my VF SV6 is 7 years old and has 196000km on it . still going strong ( 100000km on a tuned motor ) headliner has not yet drooped . windscreen wipers have faded to grey like mentioned in this video . virtualy no maintanence outside of basic servicing and brakes tyres etc have needed to be done on it , incrediby reliable cars.
Very nice mate Beautiful car! They're already collectible and if that was my car, I'll stock up with OE parts, as they'll get very rare and be astronomical if you find them
Just bought a GTS-R 2 days ago. I cant keep the stupid grin off my face. I keep going to the door into the garage just to look at it. I would have loved for it to be a manual with a sunroof but I think I will be just fine. Light my fire, auto, stage 3 harrop package, 26000 kms
Pls help I'm trying to buy a gtsr but no one will give me insurance on it even Shannon's has not got this car on there list I think it's because there being stolen they are starting to drop them
i must be very lucky my VF 2017 SV6 has no roof lining issues.. its 7 years old and has 196000km on it not less than 80k like this one! cars been bulletproof!
i didn't realise how basic the VF series HSV is i purchased a VE senator 9 years ago and none of the cosmetic problems you are pointing out eg windscreen wiper plastic fade and traction control issues also cream hood lining , i was under the impression all HSV had factory black hood lining 😞 16.5 litres to the 100 OMG . and i thought it looked like a basic ssv from the front very underwhelming no bonnet vent no air dam . apart from that good video cheers for the update
Awesome car mate. The question is, would you buy it for the same price, or more than what if was worth brand new, now? Given the options of cars at that price range now?
😳 717hp @ the rear wheels? So definitely not a stock one then? Mate of mine has one down in Melbourne has spent 20k worth of engine upgrade mods and it's only putting down 695hp @ the tyres.
Got the r8 brake package on my maloo, yeah the dust on the rims is really annoying & appears quickly & I'm not hard on the brakes at all ! If anyone can recommend a brand of pad that doesn't dust up too much please leave a comment cheers.
Unfortunately the last of the Holden's were crap , brought my new ute 12 years ago , only done 90,000 ks , the paint is rooted the plastic,s are rooted . The plastic radiator. And hoses fucked up . The only reason there still worth anything is for nostalgic reasons,
First thing you should do is rip off those eye-lids, you're doing them wrong. The amount of VF owners doing eye-lids and doing them wrong is astronomical. If you're going to put eye-lids on, do it right at least.
I have a Vf Redline and my roof lining is perfect ,i think it comes to what products you use to clean it ,never use any products which are harsh ,so ph neutral cleaners, that way it does not affect the roof lining substrate. Also the wiper plastic mould is bad ,yes it does fade ,but a good plastic trim detailer does the trick perfectly, its just upkeep and maintenance inside and out and also the running gear... 🦘👍👌✌😎 Also when was the last time you changed the supercharger oil and also as far as brake dust mate, Bendix do a great job with the ultimate+ pads ,they are fitted with brembo pads from factory i had the same issue with my redline, till i changed the pads over to bendix ultimate+ pads, no dust if any and i have owned my redline for over 9 years? Diff noise is because of the specialised adative your supposed to put in the hsv and also newer holden diffs, no point just changing the diff oil even if you use oe holden diff oil, you have to by the specialised diff additive which makes the friction less and also helps with other issues, like the noises your hearing from the diff etc. cheers and good looking car mate. 🦘👍👌✌😎
never used anything to clean it with as never needed to clean the old one. In most cases the lining will fall unfortunaltey but sounds like yours is still good
So a whiny clunky noisy rwd car that drinks 18L per 100kms of 95. Ouch. Hows it drive in the wet? Betya those pads cost an arm and a leg. You should look at something like my 2009 Lexus LS600hL. 5LV8 and 2 electric motors. Lexus wont say but something like 400kw and 800nm. AWD of course for that power. 8 speed auto that you will never feel a gear change. LED lights of course. Double glazed windows and drinks 91 at 10L per 100kms city. Or e10 if you like. Hard to get in SA. Heated and cooled front and rear seats and steering wheel.Nothing breaks on them ever. It was their way of sticking it to Rolls Royce. Try searching lexus ls600 interior to be blown away. Especially back seat. Not the fastest car in the world with a mid 6 0-100 and topping out around 290kph. Picked mine up for $33K about 5 years ago with 70K kms on the clock. And no one including the police will ever look twice at it.
lexus ? Nah , ill keep my HSV .And i am not selling or looking to buy something i have no reason to . Lots of money for fuel i agree, but im happy spending my money on enjoying something , rather than drinking it and pissing it down the toilet every weekend and or high on drugs . If one isnt being a bogan and flogging it around the streets and being a hoon in front of police or doing burnouts every second minute then the police wouldn't have any real reason to hassle one. And drivers doing this on other channels and posting it online only have themselves to blame if they believe they are getting heat All manufacturers have their issues and faults . Big HSVs or supercharged V8s are not the only make and or engine to have their issues
As i forgot the mic for vlogs, off camera as wind noise was excessive - I have a oil sump gasket leak , and rocker cover leak
just ticked over 70,000 on my 2013 VF GTS. Love it and will only get rid of it when i die or it gets stolen..... Again.
What colour?

Good work
Its beautiful mate,i love mine
Nice keep it forever !
That cream coloured headliner was one thing i hated about my VX R8 Clubsport, the black looks so much better. 🇦🇺
yes painful but black is far better agreed
Yeah haha bloody Commodore roof lining 🤦...I'll get to mine one day.
Beautiful car bro👍
Thanks mate, yes all series do it unfortunatley

Nice video, do you think the performance increases this car has affect the car negatively in any way? E.g reliability or driveability
Not to my knowledge . Not had issues so far which is good

Mr black is the best product for plastics, but pricey but it’s worth it and it lasts for ages
Its my go to for this type of thing yes
Yeah it's worth it mate 👍
Always !
Awesome car mate. The question is, would you buy it for the same price, or more than what if was worth brand new, now? Given the options of cars at that price range now?
hmmm good question let me get back to you
How much would you get for it if you were to sell it?
Prices for people selling range from 125k , to 90k
😳 717hp @ the rear wheels? So definitely not a stock one then? Mate of mine has one down in Melbourne has spent 20k worth of engine upgrade mods and it's only putting down 695hp @ the tyres.
It’s not been cheap to get this far . Lots of people who don’t own one will say they can do this under 5k lol

For nostalgia I’d buy one but, given its Commodore roots, it must have low kms.
Owned an 2011 ISF Lexus 5 litre for several years will never sell it still heaps I can do to it even though it was designed from show room to track
Diff whine is sorted changing diff fluid and additive every 30,000klm garbage driveline from a workshop prospective.
thanks for the tips

Maybe they knew it was over and didn’t care about quality?
They are a great vehicle helps if you look after them properly 9 years with mine not even any minor issues 😊
Nah beats the e3 rear end
They are great too
Time to SELL IT
Yeah, nah

considering the VE and VF series commodore were not based on the Opel, yet the Zeta platform , id say yeah nah
