- Former Oakland police chief LeRonne Armstrong is suing the city, alleging that Mayor Sheng Thao illegally fired him a year ago for criticizing a federal court monitor who pressured her to oust him.

Oakland needs to fix some of the problems going on now. The police department needs to resolved crime problems now which is happening almost daily . The mayor of Oakland is doing okay she wants the city to be better off and wants to find solutions.
Our Mayor is not doing okay. She literally dropped the ball on a state grant to fight small business theft because she prioritized a vacation, under her watch a 1000 911 applicants were not even screened even though she said it was a priority, she can agree on a police chief leading to one of the largest crime spikes in the history of city….

Mayor Sheng Thao is a class act. However, you might not agree with her politics but she is doing a good. Oakland just have too many problems.
And Mayor Sheng Thao and DA Pamela Price are two of them.
Doing good? How so? She defunded the police, paired up with DA Price to not use incarceration as a form of punishment while they are in office, lowered cash bail, record high plea deals, passed laws to defend criminals rather than the citizens, and now Oakland is in the top 8 cities with the highest crime rates just in the last year alone. Oakland has many problems and ppl who still defend her are the root cause of these problems
