- Brodie Southgate likes wearing his hair long, but the 9-year-old Arizona boy recently cut it all off for a good cause. The bigger message behind Brodie's buzzcut? Helping children with cancer. Brodie has grown out his hair twice to donate to Children With Hair Loss, a nonprofit that makes wigs for kids. Brodie faced bullying at school because of his hair, but he refused to give up. "I wanted it to grow out longer so that the kid that gets my hair really likes it," he told InsideEdition.com. #InsideEdition

@The Truth I've known PLENTY of kids who have grown their in order to do this, they see it as something important. If you have an issue with a kid who can take bullying so they can do what's right you're just weak, I faced bullying as a child and I know for a fact that he's gonna be okay because he's doing this for a cause

They're from conservative parents, where I live Texas not many guys have long hair and I get stares from people, one time at Six Flags a small girl started telling her mother out loud why do I have hair like a girl, her mother was trying to make it not obvious because she was embarrassed, I thought it was funny, lol.

It’s good to donate hair for the cancer patients. When I was in high school, I donated 21 inches of hair to the cancer patients. It was 4 wigs and very thick hair. My hair was so thick and long, it was so hard to keep up with and shower was one of the hardest things because my hair was so long and thick. When I was in high school one of the students sitting behind me would either try to put gum in my hair or would try too tie it to the chair. He tried to stick up in it one time and I told him that if you stick gum in my hair then you’re gonna get punched. After that he stopped trying to do that.
I’m 28 years old now and No my hair isn’t long and thick anymore, I have short hair that is only to my shoulders. I work in a daycare and it’s very difficult to keep up with 7 Pre- toddlers 12 months- 18 months. My dad died of cancer in 2009 and that is what encouraged me to donate to the cancer patients is to help them.

I donated my hair for cancer patients because my dad died from cancer in 2009 and I made that decision to donate my Hair. it feels good to do that, Your doing the right thing. Don’t listen to those bullies , just think about how much u want to grow ur hair out for the cancer patients. When I donated my hair it was 21 inches long and it was not easy in high school.
