - where the torque is available across the rev range with that gear box is where the brilliant engineering is...Jag nailed it
Hired one for 2 weeks last November, nice to be reminded of the lovely exhaust note. The ride was superb as well, not normally the forte of any modern car let alone one with such a sporting character.
Great work! One of the Best, most timeless cars ever made. It won't age, the design is just so fluid anything more 'forwards' would veer into supercar or electric car 'weird' territory. Masterpiece! 👍

I have just put a deposit down on one of these. Picking it up next week. This video has made me really glad I took the plunge. I cannot wait to drive it as my car. Thanks for the review it’s one of the best.

Thanks for the great review. Was thinking of trading my 2013 XF to the smaller XE. This has convinced me to do it. Here in New Zealand the XE S is very rare and will cost me $ 95,000 but I think it will be worth every penny.

You don’t see it on film but the amount of young lads in Golt GTIs and suped up Japanese cars that I battered off the lights was incredible. I even got the thumbs up from a Golf R32 driver who was taken by surprise :)

An excellent review thanks for that A review of how the car drives on the various UK roads is just what's needed , it's not about how far you can get the back end out whilst hammering round a track. I'm taking an extended test drive in one this weekend having had half an hour in one & I'm already smitten and your review just confirms my opinions. I think the Racing Red will look great sitting on my driveway . Thanks again
Good job on focusing on driving impressions. There's a host of videos that focus on the interior and ergos but ignore the what matters most, at least to some drivers, which is the driving experience.
Great review. Looking at getting a late XE S this year as a replacement for our trusty 2011 XF V8. I suppose 380hp and a couple less cylinders will do 😉👍🏻

Nice review. I was looking at these with a view to buying one, hence I'm a few years late. Never seen the blue/black leather,. blue's actually my favourite colour so I think it works OK on a blue car. And the way the dashboard and air vents blend into the door frame - brilliant design piece I reckon. Never can understand why manufacturers seem to miss some bits when they're designing the car, i.e. the plastic speaker grilles but they're not the only ones. I know some say it's because it's lower down, where some people are likely to kick open the door. I could be wrong but I think cars with the Meridian sound system update have better quality grilles. My only gripe - I can't afford to run the V6 :(

They sure did. I loved it when I drove. Sounded superb, went like a rocket and was very comfortable to ride in.
I love this review. Great job. I have the XE S and it is a brilliant car. It has character and that is what I love about Jags.

TheEddieoliver agree. I was amazed at how compliant the ride was compared to the BMW 435i I drove last year. Superb motor.

The XE S has 380hp I believe
340 in the version I tested at the time. I don’t know if they’ve adopted the 380hp engine since maybe?

Great review, I went with the XF S for me its much more "Jaguar" than the XE in my opinion.
But I think the XE is inside nicer than the XF.
Caldera red think you would like you've got the worst colour inside I've seen 😊
Agree! When I drove it seven years ago it was the only colour JLR had for me to use.
