Its clear a lot of people just went with Tectone and didnt actually watch or listen to the video. Initially I assumed it would be a shill, but the guy does raise some good counter points. I say this as someone that stopped playing Genshin in 1.4 having all the issues Tectone didnt have with the game untill much later. (ofcourse, I was also not a whale like him..) Tectone has one huge issue: he doubles down on every perspective he takes, which makes his L's go all the harder too. Like in this case, because he was extremely biased towards it criticising a video he liked and thought was good, and because it was critizing him. The last few days are an eyeopener for me regarding my views on Tectone. I'll be 100% real, I was part of the "gate keeping" crowd (By which I mean I tend to pass on hot topics debating about the lows and needs of the game, I don't go out hating and bashing content creators). I was a huge follower Tectone first when the game released. I loved his videos and even stopped in to join the streams. But after his alleged branding as a "hater/saboteur", I stayed away from most of his content. But, as I stated in the beginning, these past few days completely changed my mind about his stance. It's clear he loved the game. And in fact, he still cares enough for the game that he is still taking heat from the negligent crowd to open more eyes. In the end, I respect this man. We need more like him. Willing to be real and blatant about the game. (Although, his sarcasm can be misunderstood quite some times.) Hopefully, more people can come to terms, wake up to reality and work together for the greater good.
I really like genshin. I just started playing in November 2023 but even as a new player you could see the obvious flawes the game has. I really appreciate Tectone for doing this content. At the end of the day I just want the game to be better

for the free contact point if anyone does not get it, it's like industry standard, if the big talents sign for free, other smaller talents will think and feel as that's standard for the game and they will sign, or if a manager brings a sponsorship they get 20% cut from the big talent, smaller talents will get a prospective on what to cut is fair. when a bigger talent take a tiny deal, the smaller ones will have to agree or they will be left out. that's said I never expected that mihoyo had the right to disclose who took the deal and what they got, if that's also in the contract (mihoyo is allowed to tell others about the contract details while the talent is not), bro that's extremely shitty thing to sign.

For the cat thing, the guy explained it absolutely terribly, but I believe what he’s trying to say is that because the person has a history of already killing cats before being a Genshin player, that person’s actions of killing a cat because he hates Scaramouche is a separate issue from Genshin itself. Genshin can’t control who plays its game, which means they have no control over another person’s individual actions caused by what that individual thinks about their in-game characters. Thus, the “Genshin cat killer” is actually just “A cat killer who plays Genshin.” The killer just so happens to have Genshin’s Scaramouche as an excuse to kill a cat this time around. He could have come up with an excuse using anything, but decided to use Genshin to pin the blame on. So basically using that information is a moot point when talking about Genshin, because the incident is ultimately not a Genshin-related issue, but about a mentally-deranged cat killer who’s trying to use any excuse they can to justify killing a cat. But the person who made this video really makes no sense anyway, so I can understand why he’d absolutely tank in explaining such a thing clearly. Most of what he said is just jargon in my head. Mental gymnastics are needed to actually try and figure out what he’s talking about.

I say this as someone that stopped playing Genshin in 1.4 having all the issues Tectone didnt have with the game untill much later. (ofcourse, I was also not a whale like him..)
Tectone has one huge issue: he doubles down on every perspective he takes, which makes his L's go all the harder too. Like in this case, because he was extremely biased towards it criticising a video he liked and thought was good, and because it was critizing him. Tectone loves to say that games should be allowed to be criticised (so they can get better) and the irony ofcourse is that he never applies that rule to himself. He should. It's so hard to believe that there are actual people who blind themselves to the truth. Being overly positive over a game is one thing, but justifying crimes is a different level of low.
The last few days are an eyeopener for me regarding my views on Tectone. I'll be 100% real, I was part of the "gate keeping" crowd (By which I mean I tend to pass on hot topics debating about the lows and needs of the game, I don't go out hating and bashing content creators). I was a huge follower Tectone first when the game released. I loved his videos and even stopped in to join the streams. But after his alleged branding as a "hater/saboteur", I stayed away from most of his content. But, as I stated in the beginning, these past few days completely changed my mind about his stance. It's clear he loved the game. And in fact, he still cares enough for the game that he is still taking heat from the negligent crowd to open more eyes. In the end, I respect this man. We need more like him. Willing to be real and blatant about the game. (Although, his sarcasm can be misunderstood quite some times.) Hopefully, more people can come to terms, wake up to reality and work together for the greater good.

For the cat thing, the guy explained it absolutely terribly, but I believe what he’s trying to say is that because the person has a history of already killing cats before being a Genshin player, that person’s actions of killing a cat because he hates Scaramouche is a separate issue from Genshin itself. Genshin can’t control who plays its game, which means they have no control over another person’s individual actions caused by what that individual thinks about their in-game characters.
Thus, the “Genshin cat killer” is actually just “A cat killer who plays Genshin.”
The killer just so happens to have Genshin’s Scaramouche as an excuse to kill a cat this time around. He could have come up with an excuse using anything, but decided to use Genshin to pin the blame on.
So basically using that information is a moot point when talking about Genshin, because the incident is ultimately not a Genshin-related issue, but about a mentally-deranged cat killer who’s trying to use any excuse they can to justify killing a cat.
But the person who made this video really makes no sense anyway, so I can understand why he’d absolutely tank in explaining such a thing clearly.
