  • How to fit Brembo calipers and bigger discs on your Civic Type R EP3. This kit is from K-System.Pro using Renaultsprt Brembo calipers and 350Z 324mm discs - Find it here - k-system.pro
    The fitting and theory is the same for any BBK, Brembo, Spoon, DC5 Brembos etc. Please always read instructions carefully and get your brakes checked by an expert (they're pretty damn important!)

    thanks for the fast reply dude. big fan of it vids. mechanic myself. own ep3 n/a 230bhp tdi north. agree with tdi north comments in previous videos. plenty of other people out there who actually care for customers and take pride in there work. who is mapping it? Got my m8s 03 sti running over 400bhp. the great Andy Forrest scooby specialist up here in Scotland didn't quite do the job right. more like that will do, c ya! after learning how to map cars and use the software. took it to a guy who has pride in what he does. showed us everything and explained questions with TRUTH, car is a completely better animal. fuelling ace etc. look forward to the next video.

      +Ross 88 hi mate. It's actually being mapped by a company local to me. I'm down in the depths of Cornwall so getting anywhere for mapping is a pain. The local guy hasn't mapped this setup before but is very good and does a good job so I'm hoping for good results!

    Pretty tidy install that, Ill have to remember those calipers as with radial fittings they are fairly simple to fit a great many things!

      Yes mate, they're spot on, with the right brackets and alignement they'd fit anything!

    Hi, glad to see you got the BBK sorted. Looks really good. Had a look at the link in description for price but it's foreign money's so no clue at all. Have you ebayed your original callipers? Thanks for the content. Well described how to! Just found the price, not bad really considering the performance👍

      @EP3Stuff  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate. The pricing is on the CTRO forum, great value for the ft and quality.

      EP3Stuff I found it just after for around £700-£900. Great kit to be honest. Also found the same callipers on eBay under A&A core ltd for 225 and was watching the stoptech callipers for £425. Gotta sort MOT first. Feeling inspired so in the process off sanding back and painting up my decat and straight through pipe at the mo. Keep us updated and cheers!👍

      Will do mate. Yeah it is a great kit and looks superb also. The EP3 should always have had Brembos IMO!

      @spencerd8953 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      EP3Stuff I agree with having brembo's as standard. Also 10 years of dodgy brakes through the EP3 and FN2 should have maybe been a recall issue to be honest.

    Their website doesn't say anything about needing spacers, at all. Are you sure this is required? They mention needing to shave the backing plate but not mention spacers. One would think they would mention it if it was needed.

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have seen them say on the CTRO forum that spacers are needed for standard wheels. Having measured a standard wheel/brake setup I would be inclined to think that spacers would be needed for standard wheels.

      quote from their website: "Standard EP3 17″ and FN2 18″ wheels clear this BBK with 10mm spacer"

    • @marcinkowal4033

      spacers 10mm, and longer stud's

    They look fantastic.. How much do they cost?

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pricing is dependant on what pads etc you want and hoses. About £700 upwards for a full kit.

    I have a question,if i buy steel brake lines for the stock calipers,will these fit the brembo calipers?

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate. They should fit yes, the HEL lines are designed for standard calipers so they should fit in reverse. Cheers

      Hi mate, really sorry but your comment got held and I missed it. I honestly can’t remember. You could find the info on www.rarerims.co.uk. I think they were 17x7.5 ET45.

    So this kit will not fit if you're running OEM 17" wheels?

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate. Sorry your comment got held for some reason and I missed it! If you’re running OEM wheels you deffo need a spacer!

    Does an old ep3 really warrant brembos ?

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Um, well yeah I suppose it depends on what you're using it for, in my case with 320+bhp then yeah, it does warrant brembos!

    • @georgecrawley8434
      @georgecrawley8434 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why wouldn't it warrant extra stopping power? 😂

    • @EP3Stuff
      @EP3Stuff  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Joe. Sorry for the delayed reply, your comment got held by TH-cam and I didn’t see it. I think they do a specific S2000 kit now. Hopefully you already got one!
