Absolutely awesome car. Wish I had the coin to get one to park up beside my 08 R8. Sams performance worked their magic on mine and done cam, Harrop 2300, OTR and a few other things. 460 rwkw still puts a smile on my dial 😀
Imo having a powerful car on the street is a lot safer than a low powered car because you're able to get overtakes done a lot faster and wider tires are so much safer offering more grip so overall it's a lot safer in all weather conditions and really powerful DBA T3 slotted rotors and quality brake pads are essential to have very good brakes and with how bad the drivers are these days they're essential so overall that's a really nice safe good performing car.
Not too be rude this this is beautiful but I expected more with the smaller pulley. I've som up near 900 stock with some tickles i.e pulleys etc. You can do it dude all depends if you wanna keep it or blow it out and do something different. I love the stickiness and love of having the last yellow badge gts. Nice work dude

However, back then, there was no "alright, we're only making X amount of vehicles, and that's it!", even with the mighty HOey, it was just whoever ticked that option box got what they ordered. As they said, win on Sunday, sell on Monday. 👍 Ever since HSV was incepted, it has ALWAYS done limited editions, every single year from the SV87. Walkinshaw, SV5000, etc. So it always has that sense of rarity, whereas the SS is like the GT. Even the VX GTS was numbered. I think the only models they DON'T number are the Clubby and Senny. 🤔

@@ImaCullen well then why does someone need a 5XX kW street car that only gets viable traction above 80km/h and the speed limit is 100km/h? That's a lot of money invested to go fast for 1sec over a 20km/h speed range lol ?! A better, and more common, street car metric is 0-100km/h of which powerful RWD cars like this will struggle to get remotely consistent timings below 5secs. Although they will tell you of that unicorn time when they got 4.X secs.... when five planets aligned. There is a reason why domestic car owners refuse to spend $220 on a Dragy but will definitely have a laminated print out of their highest dyno chart. Track times are as relevant to a street context as me recording my cars performance on a downhill stretch of road and flashing my print out at the next set of flat surfaced traffic lights.
I have a black one of these i don't use i just keep it on a hoist in the double bricked cement layer shed i don't use it and i got 2 car covers on it Its a nice black one with only 28K clicks on it. I love them cars i was thinking about getting a other one but instead my wife hit me now i drive a kluger 4x4 as my daily In other words i have 1 stock to the bone and use as a collectable i dont drive it its a nice Black 2015 GTS HSV much like this one... Nice cars them i havent drove it in a few years tho i took out all the oils and fuel and the battery and its getting hold up by its chassi and i took the wheels off of it. Its sitting 6ft high away from anything
@@glennp9904 yeah agree but the engine is only stock and they only cost about $25k but really the main thing I'm trying to keep clean is the car it's self not really the engine but I did have a few people say it might not be the best option to take out the oil and I agree I don't know what inside the engine looked like but it might be rust but at least the car it's self is in great condition

I have to get a blue slip for it too witch will pass with easy marks but to expensive to keep on the road got a mortgage to pay lol

Tuned properly they are more efficient than you'd think, it's only when you put your foot down they drink. Same with any car, barra Turbo is about 12L per 100kms when you're not on boost. 🤙

Wasnt the CTSV pretty similar? Not an LSA but still a GM supercharged v8 making same power. CTSV wouldve was more expensive from dealership but worth considerably less at the moment
