Your comment about being commander and gunner simultaneously... Welcome to the world of T-34/76 tank commanders. They had to command the tank, fire the gun, and operate the radio all at once too, and with much worse optics than you have in this video. The gunner's sight on a T-34 had a much narrower field of view than this, so he had to either pop out of the hatch and look around for a target -- which was complicated by the forward-opening hatches Russia favors -- or use the commander's vision blocks. Then he had to shift to the gunner's position, rotate the turret and hope the target hadn't moved (or he'd have to shift back to the commander's position to reacquire it), sight in on it and fire, and then shift back to the commander's position to find another target. This while listening for radio communications, telling the loader what to do, and telling the driver what to do. And there was no turret basket, so both the commander and loader had to watch their feet so as not to trip over expended shell casings rolling around on the floor. So you had it easy! ^_^

At the risk of sounding like an internet weirdo/creep.... I'm in love with Crane's voice. There's a calmness to her voice that I find reassuring. She should be in more videos (especially where rpgs give 'haircuts'), I might not scream (like a little girl) so much while watching your vids Dslyecxi.

She does have one, yeah - take a look through the comments here and you can find it where she's replied. She hasn't yet put out ST videos, though (all in good time, right?). And yeah, she has a great voice, not to mention that she's just generally tremendously fun to play with! I think you can safely expect to see her more and more in my gameplay footage going forward.

wow, only 1 ad on a 2 hour video! there's one at the end, but that's not at all obstructive.
This is something in the control of the channel owner. I don't like ads within a video, so I only ever do them at the start/end.

Dslyecxi, you said about 45m in that you had an indication you were going to get a crash, was that the small skip in comms that seemed to happen? I've been trying to figure out what might be causing my occasional issues, I might have to keep a careful ear out if that's a symptom.
No, it's generally the framerate suddenly tanking briefly and sometimes seeing everything flicker to a low-LOD state.

Yaaa the tires are on. Realy I said that too. Man those Russian Guards units died a terrible death. Blown up and burned off those APCs. It looked awful. Excellent action on the mission. Side note -- Every time I see Strykers in ARMA I wonder if ARMA slat armor actually works against RPGs? And if so, does it assume all RPGs are made equal or do secondary/AP RPG rounds work as intended and punch through?

Do you guys actually file FF incident reports? I guess that would be a good way to encourage thinking twice before shooting.
Certain roles have a responsibility to post about FF, incidents, etc, in order to have accountability.
Are your missions all scripted or do you have a zeus to spawn enemy reinforcements?
It's a combination of methods. Most stuff is pre-placed or dynamically spawned, and then on top of that we can have game masters spawn in extra things or redirect existing spawns.
First person shooting all the way. Looks more realistic while in FPS.
There's a whole lot of this "we" business goin' on ... and a lot of creative deniability. : ]
I wonder why the arma map lags the further zoomed out you are. Can it really be that intensive?
There's a lot of 2D objects on it marking houses and individual trees and stuff, and modern GPUs are really not made for rendering 2D stuff.

Does the ARMA 3 styrkers have ATGM strykers?
There are mods that have those (these Strykers are mods).
Crane seems to be a good driver for FSVs and other vehicles, that is not everybodys talent and OH YOU RAN SOMEONE OVER! I KNEW IT! WOMEN AT THE WHEEL N STUFF!!!

She's a great driver! I don't think we actually ran anyone over, aside from her bloodthirst at going after poor defenseless rabbits. I guess being cooped up in the driver seat that long means you want to vent your aggression on *something*.

If I'm remembering right, we both checked and didn't have any FF from the mission, so I'll blame that on... something else.
Can confirm, no one was ran over. I specifically looked at the AT gunner who was behind me as we were getting rammed, and he somehow got out unscathed if shaken. And thank you for the compliment!

Is there no way for me to get the previous video resolution setup for these videos now...will I end up having to look at these pesky black bars until I get a better monitor? It's even worse on mobile.
Uh, nothing is going to get rid of the black bars since that's how Dslyexci uploads them. If you're wondering why it's that way it's because he switched to a 21:9 monitor.
I know that. Just seems odd to go to a new aspect ratio when so many most likely still use the standard 16:9. Like I literally can't watch his videos on my phone anymore because it's just so squished :(
I appreciate what you're saying, but you should consider that my priority is my experience. I am buying gear that I want to play with, and any videos I create are secondary to that. 21:9 is incredibly cool from a gameplay perspective. I could never go back to a lesser ratio.

Cpl. Kerry find a group to play with and just dont stop putting out content and you will slowly grow. youtube is god aweful for new video makers but if content good and you get the advertisement for your channel you can get up there.
