    Had one of these puppies for over a year now. It's a phenomenal car. And new mods mean you can easily upgrade to get the full 480 horses out of that superb SC V6.

    I recently test drove both, the 2016 BMW 340i (with the new B58 engine, as well as adaptive M suspension), and the 2017 Jaguar XE 35t premium. As sweet as that Bimmer is, I can attest to the fact that the Jag handles and rides better (even without any optional adaptive dampers, mind you). And it fit me comfortably and the overall quality is good for the segment. Add the standard 5 year / 60,000 mile warranty and free scheduled maintenance, and I think I know which one I'm gonna go for. I'm still smiling after test driving the XE. :)

    I find it humorous that everyone claims it is too small on the inside...and completely forget the older 3 series is pretty much about the same dimension wise. These are called 'COMPACT executive' cars for a reason.

    Hey Matt, how would you compare this supercharged V6 on this XE vs. the F-type? Are the driving dynamics similar?

    • @TheSmokingTire
      @TheSmokingTire  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's exactly the same, if we're talking about the engine. The F-Type handles differently, but the engine is the same as the base F-Type on quiet mode.

    • @jwndr
      @jwndr 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Do you think the $12,400 price difference is justified in terms of handling? In other words, are you really just buying a nicer body style as opposed to other hidden tidbits that make the F-type use the engine better?

Or does the 25t prestige still come with more options since it's the prestige. Somebody please help.

    I wonder how easy it would be to swap the metal shift paddles for the plastic ones.

    Nice video. I am wondering why the exterior pov shots show big snowbanks lining the road and the interior pov show lush greenery.

      Because they were filmed on a different road onl. A different day. I didn't get those shots until after.

      Looks like the snowy shots were from independence pass, which is a bit higher in elevation...hence the snow?

      +haydenjcollins bingo. Independence pass was on our drive route, but I was sharing a car with someone so I waited until I had some alone time to do the review

    The road he is on reminds me of the Rocky Pass level on NFS III
