    Hi, a great video.
    Just purchased a Gen-F HSV GTS for $84000 AUD drive away in Adelaide.
    Waiting for the phone call in 7-10 days, can't wait.

    Good review mate. I purchased the LSA club sport last year and chose it against the GTS and the cheaper SS redline. BEST DECISION I made. Have owned euro cars with Lamborghini V10 engine but they aren't reliable and parts are tough to get when required. The HSV LSA package is the best bang for your buck compared to euro cars of similar power or little 4 cylinder turbos for same price. The sound is balanced between subtle when arriving home or full noise over 4.5K revs! Best of both worlds I say. It is so drive able around town and not twitchy for having so much power which is a credit to HSV. While the GTS is more powerful and slightly bigger brakes you don't quite feel the benefit for the extra $25K extra for the privilege and hence the clubbie feels best bang for your buck. Have driving at full noise around a track and there were no issues with brakes going soft over the day and I drove the car hard. Great car for the daily driver, comfortable for our rubbish quality roads (which euro cars hate and fall apart), yet a beast on the track if required. You won't be disappointed however if you go for a cheaper SS, you will find yourself regretting you didn't go the extra for a full out of the box factory warranty supercharged V8!
    I love cars and driving and this is one I look forward to getting in even if just for milk.

      CarNut .kiwi - no worries you can use it for facebook and HSV no probs. I'll just add with regards to fuel economy it isn't as bad as it looks on paper. My best has been 10.6L/ 100km and average 15.6L and that is a balance of city driving and min hwy. when driven hard like any supercharged V8 it gets up there but is balanced because you can't do that all the time to worry about it. I have also previously owned a Ford FPV GT BA 2003 model so I have ventured between brands for the best car at that time, with no bias. This clubbie with the supercharger is the best by far between civil behaviour when needed or all out impress your petrol head mates with sound and torque off he line. The tyre choice standard is spot on also - continental! They worked well on the track also for a road tyre which surprised me and considering some would choose a semi slick tyre for serious track day drivers, I feel that tyre is too rough for daily driving in between track days and would drive you nuts, therefore better to stick with the contis for all conditions.
      Hope this helps your readers also.
      BTW I would also add that if people want extra power on top, I would recommend the W507 kw upgrade which is still under your driveline warranty. It will be my next birthday consideration if I can get past the treasurer (my wife)? That being said the power is spot on for 98% of the time, in just considering more track days in the future for extra power to blow away more of these euro turbos that don't last a whole day of racing.
      I'll keep you all posted in my you tube channel also that's under my name.
      Cheers

      Same here, btw you can remove the bimodel exhaust fuse valve and the exhaust sounds awesome, not only from 4.5k revs. Let me know if you'd like to know how

    Call me biased for owning the Series 2 SS... but I can't be the only one that thinks the SS sounds better than the LSA stock ? The HSV bi-modal is very quiet.

      CarNut .kiwi I was originally looking to replace my VZ SSZ and buy the VFII SSV Redline but it was your video that eventually convinced me to go ahead and trade up to the Clubsport. Especially at the bit where you say "but... it's not a Holden".

    i purchased one at the end of 2014 white 340 R8 then this lsa version came out and i was pissed off . nice lsa motor but i kinda dont like the look of these and for the price i think they are too high , better off just getting a 2014 lsa gts .

      @silverssonyoutube8438 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** yeah i know but that lsa engine is in the back of my mind knowing im stuck with the previous engine hahaha . Yep its still an awesome car i actually like the look of mine with the front bar and them high beam lamps. Mine even has the interior gauges while the new one does not . They're awesome to drive . Nothing like my previous ve ss man that handled nasty.

      Hi there Peter. Thanks for your comment. Yes, £35k equals just under $70kNZD so certainly cheaper there than here. But we’re used to that, with our smaller market, GST etc. The main thing is you’ve got yourself a great car that actually sits very close in price to my own Commodore VF2 SS-V Redline. Enjoy!!
