The actual worst part about Genshin, is that they COULD improve it. Yet they *chose* not to. So many QoL features could be added within mere hours, by a singular developer. Yet they chose not to do that. Why? Nobody knows.

Why? -Maybe they used "play cards right at the right time". -or Use players "coping" for QoL, to stretch the hype of the game when they implemented it. (they succeed in 5.0) -or small chance they overloaded by work, creating genshin is not an easy task. The gameplay and the lore sometimes have connection in it so maybe it takes time to consider things. - since 4.0, they already started to catch up with QoL and stuff. Just minor thing like loadouts or other minor QoL (QoL that not really destroying the gameplay) are not yet implemented. -money (all company in the end are like this)
Cui, the producer, was famously tight-fisted on rewards and QoL. He nearly ruined _HI3_ the same way, before Mihoyo tossed him over to _Genshin_ . Now that Cui has nothing to do with Mihoyo's games, and Dawei is the producer on the Genshin Team, we can finally start to see some improvements. But it has a long, long way to go on things we've been asking for since day 1. All the QoL Genshin players want are in _HI3_ , players just need to demand them loudly enough, and not give the Genshin Team money until they bring them over. It would also help a lot to get the support of the CN players, because Mihoyo listens to them. They're afraid of them.
Its rare to see a gacha team who one actually WANTS to support. I whaled on Xiangli Yao's weapon during his banner, and I regretted nothing about the purchase. The money would be going to these kinds of devs, and it made me smile.
GI will never die, it is a simple fact. The same with pubg and Ark the first of its kind. Their income reduce yes, but more than 10 million still plays it every new patch.

Many players on hoyolab say “but I haven’t finish my collection! And I picked qiqi!” Then proceed to use Dr Ratio to cope by, .”at least we got a free 5* every year unlike ratio”

Those 5* which they gave for free are characters that are either unliked by most players and/or had been powercreeped so bad already. Kuro on the other hand doesn't disappoint.

I feel it's still maybe a bit too early for them to focus on skins, and I'm gonna use PGR as an example here. Kuro has made shit tons of skins in PGR, and I feel like they themselfs think the game isn't in a good enough state for them to add skins. I genuinely think they're gonna wait on adding skins NOT based on popularity and monetization, but when they're proud enough of their own game to think there's NOTHING else more important to do for the game's overall success than adding skins.
I'm still livid from an artifact that I crafted and rolled all 4 times in flat defense, not a single crit roll wtf man! is that even statistically possible? there goes all those resources wasted and we can only do it like 3 times a year, fuck mihoyo devs!

That video really opened my eyes that there always is a QOL fix for Genshin BUT it ALWAYS comes with a negative caveat that isn't widely reported on. It's such a toxic relationship Genshin's playerbase has with a company that subtly abuses them. I am so glad I no longer play that game.
Funny thing is that, a little but big thing that got me to love Kuro was the fact that they've added a Gadget to shoot so we could do Target Shooting puzzles without having to change characters. I remember a lot of puzzles i left behind on Genshin just for the pain of having to change characters and wait for that "fake loading bar" to fill so i could acc do it. But Kuro? Nah, here's a toy you can use to do it, have fun! I tell all my friends for a long time, the worst thing about Genshin Hoyo is that, even though they know what you want, they force you to do what THEY want you to do, exploration, pulls, events, doesn't matter what it is, you will do it, because they specificly rig the game to make you do it...
there's actually a toy that shots a ball or wind harpastum that klee give it to us and it can also be use it to solve puzzle in inazuma or shot an automaton wings to disable it
one thing bad about 1.3 tho is that the map didn't need to be opened first. instead making the exploration more exciting it makes me simply go from one point of interest to another and everything that we are about to find in the wild is already marked on the map. hope there will be enough people talk about this in later feedback and hope they go back to the previous method just like 1.0 and 1.1.
The more I think about how Kuro handled critiques and backlash by being straight forward and upfront vs how Hoyo handled critiques and backlash by sending the LITERAL CEO of the company to shed some crocodile tears on stage and making sure it was publicized to emotionally manipulate the players into feeling bad for a multi-billionare, just makes me so uncomfortable....😕i dont care how "low" Kuro's revenue numbers get, or how warped our perception is as players to warrent the doomposting and hate WuWa gets for just wanting to make the best player experience possible by not forcing players to pay for a top tier DPS....but a reaction from Hoyoverse receiving criticism that poorly is so much scarier than any "low" revenue numbers on a chart imho.

One major key difference between Dawei and Solon (Kuro CEO) is, Solon li ACTUALLY look exhausted during interview, you could see the panda eyes and his hair messed up, heck nah even his own shirt wasn't ironed in that interview Dude DID NOT only rechive the money and cried when the revenue are down, but he went into the frontline along with their employees and trying to fix it up. *THAT alone deserve a respect on its own...* The sad thing is with all those effort WuWa may not win as much nominations as Genshin did cause well, you guess it. I'm pretty confident ZZZ will take best mobile game this years game awards, because hoyo (not saying it's bad game tho, bet it plays great on phones). But i'm pretty sure recent spike in ratings means more to Kuro than some awards, and i still think compared to most gachas wuwa feels most PC-like game ngl.

1:50 This is exactly why I never went ballistic when WuWa started having all those issues at release. Everyone kept saying we were "kurobots" and we couldn't take criticism. It was never that. We just weren't worried about it because we know Kuro listens. You can perfectly point out the game's issues, we never said people couldn't. The problem was everyone kept acting like Kuro was making mistakes on purpose and not fixing them, lol. They've proven over and over again that even if they mess up, they always fix it eventually. That's exactly what we need. Devs that care; and they do.
It's such a breath of fresh air compared to genshit impact. I genuienly love playing WuWa and enjoy every little QoL we got since launch. Unlike Genshit where I honestly only play the bare minimum because I still somewhat like the combat...sometimes...
Honestly the things that assured me the most about WuWa before it's released and as it launched with bugs was the words from PGR players, it will start out slow but Kuro will make it better trust in Kuro, I'm glad I did

What's even funnier is that it wouldn't take 200 days to make the preferred set since you need more than one vial for sands (2), goblet (4), and circlet (3). So it would actually take 440 days to POTENTIALLY get the perfect set. It's an actual joke. They even made it to where, if they do give the players one of those vials in the mail, they can't even make an artifact from the same set they made last time if they're still in cool down! So, in almost 3 years, you can have 2 potentially good artifact sets, 4 and a half years and you'll have a single team with potentially good artifacts. That's insane
I haven't watched the video completely but I recently quit genshin like 3 weeks ago after hitting ar60 and everything felt like a chore. Deleting the game felt like liberating myself from prison.
Quit genshin after they released the scaramouche boss. Anything felt like torture to do, especially the quests. Sumeru was too damn big to explore. Spent like 12 hours on the aranara quest just for a couple of dendroculus. First thing they need to add is a skip button, and a little disclaimer, I told that to genshin players; they weren’t happy with it. And what’s so funny, I wanted to return to the game a couple months ago. That happened to be the time when wuwa was released. I highly doubted that game at first and totally thought It’d just be a quick look and drop, apparently not. Never going back to genshin, even if they released all the QoL updates everyone wanted, added end game content, or a skip button. Game is twisted at its core with money farming developers in the driver seat.
WuWa is actually the first game where i get almost every character, with almost all their signature weapon. Only two weapons and one character missing. All free to play

Genshin fans losing the most tbh meanwhile every other Hoyo game other than Genshin is literally popping off. Man Da Wei got hate for him crying about Genshin but I think that was pretty good because when he saw the minor increases of Genshin when they released 5.0 because he realized that it had been far too late to save Genshin because he didn't remove Cai Haoyu fast enough (Cai Haoyu is the director for Genshin and Biggest Shareholder of Mihoyo which ended up causing all the problems for Genshin and is the reason why Genshin had such sh*t rewards before the 5.0 update). Don't believe me well, Da Wei had just barely stopped Cai Haoyu from taking the position of Director of Honkai Star Rail and you can tell how good that game became so yeah 👍.
Most sane Hoyo players would notice that Genshin is the abandoned child that it's only purpose is to bring money only at this point. I dropped it and proceed to play HSR at that point

Sure they're still definitely going to add things into Genshin but they probably realize the cost to profit ratio isn't worth it anymore as HSR and ZZZ are literally taking away practically all the old players away from GI meanwhile WuWa has also taken quite a few new GI players as well since new GI Players will want to try WuWa first before deciding which game they want to play. This is why there's only been an 8% increase after the August Update is because well yeah most old players have left Genshin while a lot more new players have joined but unfortunately a couple of those new players decided to choose WuWa over GI which led to GI only getting 8% increase in revenue.
The market is just becoming more and more competitive at this point, with tons more good looking gacha games coming out soon. It's going to be hard for Hoyo to grow any further.

What's crazy about the artifact crafting system, from what I see, you HAVE to use it or lose it, you must build a new unit/artefact set every 41 days by farming up 4 perfect pieces, then crafting your precious little 5th one, otherwise, you're missing out. Oh well, too bad.
i mean i know this is a genshin hate video but u legit just make it and u can save it for later, you can make one a patch and it only takes like 25 +4 artifacts which is super easy in a patch to do while fishin for crit artifacts that your doing anyways but go off bro

Until the story’s over I imagine Genshin won’t fall off completely. People are invested in their characters and the fruition of the story, but once it’s done it’ll be done. Look at Destiny. They had a 10 year plan and everyone said it was dead every year, but it didn’t really fall off until the 10 year plan and story arc concluded (I realize it still is going). Genshin has a similar model where they have a long term storyline to invest in.
Yeah I literally have no space nor have a device to play much games because I grew up and my hard drive is full of college work. I genuinely have to wait 2 years for my parents to give a shit about my hardware issues so pls enjoy the right games so people like us can enjoy them when we get specs needed to run them.

Natlan implemented traversal option that were already in the game in sumeru and fontaine. Grappel was in sumeru for every character instead of only kinich and every character could swim without using stamina in fontaine
Yeah but grapples aren't everywhere. They could, you know, make it a tool you can use whenever under a short cooldown. Like in WuWa. Having only one region and the next ones have cool traversing options that are only in certain places and not everywhere, is pretty dumb. Genshin needs to learn from WuWa's traversing. It's what makes WuWa's exploration be fun and Genshin's miserable. Imagine if all regions had underwater exploration, if all characters could do the special Fontaine water jump, if we could grapple anywhere on the map at any time. That's true freedom. Having to pull the latest unit to enjoy traversing a little more, isn't. But I will say, they made it a little better by implementing the animal enemies that you can use to traverse similarly to the new 5* characters. Now if you could only do that IN THE WHOLE MAP and not just Natlan, that would be awesome. Imagine turning into a crystalfly or smth to traverse Liyue. Sure, if you already completed exploration, it's pointless. But it helps new players, and it can help you anyways if you get a character from that region, new or old, and need to farm materials for them. It can always be a little better. Doesn't need to be perfect, but it can be better.
Also it could still help a decent amount of players, bc I know well that I've been putting off exploring the last Fontaine map that came out, and the Liyue update too, bc it's just not fun. Imagine if instead of the tool we have that only marks 1 chest on the map, we had one like in WuWa, that marks every chest on the map inside a big round area. That's way better. If the occuli finding tools marked all of them in a round area instead of one, on the map. Things like that, even if small, would actually make a cool difference.

Grapple in Natlan is a joke. Tbh, the entirety of saurian traversal is an absolute joke and this is coming from someone with a C2 Kinich which even adds faster movement speed after using skill. In Sumeru, everyone could grapple. In Natlan? Only Kinich and that dinosaur. What they did in Natlan is create a problem and sell the solution. Also, having kinich, Mualani, and the wall-running cougar chang s the game. Kinich even outside of Natlan makes vertical.mobility so easy and fluid that everyone needs him. It's disgusting to be honest. It's like adding a pay-wall for wuwa's wall run, double jump, and echo, same with the stamina-less running, and having the mobility of some echoes and selling them.
Since I played PGR (Traditional Chinese, Global) Kuro has been very, well, they listen to the community and they know what the Users want when they screw things up so. Common W Kuro.
I like to equate the hoyo games like a family based on Version number. (every 0.1 is a year.) Genshin is the 40 yr old Unc that was a one hit wonder in his prime and won't shut up abt it and you try not to be around unc. Hsr is the 15yr old kid who has a promising future. gets A's and B's in school. Not really problematic. And ZZZ is the 2 year old Toddler that the family loves because you gotta feed it, keep it happy, change it, etc. and every "Gooner" Comment abt ZZZ is the toddler drooling everywhere, grossing out that handful of people.
I don't get fob point here imagine ruining your game to fix it next day doing extra effort it's just doesn't make sense also mistakes aren't inherently a bad thing other games dev's might also be looking into it's problems so they don't make such mistakes in thier games everyone can learn from it
I wish Genshin can add more features for exploration such as surf board, grapple, etc. so many of them that I truly wish implemented. Relic rng isn't that easy for returning players. So boring and lazy to login again. I don't understand why must get new characters for a grapple and surf board. It's p2w for real. The mosters are too cute and soft. I am not scared at all. More like f annoying.

People often forget that RPG games (especially gacha games) like this have the grind as the main purpose of long-term replayability, when you give it all too easy that grind gets reduced to a point where the longevity of the game is compromised.
I was so glad when I found out that Kuro seriously listens to their player after starting WuWa. I have reported small issues (clipping things on characters etc.) and they always responded immediately and resolved the issue, sometimes even in the dame version with a hotfix. The trust they have from their community is on a whole other level I ever experienced in my more than 3 years playing GI by far.
I've been playing genshin for 3 years straight. Played no other game and have 16+ leveled and maxed 5 stars. I've recently started wuwa out of frustration for genshin. Nothing is hard, everything is 100% and there just doesn't seem to be any point anymore. The story and depth of genshin is losing its shine and has been dragged out in all of the worst ways. It breaks my heart watching myself turn my back on a game I've always loved.

I stopped playing before 5.0. - Sure I log in for free Primos but I haven't stepped into Natlan and I for sure haven't spent a dime on Genshin in months. You KNOW Hoyo is not going to complete Genshin after Celestia, they'll cliffhang and roll into a sequel. 😑
im sick of weekly bosses, the santifying elixir is a huge ripoff and i'd rather roll for new artifacts instead of burn huge amounts of 5 star lvl 4 or 5 star lvl 20 artifacts for something that probably won't even roll the right artifacts.
during the Genshin 5.0 livestream I saw how people reacted to the moment where they said "Did you think that was it for announcements?" and then literally pulls out 3 more cards from his ass. the reaction was absolutely nothing. Genshin tried to make a "but wait! there's more!" moment, but the livestream up to that point have been kind of lackluster and just because they separated 3 announcements and sold it to you as a DLC, will not make it exciting. Which is given emphasis by having them pick a card at random. The last 3 things mattered so little that they could give it to you in any order and it wouldn't have made a difference.
Well, the point with locked traveling in a region, wasn't that clear from day 1? Fontaine had its water mechanics that only worked in Fontaine, everywhere else you'd die if Stamina runs out. Some of the Fontaine-Charakters helped you do move faster in water or gave you some more stamina for longer trips. That's nothing new... So all these things too have no meaning other than in Fontaine. That's the same now with Natlan, and you don't really need the travel mechanics of the characters, that's just for fun, nothing that you really need to do your exploring. The other thing with the artifact crafting: You get elixirs from playing the game, you get some elixirs by exploring or playing events. But sure this must have been better implemented and this lock from crafting it, or limited on how many items you can craft per set is stupid.
All genshin needs to do is Strongbox - you can select the set and what piece, then use 1 sanctifying elixir to choose main stat, 2 for main and 1 sub stat, 3 for 2 sub, 4 for 3 sub and 5 for 4 subs. • remove stamina use while not in combat •increase climbing speed •make base glide speed same as when using the fan item
Nah genshin need a lot mroe than that. As far as which game needs more fixing, atm its Genshin. Wuwa at most has some optimization issues(rather its will performance, localization, resource management, ect.) but Genshin fundamental problem(and its the only game with the problem between it, zzz, wuwa, hsr) is giving you reasons to pull for the characters. Theres no content to use their kits in besides spiral / i theatre. Why pull on a character in that game?
They won't ever do this because 1. The strongbox means people will do domains less, which translates to less income. 2. Giving mobility and traversal QoL is a no-no because they need to sell characters that can do that.
Idk its been all these years and people still expect changes in genshin? Kinda like expecting your alcoholic dad not to hit you when he drinks. At this point I just accept genshin will genshin until the end. I feel like going online complaining in the hopes it'll somehow get better is fruitless, I just stop playing it and moved on.
Hoyo realized there's practically no way for Genshin to get a major comeback after the 8% change so well Hoyo is like might as well just give up on that project since there's practically no way the rewards they would give would come back and let them get positive so they decided to give up and further enhance HSR and ZZZ. And you can tell how good they're doing now.

I agree.....when the live stream for 5.0 was being showed during HOYOFEST in Singapore, the only ppl screaming for the updates were just the kids. Like i know it is something good for them but of all the ppl present for the event it was mostly the Kids that were screaming and the rest of us were like silent😂.

@@moonlover2310 for me it's the story, world, music, characters, and elemental gameplay of Genshin. The only thing that keeps me coming back to WuWa consistently is that new characters are individually really cool and have insanely complicated kits that are fun to pull off. But what I find is that once I've maxed out a character and ran around for a few hours, I just have no interest in chasing down those last few sidequests or chests, because everything else in the game is just of middling quality. The thing with gameplay too is that WuWa doesn't really feel satisfying to do team-building around. There are just very plug and play teams and the real fun is in individual characters and timing dodges etc. But Genshin has the appeal of very dynamic teambuilding and every new character that comes out changes up the team pool in one way or another. Sure, maybe WuWa just needs more time to get a bigger roster, but they also had 4 years to ape every system from Genshin, so I feel like they could have had a better idea for team-based gameplay, and without the elemental system of Genshin, it's just not as interesting to me.
Because wuwa is a bad game, it is what it is. The characters, the most important part of a gacha, are all the same bland souless characters. There's ntohing unique about them, aside from some animations
My jaw dropped when I found out Natlan characters where cucked outside of their region, with some even becoming down right barely playable. I still don't know how there hasn't being an outrage about it, just sets a terrible precident of them locking chars to zones, prioritizing... what??? Balance? It's a single player game, just let us have fun for crying out loud, and god, Mulani is barely playable outside of Natlan, shit looks infurating to play. Oh, and the switch mechanics too, goodlord, why are those region locked, it's made me not pull a single natlan char lmao.
It sucks, but from a business standpoint hoyo is doing the right thing. Being stingy adds value to the product unfortunately. I stopped playing genshin after I got screwed on my hard earned multi for the millionth time. I leave for half a year and come back with the anniversary or whatever and logged into 3 single pulls for nothing to show for it. The grind for primo gems is too harsh when you have to grind materials for characters and weapons and artifacts and exp ALL using the same currency thus taking away my chance to pull a character. And even if I do pull a new character I can’t even level them up because the materials are locked away in a literal different country in game…….im good off this game. Probably the most greedy gacha game and mobile game company I’ve ever experienced. I’m waiting for my beloved persona 5 X global to come.
I stopped cause I lost interest in the story and I didn't feel like grinding months for just one character. The grind is also just not fun For now, WuWa is fun for me and I was able to easily raise and get any character I want while playing on and off every few days(God bless the excess waveplate system)

Cui, the producer, was famously tight-fisted on rewards and QoL. He nearly ruined _HI3_ the same way, before Mihoyo tossed him over to _Genshin_ . Now that Cui has nothing to do with Mihoyo's games, and Dawei is the producer on the Genshin Team, we can finally start to see some improvements. But it has a long, long way to go on things we've been asking for since day 1. All the QoL Genshin players want are in _HI3_ , players just need to demand them loudly enough, and not give the Genshin Team money until they bring them over. It would also help a lot to get the support of the CN players, because Mihoyo listens to them. They're afraid of them.
Its rare to see a gacha team who one actually WANTS to support. I whaled on Xiangli Yao's weapon during his banner, and I regretted nothing about the purchase. The money would be going to these kinds of devs, and it made me smile.

Funny thing is that, a little but big thing that got me to love Kuro was the fact that they've added a Gadget to shoot so we could do Target Shooting puzzles without having to change characters. I remember a lot of puzzles i left behind on Genshin just for the pain of having to change characters and wait for that "fake loading bar" to fill so i could acc do it. But Kuro? Nah, here's a toy you can use to do it, have fun!

one thing bad about 1.3 tho is that the map didn't need to be opened first. instead making the exploration more exciting it makes me simply go from one point of interest to another and everything that we are about to find in the wild is already marked on the map. hope there will be enough people talk about this in later feedback and hope they go back to the previous method just like 1.0 and 1.1.

What's even funnier is that it wouldn't take 200 days to make the preferred set since you need more than one vial for sands (2), goblet (4), and circlet (3). So it would actually take 440 days to POTENTIALLY get the perfect set. It's an actual joke. They even made it to where, if they do give the players one of those vials in the mail, they can't even make an artifact from the same set they made last time if they're still in cool down! So, in almost 3 years, you can have 2 potentially good artifact sets, 4 and a half years and you'll have a single team with potentially good artifacts. That's insane

Sure they're still definitely going to add things into Genshin but they probably realize the cost to profit ratio isn't worth it anymore as HSR and ZZZ are literally taking away practically all the old players away from GI meanwhile WuWa has also taken quite a few new GI players as well since new GI Players will want to try WuWa first before deciding which game they want to play.
This is why there's only been an 8% increase after the August Update is because well yeah most old players have left Genshin while a lot more new players have joined but unfortunately a couple of those new players decided to choose WuWa over GI which led to GI only getting 8% increase in revenue.
The market is just becoming more and more competitive at this point, with tons more good looking gacha games coming out soon. It's going to be hard for Hoyo to grow any further.

Until the story’s over I imagine Genshin won’t fall off completely. People are invested in their characters and the fruition of the story, but once it’s done it’ll be done. Look at Destiny. They had a 10 year plan and everyone said it was dead every year, but it didn’t really fall off until the 10 year plan and story arc concluded (I realize it still is going). Genshin has a similar model where they have a long term storyline to invest in.

Natlan implemented traversal option that were already in the game in sumeru and fontaine. Grappel was in sumeru for every character instead of only kinich and every character could swim without using stamina in fontaine
Yeah but grapples aren't everywhere. They could, you know, make it a tool you can use whenever under a short cooldown. Like in WuWa.
Having only one region and the next ones have cool traversing options that are only in certain places and not everywhere, is pretty dumb.
Genshin needs to learn from WuWa's traversing. It's what makes WuWa's exploration be fun and Genshin's miserable.
Imagine if all regions had underwater exploration, if all characters could do the special Fontaine water jump, if we could grapple anywhere on the map at any time.
That's true freedom. Having to pull the latest unit to enjoy traversing a little more, isn't.
But I will say, they made it a little better by implementing the animal enemies that you can use to traverse similarly to the new 5* characters.
Now if you could only do that IN THE WHOLE MAP and not just Natlan, that would be awesome. Imagine turning into a crystalfly or smth to traverse Liyue.
Sure, if you already completed exploration, it's pointless. But it helps new players, and it can help you anyways if you get a character from that region, new or old, and need to farm materials for them.
It can always be a little better. Doesn't need to be perfect, but it can be better.
Also it could still help a decent amount of players, bc I know well that I've been putting off exploring the last Fontaine map that came out, and the Liyue update too, bc it's just not fun.
Imagine if instead of the tool we have that only marks 1 chest on the map, we had one like in WuWa, that marks every chest on the map inside a big round area. That's way better. If the occuli finding tools marked all of them in a round area instead of one, on the map.

I like to equate the hoyo games like a family based on Version number. (every 0.1 is a year.) Genshin is the 40 yr old Unc that was a one hit wonder in his prime and won't shut up abt it and you try not to be around unc. Hsr is the 15yr old kid who has a promising future. gets A's and B's in school. Not really problematic. And ZZZ is the 2 year old Toddler that the family loves because you gotta feed it, keep it happy, change it, etc. and every "Gooner" Comment abt ZZZ is the toddler drooling everywhere, grossing out that handful of people.

People often forget that RPG games (especially gacha games) like this have the grind as the main purpose of long-term replayability, when you give it all too easy that grind gets reduced to a point where the longevity of the game is compromised.

I was so glad when I found out that Kuro seriously listens to their player after starting WuWa. I have reported small issues (clipping things on characters etc.) and they always responded immediately and resolved the issue, sometimes even in the dame version with a hotfix. The trust they have from their community is on a whole other level I ever experienced in my more than 3 years playing GI by far.
I've been playing genshin for 3 years straight. Played no other game and have 16+ leveled and maxed 5 stars. I've recently started wuwa out of frustration for genshin. Nothing is hard, everything is 100% and there just doesn't seem to be any point anymore. The story and depth of genshin is losing its shine and has been dragged out in all of the worst ways. It breaks my heart watching myself turn my back on a game I've always loved.

during the Genshin 5.0 livestream I saw how people reacted to the moment where they said "Did you think that was it for announcements?" and then literally pulls out 3 more cards from his ass.
the reaction was absolutely nothing. Genshin tried to make a "but wait! there's more!" moment, but the livestream up to that point have been kind of lackluster and just because they separated 3 announcements and sold it to you as a DLC, will not make it exciting. Which is given emphasis by having them pick a card at random. The last 3 things mattered so little that they could give it to you in any order and it wouldn't have made a difference.
Well, the point with locked traveling in a region, wasn't that clear from day 1? Fontaine had its water mechanics that only worked in Fontaine, everywhere else you'd die if Stamina runs out. Some of the Fontaine-Charakters helped you do move faster in water or gave you some more stamina for longer trips. That's nothing new... So all these things too have no meaning other than in Fontaine. That's the same now with Natlan, and you don't really need the travel mechanics of the characters, that's just for fun, nothing that you really need to do your exploring.
The other thing with the artifact crafting: You get elixirs from playing the game, you get some elixirs by exploring or playing events. But sure this must have been better implemented and this lock from crafting it, or limited on how many items you can craft per set is stupid.
All genshin needs to do is
Strongbox - you can select the set and what piece, then use 1 sanctifying elixir to choose main stat, 2 for main and 1 sub stat, 3 for 2 sub, 4 for 3 sub and 5 for 4 subs.
• remove stamina use while not in combat
•increase climbing speed
•make base glide speed same as when using the fan item

Nah genshin need a lot mroe than that. As far as which game needs more fixing, atm its Genshin. Wuwa at most has some optimization issues(rather its will performance, localization, resource management, ect.) but Genshin fundamental problem(and its the only game with the problem between it, zzz, wuwa, hsr) is giving you reasons to pull for the characters. Theres no content to use their kits in besides spiral / i theatre. Why pull on a character in that game?
They won't ever do this because
1. The strongbox means people will do domains less, which translates to less income.
2. Giving mobility and traversal QoL is a no-no because they need to sell characters that can do that.
They would rather sell the characters that run and climb faster 🤡 devs

It's pretty bad when people defend that potential QOL's that could have improved overworld traversal for all characters and not being locked behind a paywall and characters that people may or may not like design wise.

@@moonlover2310 for me it's the story, world, music, characters, and elemental gameplay of Genshin. The only thing that keeps me coming back to WuWa consistently is that new characters are individually really cool and have insanely complicated kits that are fun to pull off. But what I find is that once I've maxed out a character and ran around for a few hours, I just have no interest in chasing down those last few sidequests or chests, because everything else in the game is just of middling quality.
The thing with gameplay too is that WuWa doesn't really feel satisfying to do team-building around. There are just very plug and play teams and the real fun is in individual characters and timing dodges etc. But Genshin has the appeal of very dynamic teambuilding and every new character that comes out changes up the team pool in one way or another. Sure, maybe WuWa just needs more time to get a bigger roster, but they also had 4 years to ape every system from Genshin, so I feel like they could have had a better idea for team-based gameplay, and without the elemental system of Genshin, it's just not as interesting to me.

It sucks, but from a business standpoint hoyo is doing the right thing. Being stingy adds value to the product unfortunately. You're not going to get that same dopamine hit if cracked goblets were common. So their strategy is to give us the bare minimum, so when they do something that is normal, its viewed as exceptional. Kuro games actually need to become more stingy. Because they are becoming the guy who spends $600 dollars on a girl for the first date. After that, that girl will be expecting that. Looking at it by any metric, 5.1 releasing with only the Archon continuance, one new limited character, and no new exploration is notably less content than any previous nation's release. Ergo, filler.

Ive been paying the pass and monthly sub on Wuwa since day 1. Absolutely no regrets there. Game has so many improvements co.pared to Genshin.
I stopped playing genshin after I got screwed on my hard earned multi for the millionth time. I leave for half a year and come back with the anniversary or whatever and logged into 3 single pulls for nothing to show for it. The grind for primo gems is too harsh when you have to grind materials for characters and weapons and artifacts and exp ALL using the same currency thus taking away my chance to pull a character. And even if I do pull a new character I can’t even level them up because the materials are locked away in a literal different country in game…….im good off this game. Probably the most greedy gacha game and mobile game company I’ve ever experienced. I’m waiting for my beloved persona 5 X global to come.

For now, WuWa is fun for me and I was able to easily raise and get any character I want while playing on and off every few days(God bless the excess waveplate system)

Regardless i prefer wuwa over genhin since wua feel more like a game and geshin is just a cutesy exploration game where i fuck around stomping everything.
@@almor3270 I never played wuwa honestly don’t trust hoyo to make a good fair game since honkai and i was giving them a shot with genshin. I’m just tired of scummy generic gacha games and it’s making me not like the genre anymore.
@@KodexKat tbf i wouldnt recomend anyone play a gacha game, i do it on my own accord, like going to a casino, they are in general very predatory, some more than others but all of them are at the end of the day, unfortunately i think games are going in this direction one way or another, which is sad to be honest.
the devs of genshin has been changed ever since sumeru I think + genshin has like less then three years(I think) unit the story end. so I think that is why MHY is milking genshin as much as they can
Instead of crying about the state of their game, Kuro Games crunched tirelessly and brought a lot of changes and gifts to make up for it
Obviously they are still a company that is chasing money, but so far they are treating me well, so I don't feel as scammed giving them cash as I would be playing other gacha
I can see where the money goes, and I like their game to begin with, so they have my fealty for now. They really need to improve their storytelling and soundtrack though, I'm not gonna sugarcoat it when it comes to that.
Only story quest got me attached to genshin, otherwise i'll wait for the new update. Spending primos and rolling artifacts feels unworth, so i kept my level at lv80.
as for wuwa, i really enjoyed especially their combat. The future update is exciting.

Seeing that fake crying from Dawei repulsed the fuck out of me. I only recently got into gacha games after avoiding them for so long (like literally this year) - tried WuWa and Genshin at the same time, and the feeling of being disrespected (as a player, consumer, and my time) when I played Genshin was so palpable. Like the amount of QoL features missing alone from this 4 year old game is astounding to me. Dropped that garbage game immediately.

i spent 1k dollars in wuwa, the lunites are there. i just needed to give my support to that company. they deserve it, hell, much more than just that.
Some people have confused it before. Let’s clarify it here. Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves, these two games are not developed by the same company, and there is no connection between the two companies. Genshin Impact’s company is called MiHoYo. Wuthering Waves's company is called Kuro Games.

dunno, i eventually got bored with WuWa. Slooow death, i havent even maxed out my Jinshi .. maybe because it feels like im playing another Genshin only with more challenging stuff.
Genshin -- i quit a year ago. Dont care what they do with that game, even if i already spent money -- dont wanna play a game that feels like a chore.

because if you think about it, Nikke is a much more boring version of any other gacha game, yet i still play it. i wanna get RH and the challenge of that game is enjoying enough
and as for ZZZ, i hate Lycaon, but man his moves are amazingly done. Plus these games respects the typical salaryman's time. If im too lazy to do it, the dailies are done in minutes.
