I love how the hazy "sandstorm" effect really help to hide some of the rendering issues and graphical bugs in arma, and the new 21:9 makes it look even more real!
A while back Dslyecxi I made a fairly toxic comment about ShackTac and tank combat..... I stand corrected. This brought back a lot of memories, good and bad for me and my time in Saudi. From an old 19K20 to you, thanks brother, made my heart proud.

Guys I'm searching for that one video where Dslyecxi gets shot down on his little bird then gets out to repair it while his friendly air units fry the tank and some other baddies beside him. What was the name of it? I think it was even in one of the recap videos.

Oh no, I mean that my monitor is 2560x1080p but your video still looks amazing when streaming it in 4K. Like it get supersampled. :)

When those Brads come to a halt the TOW launchers go up because that's the BRADS only Defense against tanks or offensive weapon.

Your audio is MUCH different in this mod than im used to.... What changed? Specifically your personal input. It sounds like your voice overs from your ART of Flight videos rather than from normal gameplay.
Maybe it's because the noise floor is generally lower because of the automated volume lower of the vehicle audio? My mic stuff probably stands out more clearly as a result. It's otherwise the same as usual.
Do you guys do any Zeus in missions like this or is it all pre-scripted?
They have a game master I believe but he uses his own tools over zeus, iirc.
I'm no expert but it seems like your gunner is telling your driver to alt too much after you issued an order to move. He should tell you what he spotted and than you should either tell the driver to alt and or tell the gunner to engage on the move. Unless you are trying a hulldown position.
That's not how our SOP works. Gunner has that kind of control, because they have the best perspective for what needs to happen for engagement. The TC can override easily enough.

I've played like that too, but sometime it's just a bit annoying if the driver follow the gunner instructions and stop in the middle of nowhere, when you did not want him to stop. Because you then have to tell him to continue foward, confusing him and probably getting hit because you were immobile.

I have no interest in streaming our Arma session. I have almost no interest in streaming at all, and I would never want to be put into the position of having to plan my life around that. I've known people who've done that and while it may work for them, it looks like an awful way to live to me. vOv

I love watching your videos. I have been watching them for several years now. But im curious whenever your team plays in tanks, you always sit and shoot like they did in WW2. The modern tanks were designed to shoot on the move. Much like our Abrams did so well in Desert Storm. Why does everyone play this way? They are just sitting ducks.
I think you have a misunderstanding of how tanks work. The idea that you'll just always be moving in a tank, regardless of the situation you find yourself in, just isn't backed up by how combat works - tank or otherwise.

why unlikely?
Yeah Shacktac isn't your typical server with a whitelist, its a dedicated community that has scheduled sessions and a very selective application process.
They get hundreds of applicants a month, and in a year an extremely small percentage of people are ever accepted (I believe I've read in the low single digit percentage, but that was a long time ago and I can't remember even where I read it).

they get many applications. I have never applied, but if you are serious about joining, I would go about it like it was a job interview. It is all about presenting yourself in a good manner. Illustrating why you would be good for the group. I am sure they get many applicants who don't present themselves as someone fit for the group, although I can't speak for Shacktac.
