I would say the other things that weren’t mentioned were…
    1) the omen killers, reusing the capra demon move set
    2) the black knives are reusing the purple Shinobi’s from sekiro, at least they’re running animation.
    3) rats skeletons and dogs exactly the same except dogs and skeletons have variants and slightly different look to them.
    4) can’t have a souls game without a gimmick fight, that being Rykard’s boss fight.
    5) swamps… swamps everywhere! Whether there be poison or scarlet rot, don’t matter they’re all swamps.
    6) The catacombs are like the dungeons from bloodborne.
Speaking of bloodborne, the round table hold is exactly like the hunters dream that being that there’s another version of the round table hold that’s in the actual map of the game that being in the capital.
    7) A lot of reuse weapons that are remodeled like the whirly gig saw from blood and the guts great sword.
    And way way more…
I could also go over some obvious reuses like the character animations being from dark souls, three, the jumping and crouching being from Sekiro, and Melanie great rune being a mechanic from bloodborne. But there could be a lot more that I haven’t seen.

Fun fact : the perfumer’s ruins’ name in French is “Ruines des profondeurs” and since I am French I know that it translates to “depths’ ruins”. So this area is a complete reference to dark souls with the depths. You can find a dark souls chest guarded by enemy whose face is covered in some kind of fabric wielding a great axe just like the maneater from dark souls. Plus there are also the poisonous enemy which relate to the fact that the depths is a area with enemy that inflict poison. In fact, this whole area is a reference to depths from dark souls the first

    • @TheSolarium18

I disagree with the prequel more likely a sequel.
See Darksouls has a lot of Genesis elements to it and more fundamental things how gods were made etc
Eldenring on the other hand has no mention of a beginning.
It just says that there were numerous other gods „Outer Gods“ before
And that the Greater Will more or less took over an existing world and created the Elden beast and the golden Order.
Also it’s clear that the Golden order used an older kind of tree to create the erdtree well in Darksouls we know in the beginning there were only the everlasting trees and dragons.
Which hints that maybe the Greater will used one of those old trees which seem to have power and we also know that there were some left because of secret areas in darksouls games.
The Giants flame which looks very similar to the first flame of darksouls is also the only thing able to burn down the erdtree
which hints its the only thing more powerful and guess which force destroyed the old trees? Nito with the power of the first flame.
Also the giants flame is already greatly faded and the first flame fades over the time of the souls games.
The old trees shared a connection to dragons but the old dragons with stone scales are dead and only their heirs are left and guess who fought dragons without stone scales after taking over the tree? Right Malenia and the golden order.
Also dying is just a circle so in darksouls games you always see the end of a circle it used to be more alive and will be more alive again after the ending
We also see glintstone spells in eldenring and guess who invented and created the first glintstone spells ever?
Big Hat Logan in Darksouls 1.
Also we see that fire still scales with faith and that black fire was used to kill gods which has a tight connection to Crossbreed Priscilla and experiments of Seath the Scaleless
Its also pretty possible that the god devouring snake is one of the primordial snakes which lead you in darksouls and you see their final stages of a long plan
Also humans are already around which were created by the darksoul and their ancestor the first pigmy which most likely was manus who is already dead
And the frenzied flame shares some connection with the chaos flame which was created by the witch of izalith in darksouls 1

    • @kirpalor74
      @kirpalor74 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@TheSolarium18 Epic, i like that, now i wonder what ending of ds3 could lead to Elden Ring? Or is simply that the world couldnt support more cycles and spread everything around the world in a sudden burst, making the land of Elden Ring possible.

    • @TheSolarium18
      @TheSolarium18 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@kirpalor74 Well there are either different theories to all endings or it is so far away from any ending that there is no direct link to Ds3
my personal theory is that by rekindling the flame your body burns away and your soul and all collected souls become one with the flame itself but your soul is until the next rekindling the main leading presence which turns you in sort of a god for a short moment and your genesis starts and ends in a blink of an eye and your will defines the next golden age
Shortly said you turned into the greater will and defined all laws of physics, life etc in one moment
(In Darksouls 1 its said that you will shape the new age of fire if you rekindle it)
Rules which were carved into the elden ring to last which needed guidance since you no longer have a body therefore Marika was needed.
Maybe Marika didnt only wanted her children not to die but also wanted her golden age to last forever so she searched for a way to become independent from the fading of the flame
And she found the EVERLASTING Trees and maybe connected the Eldenring with the tree to make this golden age last forever.
This would also explain why they abandoned the first flame since a rekindling would overwrite the golden order and the elden ring.
Maybe the giants weren’t pleased with this unnatural development and they sided with the first flame making it to the giants flame. So the golden order and the giants started a war which the giants lost and the flame or the lift was locked away and declared unholy.
We know radagon was cursed from the fire giants and maybe this in fact was the split of marika and radagon into two personalities.
Maybe marika is the original meaning of the eldenring and radagon marks the erdtree solution. Therefore Radagon wants to keep the situation and tries to repair the ring whereas (and this is stated in eldenring) Marika knew that the ring has lost its purpose and wanted to destroy it to give the first flame its original meaning back.
Also Goldmask thought he found a
solution to the golden order and the problem indeed was the gods and their flaws (so maybe marikas original will to prolong the age)
      To the outer gods:
      Frenzied Flame
At the same time we have the chaos flame which instead of the first flame never really faded and we don’t know how exactly the witch of izalith created it but we know that she became kind of a tree as the bed of chaos so maybe there was also an everlasting tree involved?
Which would strenghten my theory that everlasting trees at least prolong certain powers. Also we know that after ages and ages of rekindling the first flame the chaos flame became weaker (Last demonprince Ds3) but still existed. Therefore its now the frenzied Flame and can’t longer create demons but still turn humans mad. (also the frenzied seal looks exactly like pyromancy seal in darksouls games which is created from the chaos flame)
      Moon
We know the moon still is a force in the world and in darksouls gwyndolin was the god of the moon
Maybe Rennala is an ancestor of Gwynevere Gwyndolins sister which was told to have children but we know nothing about them.
And her bloodline combined with a godlike bloodline which still holds power (Radagon) created Ranni goddess of the moon which would also explain why she is an empyrean despite not being born by two gods of the golden order but her other bloodline (rennala) still descended from gods
Her brothers might just not got the Gwyn part of dna since there are a lot of other not godly ancestors involved over the generations
      Giants flame
      already explained
      Dragon god
We know nothing in eldenring about him except he once existed and is gone
I think its just a far away memory of the immortal stone scale dragons from their ancestors the normal dragons
      Scarlet rot
Honestly i have no theory yet
probably something to do with decay of something haven’t thought about it yet
Probably has something to do with the tree itself
      Formless Mother
is maybe Velka from Darksouls which was described to be a god and was never seen
      To rekindling
Like Marika we see in Darksouls 2&3 that there were always set new royal familys in charge after a rekindling when someone else than gwyn rekindles the first flame.
And we know that they used holy damage as their weapon (Lothric and his knights) which is the primary damage type of Marika and her order and the erdtree.
(they just weren’t called gods like marika but she also was just a normal human until she melted with the eldenring)
Unlike players gwyns body didn’t burnt away after rekindling but that’s probably just because he was a real god and his soul indeed burnt away and a burned out body was left and he also had to set people in charge before the rekindling. But during rekindling he also was able to shape the world he didn’t changed much because he liked his age of fire but he brought the light back and created the darksoul problem by trying to improson the darksoul in humans
Melina might be the last fire keeper since she wants you to burn the erdtree but due to her name i rather think she shares a connection to Marika
Another theory is that it has something to do with the flame abandonment ending of darksouls 3 since the finger maidens look very similar to the pilgrims of londor
(Londor always stood against the flame and wanted the age of men)

    • @kirpalor74
      @kirpalor74 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@TheSolarium18 mmm, the dragon God could be a hint to the Dragon God from Demon Souls, i like your theory, the scarlet rot could be a reference to Nito or so, also looks like every being comes from the archtrees as they tend to become trees themselves, as is seen on ds3, idk from were the humans come from in Elden Ring tho, as in ds3 every "human" we encounter is just ash, so the humankind has been extint centuries ago, maybe the only true undead that still human is Gael and the very old pygmies on the ringed city.(From the very old spells that Gael uses it seems that him could be alive since ds1)

    • @TheSolarium18
      @TheSolarium18 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@kirpalor74 I don’t think humans are just ash in Ds3 because literally all undead in human size are hollowed humans (their natural form before the first flame and the pigmy) and will be reborn in the next golden age.
Ashen humans are just those who tryed to rekindle the flame but weren’t powerful enough and burnt to ash and were revived by the bells in the cemetery of ash when the link of fire was threatened.
Also i think that all npcs which are linked to Londor are normal humans since they don’t want to rekindle the flame
Also its not really clear if pigmys are really humans or just their ancestors and humans are already evolved forms of pigmys
Yes Nito is a possibility but we know he is dead so maybe a leftover from his destruction of the Everlasting trees?
I have a problem with the fact that its called scarlet rot and i can’t find a link with nito and scarlet since nito is only connected to black skulls and death.
Or a rot which has something to
do in correlation with abusing the tree as erdtree
I think its important that it has to do with the fact that marika and radagon the parents are one person and the same problem you get with incest appears due to a lack of dna variety. Miquella is also cursed with eternal youth another indication that being born from one person is a problem.
But the eternal youth and scarlet rot may symbolize the quintessential effects of the creation of the erdtree. On the one hand you have the golden order which should be granted eternal stability (youth) through the linking with the everlasting tree on the other hand something isn’t really going well and developing really bad behind the curtains (scarlet rot)
We know nothing in the golden order is able to heal it but Miquella searches for a cure with the haligtree
So trees might be the solution only the erdtree in fact isn’t able to provide a cure so its either from the golden order itself or the combination of the order with the tree (which is more likely since a tree seems to be the cure so relation is there)
Also we see that the tree spirits also get infected with scarlet rot which are the best indication that it has to do with trees in combination with the haligtree i think it has to be the abuse as erdtree which causes scarlet rot but why
also we can assume that the omen curse comes from the tree (which wasn’t seen as a curse before the golden order)
but has nothing to do with the golden order since it was also there before the tree was linked with the elden ring.
We can also assume that mogh and morgott were born after the linking of the eldenring and the tree and therefore got the omen curse.
So we have two negative effects most likely coming from the tree the omen curse and scarlet rot.
Whereas Omen has nothing to do with the elden ring and scarlet rot may have a connection to a „Outer God“

I'm unsure. Some things seems a bit too far fetched too me.
The royal knight set doesn't look similar to the dark silver set.
I don't see many resemblance between the Maneater and the Leonine Misbegotten. The sudden dashes are the only thing that seems common to both.
About the similarity between the elden beast arena and ash lake, you may want to look up about Arch Trees. It seems there's an inspiration from the northern mythology. If you ever heard of Yggdrasil, in every fromsoft game (not sure about Bloodborne though, and Sekiro should probably be excluded), the worlds seems to be on the branches of archtrees. The branches are what holds the entire world of these games.

    • @Boczekek
      @Boczekek  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I agree royal knight set can be too far fetched. That was just my first association when I found it.
In Leonine Misbegotten part I had on mind design similarities - both are mashup of different creatures, both has reptilian tail, glowing eyes, wings and lion-like mane.
And yes I know about mythology inspiration in fromsoft games world design. Mostly in Dark Souls 1 and 3 these kind of underground world levels and tree theme with branches. The clearest example is the ringed city placed on separated branch. In this scene I just wanted to show that Elden Ring is next game with Arch Tree like things and I compared it to Dark Souls 1 because there we seen it for the first time and they are here also placed in water area.

    • @johndavies288

It would be a complete missing part of the Dark Souls' universe history. Elden Ring had an Age of Dragons but then begun the Erdtree immediately afterwards when the dragons lost the war to Lyndell. In Dark Souls, The Age of Dragons was immediately followed by the Age of Fire after Gwyn and his people beat the dragons. So it would be a contradiction of the Dark Souls universe to say there was another civilisation and different gods way before Gwyn and his people.
The only thing I could imagine is the Frenzied Flame ending destroyed the world so bad, it reset everything and that creates the Dark Souls universe. Possibly Ranni's moon ending creates the Bloodborne universe with the Moon Presence.
Still somehow I don't think that'll be a thing. I think the similarities exist simply because From Software like these tropes about fire, cycles, the sun and the moon. They keep reusing ones from their King's Field games after all such as The Moonlight Greatsword and even Seathe the Dragon being brought into Dark Souls 1 (he was originally an enemy in King's Field). Yet Dark Souls isn't connected to King's Field just as it isn't connected to Demon's Souls.
Some might point to Patches being proof of connection but Patches is just a running joke in From Software's games. He's even appeared in Armored Core which takes place in a futuristic setting of our real world lol.
Personally I think the games being their own independent settings without any connections or prequels is fine by itself and makes them more interesting and unique to me.

    • @rileyloughlin7076
      @rileyloughlin7076 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@johndavies288 honestly i didnt want to touch on the endings at the time out of being polite.
i was banking on the Ranni ending or the frenzied flame tbh but also going off of references to the burning of the erdtree to being the first cardinal sin. the disruption of destined death making folk basically hollow the "chaos of the frenzied flame" king GodWYN king Gwyn. The fucking forge of the giants may as well be the kiln of the first flame the whole flame of the giants thing in general it just activates tin foil hat mode in me lmfao.
ill sit down and add more to this i know i'm picking at straws and its nothing conclusive but i wouldn't be suprised either way.
if its just theme similarites entirely i would be a bit shocked though
