- Diecast Restoration Dinky Toys mighty Antar low loader ,this is one of three of this type that Dinky Toys produced, it was a bit of work getting the propeller to clean up but it's OK now .
thanks for watching. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
That is, beyond doubt, a thing of beauty! Great colour choices, lovely finish and a testament to patience with judiciously applied violence! 😂

Another masterpiece of workmanship once again😎😎😎😎😎😎 as brother..
Cheers wally glad you liked it my
great job Martin. As usual, you showed how you can improve the model by showing more details that the manufacturer ignores by painting everything in one color. The colors match this model very well. Kind regards
Thanks Paul, that for me is the fun part .
All the best Martin 👍

Martin, I enjoy working on trucks in this scale, and I sure enjoyed watching you do yours. It's like Dinky didn't try very hard doing it all in one colour. Yours looks so much better with all the details you did. Bravo on this one! 🍁☕👍
Thanks very much my friend, yes thay could have put more of an effort into this beast but iam pleased how it turned out .
All the best Martin

As you know Martin I’m a big fan of huge haulers, construction equipment etc, the ones that you’ve done in the past were fantastic, this restoration is nothing short of superbly done.👍The red paint & gray 👍& the detailing top notch 👍&the propeller load (Gold)everything very colorful 👍😉,you take care my friend, see ya on your next restoration.👋😎🚙🚗🚒
Thanks for the kind words Jeff I really appreciate it my friend 👍
Awesome restoration. That propeller looks quite lifelike in that color.
Thanks very much I appreciate it it my friend 👍
You can only do what you can with what you got Martin and you did a great job my friend.
Thanks very much John it's really appreciated my friend
What a great restoration again of a wonderful model,my favorite is the tank transporter version,as had a job where we scrapped ships props up to 5 ton,the condition they came in was very poor, usually
made from aluminium bronze I had to cut them into 18 inch pieces to sell on to foundries to remelt, only had a stil disc saw and some large ones would take 2 to 3 days to process, discs would last about 10 minutes so a bit of white finger by the end of the day.
Thanks John, I do have the tank transporter and tank to do at some point ,blimey that was a long hard job cutting those props up ,I used to work for a demolition company many moobs ago knocking houses and old industrial buildings down ,it was hard work but fun .
All the best Martin
A very nice job Martin i do like the colours the load look ok to me done a good job tidying it up. I did not realise that version had glass in it it does look nicer 👍👌.
Ralph

Absolutely stunning 👍
Cheers Andy 🍻
Excellent as always
Cheers mick .
Cracking job Martin. Love àlso the fine detail. Looks great in the reð Almost tempted to look out for one of these. Looks a massive beast. Remember someone telling me these had 2 engines in them. Never checked to see if that was true. Always remember seeing these rumble past my school on their way to the Royal Artillery base at Larkhill on Salisbury plain. Always had tanks on. No idea what sort. Mightve been Centurions
Thanks Ian, yes thay did have 2 engines there are 2 rad fill caps on the front .twin fuel tanks a bit of a monster.
lookign good, I like the red. and the propeller came up golden, too. :)
those permanent connections between truck and trailer are always a nuisance, especially if they are worn out...
Yes I agree some of the connections don't stand the test of time luckily this wasn't to bad ,the shoulder on the pin governs the amount of play witch is quite a lot really.
All the best Martin 👍
Brilliant work Martin, turned out really nice,
Love the load, and the red looks awesome, Cheers mate

Fantastic job on that mate - sorry the Propellor proved to be such a headache, but looks fantastic all finished!
Thanks very much, yes I was pleased that I could save the load on the back it saved me a lot of money.

Great Resto Martin. Cheers Michael
Cheers Michael 🍻
Amazing restoration. If I remember correctly, the early ones did not have windscreens.
Visited Duxford many years ago and saw the real Mighty Antar in the land vehicle hall. I could not believe the size of this vehicle.
Thanks very much I think it was only the red one that had glass the yellow and army ones didn't ,I haven't seen one close up .
All the best Martin 👍
Lovely job mate 👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
great job on the antar super detailing ,have done one myself ,might finnish mine with a bit of detailing as well ,top man Martin
Thanks very much my friend its really appreciated 👍
Great job mate the propeller tuned out really good. Some good out of the box thinking there on riveting the trailer back on and the paint job and details are excellent. I finally booked a rubbish skip for next week.....THE BIG CLEAN OUT...If it hasn't been used in the last 30 years it go's. I'm going to try and get rid of all that wood and bits of steal pipe and junk that has been in storage for 30 years just in case I might need it one day.😂😂🤣🤣Catch you on the next one mate if I don't disappear under an avalanche of rubbish.
🤣🤣👍🏻
That is one Great Dinky Supertoy! Really enjoyed watching this Martin, super work, thank you.
Blimey you will be busy, if its anything like my sheds where before I retired.
I will send a search party out next week if I don't hear from you 🤣🤣
Turned out well Mart, good job on the propeller mate I thought you'd end up needing a new one of those.
Thanks John, luckily it was savable because thay aren't cheap to buy.
All the best Martin 👍
My grandad drove a diamond T during the war out in Palestine are they similar ,great restoration as always my friend
Mark 😊😊
Thronycroft antars where british tank transporters diamond t where American tank transporters Thronycroft where a popular make of lorries made for general road haulage haven't been made for many years
Cheers Mark yep I know that truck I have seen a couple at some reenactment shows that I have been to .
All the best Martin
Epic stuff Martin.
Thanks Tommy I appreciate it my friend

You're a Gift to us all Martin🙏👍😉
Hi Martin we think this one is PROPer nice. All the best from Ian b & family.
Thanks very much Ian 🤣
A++
Thanks very much my friend 😀
Cracking job - reminded me of how tricky the Antar is! Took me ages to do mine and I didn't have a load to do! Your detailing is again, an object lesson in patience and care, Martin. There is always something to learn! Useful peening section, too. Great result - really smart.
Cheers fraser, it's a large casting to handle the thing what took the longest was the axles.
I have the tank transporter to do ,I probably won't take the back of that one and paint it as one peice.
All the best Martin 👍
I actually prefered it in the Pickfords colours! Not a bad casting, the cab was used 3 times, the trailer twice,Biggest mistake Dinky made, was putting the driver on the right side,All Photo's i've seen of the real Antar, has it as left hand drive, some even having a warning plate stating 'Caution,Left Hand Drive'
Thanks Terry left hand drive makes sense on something as big as this ,the pickfords scheme isn't a bad one for this ,if I get a spare one I might give it a go .
All the best Martin

Cheers Kenny 🍻 I hope your well my friend 😀
it was perfect job 🚩🚩
Thanks very much my friend
Use shim brass super glued or epoxy glue on the propeller to add realism
OK sounds interesting 🤔 thanks for that my friend
