Ya, you too! My brother before convention did the same and yep...that was over 40 years ago. I guess a broken clock is right at least 2 in a day. So if it happens they'll be right one day lol
I will be 67 next Month. A pioneer sister once told me "if you don't pioneer you will not make it through Armageddon" Well she died years ago of old age.
My study teachers pioneer wife told me my kindergarten son would not make it to junior high before the end I was 19. He is almost 40 now what a waste of time. They actually put you in life time out.
So what does that tell you...? Cults must have a lot of borderline personality disorders, they are personalities that won't let you leave, they are the type that want to have a target always ready at their disposal to pick on and blame and abuse. Sounds like the devil himself.
@@justinamusyoka4986 This is what I mean by "cult" and "religion." A cult will make you end relationships with people who don't share your beliefs; a cult will tell you you can only read their books, including their version of the Bible; a cult will tell you you can't pursue higher education because Jehovah will be back soon to destroy the unbelieving world any minute now and, in fact, erroneously set dates for such an event, which never occurred; a cult will tell you to shun your family and friends because they decided to go a different way. Finally, a cult will come harass you at your home to come back and/or disfellowship yourself from the group. Here's the difference: When I left the Catholic church and became a born-again Christian, none of those things happened. They never bothered me or tried to browbeat me into submission. As bad as JWs are about this, it's nothing compared to the church of Scientology, who will do all of those things and try to ruin your reputation so you can never find a job again or your family will have nothing to do with you because they lied about you having an affair or doing drugs or some made-up story about you. This is why there is a difference between a religion and a cult.
I left mentally in 2019 but put in my letter of disassociation in Jan 2023. I am still fascinated by why others leave and hearing their story. Thanks for sharing!
Let me ask . Why did you put your letter of disassociation in? I know it’s a sensitive topic but I apologize in advance. To me that means your still playing there game which isn’t real.
@@tyedup8884 because when I put my letter in, I was also leaving my marriage. And I refused to get disfellowshipped when I had already left years before
I studied at 20 years of age and was in for 38 years and just left February 2023! What an absolute relief and didn’t take long to realize I’d been in a Cult! What a strange process you go through on leaving peeling away all the layers of indoctrination, the horrendous methods they use. Luckily my husband never showed interest or family so only shunned by friends but have new life now and so much happier. This organisation makes you feel your never going to be good enough always want more they suck you of anything they can get from you. Love hearing of others waking up. ❤
Great comment! The indoctrination is slow like boiling a frog...you don't realize it until it's too late. Glad you woke up and family ties are intact. I never felt good enough either, always felt guilty for not doing more. Found freedom in Christ, His load is light and refreshing to my soul. I woke up after 60 years.
Let's not stop at Birthdays. How about Graduation Parties? How about Wedding Receptions? Baby Showers anyone? If Birthdays are wrong for idolatry towards another person...what does that say of the parties I mentioned here?
@@Gary-Coxehave you ever wondered why they ain't an even number? Because most of the decision is based on voting, then a scripture is used to validate the decision. Even number will make it hard to vote well.
Loved your energy. We too are paying a high price for our freedom and feeling the shunning in our own flesh by our daughters. We are born & raised jw, raised our kids there, woke up 50 years in and now due to our voluntary decision of walking away from the cult (no sin whatsoever), we lost contact with our beloved daughters. Things are better emotionally for us, although scarred, but have peaceful life, have good unconditional friends and hope one day our grown kids wake up too. No joke this cult brakes families apart, but one has to fight for our mental freedom. Like many captive ones in a concentration camp decided to flee, despite shots wounds, scrapes and bruises, they ran and lived, well, similarly when you escape from a cult you'll be wounded emotionally and mentally but it is worth the fight, but plan, plan, plan your escape. Long live freedom, cheers!!
The reason I believed we didn't celebrate birthdays is because scripture says better the day of your death than birth because you've lived your life and people know the person you are and more importantly God knows you.
I am in my 50's as well. Got my immediate family out but rest of all my family relentlessly shuns me for standing up against the child abuse issues. Unreal...
Great video ! Was brought up in the Cult. Was an Elder for 16 years my Dad twice that long. We all left about 20 years ago. We never had any JW friends, as it seemed I was the only one not living a double life, and I never married one. Something deep in my gut just knew something was wrong. For years we talked among ourselves how they are worshipping the organization ect. and yes every cong. we were in over the years had a child molester. How do I feel now ? Every day I feel like I won the lottery or missed the Titanic. I am the same good person I always was.
@@Gary-Coxe I don't go to any Church, we have the Bible and I do believe in the Kingdom, the JWs have it all twisted up and have there own kingdom that they want you to be slaves to. Also I am caring for my 92 year old Mother that lives with me and that keeps me very busy.
16 years an elder... dear me. I was 16 years RP. Did you have to go and apologize to anyone you DF'd ?? Yeah, I'm interested too whether you believe in God or go to church. It seems most have enmeshed God with the Watchtower sadly and once they leave they don't know how to believe in God without the cult. It takes time. All our group of friends in WT ever talked about was how bad things were but it was always blamed on the elders. We just had to get new elders and then the new ones were never any good and so the cycle went round and round. As we were leaving we realized that it was really the organization, the poor elders were just the "used" men. That's what was bad, the org. the men were just used and abused. Just like a true gang mob, they get the new elders to commit something horrific like disfellowship a friend or a family member, then they can be truly used by the org. to do all kinds of horrendous things.
@@muma6559 Was only on one DISS/F. case, was a very dirty person and he died about 25 years ago. Yes I believe in God and the Kingdom, don't go to any Church, we have the Bible, read it without JW. glasses. The problem is that we listen to others telling us what the Bible says instead of reading it and using our brains. You are right about the Elders. They are just puppets. The CO. calls all the shots. They are the wolves in sheep coverings, they come to the cong. with a big smile and seem so loving and give good talks. But the nicer they seem the worse they are. they are like mad men with the Elders and there power has gone to there heads. Like being in Russia, if you say anything or don't agree with Putin you are dead. So too if you don't agree with the CO or even give him a wrong look you are finished, so elders are afraid to share there feelings about them to others in case it gets back to him. I remember one elder telling me about our CO. he said "I know something about mental problems and I can tell you our CO has serious mental problems" Yes he was an extreme bipolar or demon possessed person and that was on a good day.
I was in this cult for forty years. As I was preparing to pioneer in 2014 I had an encounter with the Holy Spirit and set free. I was also delivered from a spirit of fear this evil institution had put me under.
I’ve never seen your videos before. You are fantastic 🎉 I got kicked out at 16. It almost killed me. I’m sooooo happy I’m free 😄 I just started speaking out on TH-cam 🎉
Hey beautiful! Thanks so much. Just watch some of your videos. Well done. Where do you live? DM on me on IG (garycoxe) and we'll have to connect. Stay at it!
I left for all the same reasons, all the changes. I didn't even know what I was supposed to believe anymore. I was born into it, 3rd generation. Free now, a follower of Christ only, not men or religion or a cult, although I do attend a Bible based church and have replaced my old friends with new ones. I managed to fade over the course of about a year by going to different congregations in the area, so if someone asked why I wasn't at the meeting, I'd say I was at another congregation. Then I just stopped going at all. I still have a few friends and family in who talk to me, but they think I am just inactive and will come back to Jehovah soon. Haven't been back in 6 years, but the elders come by once a year to invite me to the memorial, but I don't answer the door. Loved your video and subscribed. I had 3 friends that were sa by their fathers, 2 were elders. It's in all congregations. I finally figured out why they don't report. They used the scripture that says don't take your brother to court. To them, it meant not for any reason at all, apparently not even for sa or murder or anything.
I totally get it 'eye'. Crazy stuff we went through and glad you made it out and thanks for connecting. Looking forward to see more of you! Stay the course!
I was fascinated by your video . The cult desires to control your mind and soul. They desire to be the centre of your family life. This is why there is so much suicide and depression in this cult. I was really blessed that I never agreed with these witnesses when I met them. I told them that I am a witness of the Lord Jesus as stated in Acts 1:8 I’m now a disciple of the Lord Jesus while making other disciples on my daily walk with Jesus 24/7
Amen brother! Not that I do that Amen shit anymore. I was born in and 68 yr old now left 20+ years ago. It took my family and my life. But because of the freedom that gave me I now have a new and truly happy life free of cult lies and control. Great channel and will support you and look forward to chatting again.
Very succinct! I could tell you so many stories from my 24 or so years growing up in the quagmire that is the J.W. thinking. The day I realized that they truly did not have any authority over me or my thought process was the scariest day of my life because I was starting over from nothing. But it was also the day I first felt freedom! I had been raised in an emotional prison and had not realized it until then.
Thanks Gary! This is so refreshing to hear....I faded nearly 30 years now and it was a difficult journey because of my indoctrination. I will pray that our exbrothers and sisters will see the light but most probably won't...sadly.
Nice to connect Phil. Glad you're out as well, yeah tough to get others out...to much in their minds to 'lose'! Hope to see you again soon. Next video like this coming out in a few days.
I love the way you explain this. As a born I can remember thinking a lot of things didn't make sense. My dad believed in the "rod". So it was agree or else.
The best way to leave is to move to another location and "fade away". If you can't move, just slowly become "inactive" and "fade away". Expect the following: 1)... If your married, strife from your JW wife for "not taking the spiritual lead". It might be easier to fake an illness (bad back is always a good excuse) to explain why you can't sit in the Hall for two hours or do a lot of "door to door" walking. Fade. That is the key. 3)... Shame visits from "concerned" Elders that will "encourage" you to get with the program. Move away, fade away... best strategy.
@Gary-Coxe Why play their shame game? Lose family and (less importantly) friends for what? The satisfaction? You imagine someone cares? They don't. It just reinforces their belief that they are in the "end times" where many will "fall away". Ain't playing that game.
@Papi_WT If you are looking for another reason to be physical out, I will briefly share you my story. When I was 17 yrs old I was SA'd by a family member. I was so ridden with guilt and shame that I went to the elders for help. Instead of helped, I was interrogated for hours and eventually disfellowshipped. I guess they thought I must have brought this upon myself. My abuser was never confronted nor reported. Though being shunned by everyone I knew and loved my whole life was extremely painful, I was NOW FREED. I chose to move to New York, went to college, made new amazing friends who loved me unconditionally, I met and married a great guy, have an amazing career and 2 beautiful children. I know it may not seem like it right now, but there is light at the end of the tunnel and there is life after the JWs. I wish you love and healing .
The failed Armageddon predictions were piling up, so they stopped predicting and now say soppy things like "Any day now or soon," but haven't given a prediction in 50 years. 😢
Every prediction they made, FAILED. Deuteronomy 18:22. Everything they believe, is changing, they’re telling the jws it’s from the Bible! But the Bible hasn’t changed, just the THOUGHTS of their governing NOBODY. Frauds. The only reason anyone should fear these ‘males’ is when they talk and believe their lies. However..We know better💗😉
They have used this as a means of fearmonger to keep jws in the org as they indoctrinate them to believe that anyone who leaves the org will be lost at Armageddon. In other words, jw org is God's org, and he will save those whose membership is with the org. They have used it so much over the years, that Stephen Lett had to say, "We're living in the final part of the last days, undoubtedly, the final part of the final part of the last days, shortly before the last day of the last days"... jws are seriously indoctrinated under mind control to believe all of this false witness as truth.
Being a Jehovah’s Witness is like riding a ride at the amusement park; eventually you begin to realize hey look I’m on the ride in an amusement park; because you’re realizing your not a child anymore and you get off the ride; then you can help others to grow up too; by showing them, you can!
What an oxymoronic comment, So you can leave and are not really tied down to it if you disagree at a later point, you can just leave... No problem! so, it's not a Cult then!
GARY!!!! It's been almost 20 years since I saw you in N.P.C.C .. I knew you weren't going to last 😂 .. to me your mindset was different from everyone else...I guess that's why I enjoyed working with you in field service 😊 Glad you're doing well! I also went through the fire when I left. Please reach out!
It is certainly emotional blackmail indeed. The belief that birthdays are wrong is itself is based on a faulty interpretation of certain Bible verses about two parties celebrated in ancient times. I am glad that you left that cult and its sham of a religion. Thank you for pointing out the Watchtower Society's blatant hypocrisy.
How citing two birthdays that went wrong is reason birthday isn't celebrated and Rutherford stating in one publication back then that " since the most important birthday which is of Jesus christ wasn't celebrated, why then should we honor ours".. that alone show how much this is a man made ideology and doctrine and someday it will be done away with like the beard issue.
It always made me sad when one kid in my class had to sit in the hall and the teacher had to explain he hadn't done anything wrong it's just that he is Jehovah witness and he can't celebrate birthdays. I would see him trying to peek in and we weren't even alowed to share our tim bits or cupcakes. He couldn't play with anyone at recess 😢 His parents eventually withdrew him from catholic school I asked my mom about it and she said they are a cult pretending to be Christians. She explained their beliefs it scared me to the core.
You make such excellent points!! Would love to hear more from you. I was born-in, never baptized but still went through a lot with them. Was both kicked out of my house and ran away, multiple major surgeries with no blood (my first at 15) and many years of nightmares about Armageddon! Thanks for speaking on this. So many are coming out now! I went back & forth, studied 3 times but always could feel something was off - mostly the hypocrisy kept me away. I was shunned back in the 80s when they used to shun unbaptized members before they changed it back to only shunning baptized ones. So crazy. This org is responsible for a lot of people's pain and broken families❤
This guy was on Facebook whining about how his ballot wasn't counted. He lives in California, all red votes go in the round file. lol Duh, He's a genius!
I hope all is well ❤️🩹 with you sir and do not give up on The Almighty YHWH and His Son. The jws do not get to dictate your relationship with Them. Your salvation is what matters. 🕊️
A very good video …personally I came from a jehovah witness family of five , and I was very uncomfortable , especially in my teen years with belonging to that organization because of all of the discomforts of being in the jw organization..finally I discovered a word that described the jw organization to a T and that was the end of the organization for me…! the word ‘CULT’ describes the jw organization very well when broken down , and those words are ‘CONTROLLERS’ , ‘USERS’ , ‘LIARS’ , ‘TRAUMATIZERS ‘ , and after realizing all of that , and remembering all of their unbiblical teachings , after reading their ‘new world translation’ book , Mathew right through to Revelation , I decided to get right out of the organization altogether and have never looked back since..! hope all of you out there in the same predicament will be able to do the same thing one day , and subsequently you will be a very much happier person, even if the rest of your family does not agree …! another way to put it is ‘ your life will depend on all of the above ‘…! thanks so much for reading this , and you will never regret the benefits of all of the above….!
I'm glad you're out. At least you have an excuse for being in that freak show, having been born into it. Every person that I've known who voluntarily joined that organization had obvious mental problems & were looking for "a crutch to lean on". I wouldn't wish Jehovah Witness membership on someone I hated.
But unfortunately there's a recent but useless jw update from the Governing Body that hundreds maybe thousands of people who aren't part of the cult decided to accept a Bible study from the cult😢
Gary, many blessings to you. Great video and great truth. On spot. Do more videos. You are needed, loved and appreciated. Ismael, Kingdom Christian Witness of Jah from sunny 🌞 Puerto Rico.
Sad... That you believe our minds are closed... What you truly don't realized that OUR MINDS don't rub on the FLESH but only with a pure HEART ... Which is designed by God, which is very delicate. Proverbs 4:23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Did you see it "DETERMINES " the course of your life. NO ONE IS HOLDING ANY JW in contempered. @@geraniumroseum It was "their day" so because they didn't use the word "birthday", you can't understand that? ... but you can understand somehow that there was a "Governing Body" in Biblical times, even though there's zero indication of it from the wording?

I really wanted to say nice job on this. Your spot on I left in 2018 and then was labeled an apostate for open late, not agreeing with the governing bodies, doctrines, and manipulation of the Bible. My mother and my own daughter treat me like a criminal. It is very sad and I pray every day that they wake up and serve Jesus Christ.
Every time I hear about someone getting out of the Watchtower cult, I get a little hopeful that others will follow. I never was a JW. I started studying with my "BFF" and others who ended up joining. When I started pointing out major red flags in their theology and their false translation of the "bible," the shunning started immediately. I still to this day pray that they get out, but after 40 years, the hope is getting a little dimmer. Please, if you're thinking about leaving, do your homework. There are a lot of books/websites/TH-cam channels on this subject. I just thank God every day that He pointed me in another direction and spared me the life that I would have lived if He had not.

Just found you! You are so right I was shaking my head yes every time I could recall something about that religion that you said. I just subscribed and look forward to seeing your videos😊 Thanks
I would love more videos about more of this. My fiance a year ago decided to join JW and now we are having a hard time because I won’t join the organization. And it’s hard because we have a son together and now dad isn’t joining us for birthday and holidays.
oh crap...get him out or cut your losses! I"m serious. You can't be happy if he's deep in it. You will live on egg shells for the rest of your life. If you didn't have your baby you'd leave. So you should stay now? mmmmmm hugs!
Oh no! I'm so sorry. It's very difficult to be in a relationship with a JW because they view themselves as knowing "the truth" and everyone else knows nothing about God & the Bible because they see themselves as the only qualified teachers. Conversations with them are one-way only, although they try to make it appear as if they listen to you. They only see you as the student who needs to learn and conform to their way. Keep your son away from them, if you're able. It is a dangerous cult.

Here's a thought on birthdays. On King Herod's birthday, his wife took advantage of the situation of the offer he made to her daughter and used it to get John the Baptist beheaded. The king didn't want it, the daughter was a pawn used by the queen who wanted and instigated it. So does that make the birthday evil or the person who uses the occasion evil? On Pharaoh's birthday, they say his birthday is bad because the baker was beheaded. Now if the birthday is bad because the baker died, then the birthday is also GOOD because the cupbearer was restored. Jehovah's Witnesses had no answer.
6:57 is very true , most of the times they don't really know why they believe something, but they defend it with all their might I remember i use to have this heated debate with my colleagues at work about how women shouldn't wear pants for religious activities, and this one woman felt so sorry for me , she told me , i just feel so sad when i see you in this cold weather with skirt and i just shrugged and said , well pants is a dishonour to our message . And now look at how all of thd sudden pants didn’t bring dishonour to the message ...
I have attended some Kingdom Hall meetings and the feel is quite formal and business like in manner. What I have noticed and no matter what meeting you attend and provided your dressed like them they always ask " Where are you from ? " Its as thought you are visiting from another Kingdom Hall. If a Brother or Sister has not seen you before and they think your new they always come up and introduce them self. Nine times out of ten they will talk about the religion and perhaps ask about attending a bible study. From the impression outside looking in it is a conversation that is copied by anyone in the congregation. During a conversation and also if they know your new and if you have been attending a few times is to ask " Are you currently studying ?" Again you will have this question asked at any Congregation and Kingdom Hall you may attend. In summary there are a lot of good aspects such as the smaller congregations, the welcoming. The Bible talks are delivered well. I feel some of the study talks and meeting talks can be controversial to a normal Christian such as talking about shunning , disfellowship etc. Would the JW's be better to take a more relaxed approach for allowance of attendees to come and go without the pressure for full commitment ? At the moment as soo as you walk in the door they want you fully committed from day one.
Great observation. It's so controlling and you slowly get sucked in. Most people now are just born into it like I was and don't know any better. Great to meet you Glen and hope to see you again!

Yep, they often grab a lot of new jw slaves who are found in a vulnerable phase and who seek some form of comfort and hope. Jim Jones caught a of his followers in his 'Jonestown" cult because of that... When they come to my house, I gave them the true gospel in the life, ministry and word of Jesus Christ & his apostles, and they can't stand it, so they ran off and I don't see them again...

Great video and im gonna sub for more. One of watchtower’s favorite things to do is to take a statement of fact and turn it into a commandment. “A birthday happened, and someone died” ----> Not any commandments I see there. Maybe a pharisee would come up with one tho!
Greetings, I was baptized in 1997 at the age of 17. I left in 1998 because a ministerial servant talked to me in the back of the Hall and told me that now that I am a Jehovah's Witness, I have to believe whatever is printed in the Watchtower. I corrected him and said, "You mean, the Bible." He said, "No. Unless it's printed in the Watchtower, then it's not true. If it's printed in the Watchtower, then it must be true." He unintentionally woke me up, and after hearing that (I was getting reprimanded for a comment that I made during the Watchtower study) I could not stay in that religion. I did what years later was called a hard fade. We weren't allowed to go on the internet at that time because the internet was the tool of Satan when I left. All I had was the New World Translation Reference Edition. So I learned the truth from that and thats how I further learned that they were false.
@Biff-c5h that was the problem. Jehovah said that he was a God exacting exclusive devotion. However, it was being said to give our loyalty to Jehovah's organization and direct people to Jehovah's organization. If you read Moses, you never gave loyalty to Jehovah's organization, which was Israel/Jerusalem. Neither did you give loyalty even to Moses. All loyalty, all attention, all focus went to Jehovah. It was because the organization was not recognizing that, but wanting what belonged to Jehovah to be given to the organization, caused me to HAVE TO leave even though I believed that they still could be true religion. I had to leave until they stopped committing idolatry. This was in 1998. In 1998 a few months after I had stopped going, five of the anointed in my circuit were disfellowshipped for apostasy out of nowhere.

You may not be aware, but Jehovah/Yahweh is actually the devil. The Hebrews worshipped their God of the Hebrew scriptures.....Yahweh.

What's stupid about birthdays is that you can remove all the stuff JW leadership objects to but the celebration is still a sin. But all those JWs who get their panties in a bundle over it will use their birthday coupons!
My last birthday was when I was 6. All birthdays. Holidays and all school celebrations were taboo. I had a graduation party in '86. I left in '87. I wad done with all the BS. all the hypocrisy. Never looked back, I was free. I've remet a lot of my friends growing up in that culture on FB. All of them are free too.
I stopped going to grad parties because i recognized they were birthday parties without candles. One of the few JW men respected told me to just attend anyway because everyone else is. At that point i knew it was impossible to reason with these people.
I left early this year but my wife is still in and full time pioneer,is really a challenge she's always with them than at home . Weekends are worse I'm on my own
I had the same issue with my wife, you have to man up and give her an ultimatum. Provide her a document full of reasons as to why the JW's are false and tell her that she is no longer allowed to attend those meetings as long as she lives under your household rules. You gotta man up. Ask who is she married to you or the governing body members of the JW's? If she is loyal to you, she will do anything to stay by your side, even if it means making a sacrifice to not be in her cult
@ yes I was born and raised for around 28 years. I was baptised and my parents are still jws, it’s not easy but it’s like a light bulb switched in my head when I speak with them now. They can’t see things for what they are
Great arguments😅 Thank you 😊 It's a long list of their new light😏I was at pioniers training in 2016 and found a whole list on jw site about changing doctrines and their believes. My point was that holy spirit is never wrong bc it's from our Creator. So if gb is guided by holy spirit/ so they claim/ why then they change their doctrines all the time calling a new light?🫣 Well, after putting my letter and announcement, nobody loved me anymore, including one of our daughters🤤like light switch 😅 We couldn't be happier now and grateful for one open minded daughter ❤ Looking forward to your next video 👍💪 So my digging begun, covid time was my savior🤗
Its a reality game of Mahjong which is 100 percent comparable. I am so happy for the people who have left this cult and most of all the guidance got though videos fantastic videos like these. Don't join this game of Mahjong / JHW society in the first place , give excuses if they are trying to be pull you into it and pretend to be busy ...even better.
My wife and I Drifted away in and around 1993. One thing though, WE never went to any other so called church, nor practice these phony holidays. But I had my wife and she had me, until she passed away in 2020, but I thought well I was born Alone, and I watched my wife die ALONE, so WE all do those 2 things ALONE. I have 2 Friends from my JW days, and really they are great people then and still, but I think they are willing to push the envelope some.
Hi Gary, my name is Monique. I am an elderly French lady living in Australia. I found your channel this morning. I left the JWs in 1993 as I found out their falses prophecies. I found myself completely on my own. I lost my son and all his family in it. I was heart broken. During that time there was no TH-cam like now to help me. I found little by little their errors. They hold you by fear which I experienced for many years but there was no way I could go back to this cult. All I could do during all theses years is pray for my family who is in, for them to get out. Thank you so much for your video Gary. I hope you will do more of them to reach the JWs out there. I am still searching for the truth about God and His Son Jesus Christ. I still believe in God. May God bless you and your ministry. 🙏
Hi Gary, it's Monique. Thank you so much for your reply. To be honest with you I am spiritually and emotionally damaged from my experience. I am still searching for the truth and I am scared to be deceived again. I am searching in Biblical Unitarian as I don't believe in the Trinity. I was deceived there too. There are so many different teachings and confusion in the world that's a bit scary. But I still want to know God and His Son Jesus Christ. I am not giving up, I am like a dog on a bone. 🙏
@@Gary-Coxe I wanted to share something that’s been on my heart. When we think of God, who is supreme and all-knowing, it’s clear that He doesn’t force us to follow Him-He gives us free will to choose our path. This is the nature of His love: it’s freely given, not forced, and He invites us to come to Him without coercion. If God, who is perfect, gives us the freedom to make our own choices, it seems inconsistent that we, as imperfect humans, would shun or reject others because of their personal beliefs. When people cut off family and friends over differences in faith, it doesn’t align with the example of love and compassion God has shown us. The Bible also teaches that God is not a God of confusion but of peace and joy. His message brings light, not fear, and it’s something that we’re all invited to explore and understand on our own. Nothing should be added to or removed from His Word, and even angels don’t know the exact timing of Christ’s return. Yet, the many predictions about the end times made by the Jehovah’s Witnesses, which didn’t come true, raise real questions. True faith should encourage understanding, not control or fear. God’s love brings peace, and He wants us to experience joy, not separation from those we love.

Most people don’t realize how important it is to not have any bills and not have to wonder about the daily cares of life; it’s like paradise on earth; and if you get to tell everybody around you what to do and be a big shot too; it’s even better, from their viewpoint.
that is true about everyone knowing a bunch of molesters or victims of molesters. I realized this while i was in, i started asking randomly and EVERYONE knew a number of these, everyone. It is rampant. Horror, perverts. They may as well call themselves Pervert land, not Watchtower.
Who is the one Jesus, the apostles and the prophets called, The Living and True God, if Jesus is his son? And who he is according to this civilization? Matthew 16:16 Simon Peter answered [To Jesus]: “You are the Christ, the SON.. of THE LIVING GOD.” Jeremiah 10:10 But Jehovah is the True God, HE IS - THE LIVING GOD - and the eternal King.- THE LIVING GOD - and the eternal King. Because of his indignation the earth will quake, And no nations will endure his denunciation. John 17:3 Jesus said praying to Jehovah: This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

Made it out. Despite the softening on shunning, it is alive and well if you are vocal about doubts in their leadership and the leaderships doctrine. I stopped going 3 years ago. High cost to leave, but couldn’t stay in.
I started to ask myself "Why am I sitting here, listening to someone telling me how to live my life when he doesn't even have a handle on his own life (and that goes for the 9 stuffed suits sitting in their ivory tower known as Watchtower)? Jehovah is one Jehovah. He is the same now as he was in the beginning. I didn't leave Jehovah...his Spirit left that Organization a long time ago (hence all the problems this Organization is facing today). They can blame it on Satan all they want, but in the final analysis... THEY'RE THE ONES who have fallen short...and yet, they double down on their actions...the majority of which aren't even Scriptural. With all the FAILED prophecies they make about the end (and make no mistake - they ARE prophecies), you would think they would admit they were wrong. The Bible clearly states As To The Time Of The End, NO ONE Knows The Hour, Not Even The Son (Jesus Christ)...But Only The Father (Jehovah). I can only wonder What Else Did They Get Wrong?
I can assure you Michael I have my life together! '"Why am I sitting here, listening to someone telling me how to live my life when he doesn't even have a handle on his own life

May you meet the only true God! Jesus Christ our saviour!!!!!!!! The one who died for us on the cross and who rose from the dead!! He will give you peace!!!!!!
Great video, @Gary Coxe! Watchtower's "Bible-trained conscience" line of reasoning only applies if one's Bible-trained conscience aligns with current Governing Body teachings. When Watchtower first announced that accepting certain "minor" blood fractions was a matter of conscience, it dawned on me that, if accepting even one blood fraction was a conscience matter, it follows that accepting a platelet transfusion would also be a conscience matter. When the Governing Body deemed wearing beards to be a conscience matter, every male JW suddenly sported a beard (including several GB members). If one needs a committee of total strangers to dictate what is or is not a matter of personal conscience, one is in a cult.
Don't get me started Roger! I was a sinner wearing a beard after leaving now I hear I'm not a sinner anymore. OMG You know if you know lol Thanks for stopping by.
You know this is a cult when you question things, point out inconsistencies, failures, anything negative, hidden history and you’re met with anger, fear and retribution.
JW = JESUS WITNESSES Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere-in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
This organization literally ruined my childhood and my mentality,, and sadly.. I'm starting to realize it now at 20 years old. I remember being so utterly depressed as a child, I went to school and I was treated by "worldly" people so much better than witnesses. In fact, I would get bullied, picked on, and pushed away by elders, kids, and adults in this organization. I'd get nasty looks and I didn't even know why.. It was at EVERY congregation. They'd be nice for a bit, but then they change on you and treat you badly if you literally miss a few meetings or if you don't go out in service. It's scary going out in service as a kid, I got threatened, doors slammed on me and told cruel things which really still affects me. When I was a child, my mom was very sick, she was in the hospital and also in mental hospitals as well and almost died and few times. The elders turned a blind eye, the congregation turned a blind eye. Why? Because they thought my mom was on drugs and my dad was an abuser. They treat my brother who is autistic very badly, as if he couldn't understand them when he is one of the smartest and nicest guys I know. Thankfully however I did meet a few nice Witnesses. But most of them were horrible. What REALLY woke me up was when I began to pray and ask to be fixed because I am bisexual but I prefer women because of how badly I was treated by men in the organization and out of the organization. I was so scared, because I'm always taught that if I go against Jehovah, I will not make it to the new system and I'll lose everything and everyone. The constant panic attacks and fear I always felt when we had talks about this exact thing is too much to handle. I almost put myself into the mental hospital because I felt like I was on the verge of a breakdown and I just wanted to die so I couldn't experience the pain anymore.. No one should ever have to go through this, ESPECIALLY kids.. Thankfully I'm fortunate as my parents said if I do leave the organization, they won't kick me out and they still reassure me that I am their daughter and that they love me. So, I left last week. It still feels so weird though. I just wish they could leave too, it's very sad because sometimes my parents look so depressed, especially when they can't make it to the meetings or go out in service. I love them so much, I just wish they could wake up as well. Thanks for this video! ❤
❤ 🫂 Are you able to talk to someone about everything you're going through? The good thing is you're young, have your whole life ahead and your parents let you stay at home. Maybe they have some doubts too and in time will leave too, but you need to concentrate on you. I hope you are ok. Big hugs! 🫂
20 your still young and that is a good thing. I'm 50 and was raised in the so called truth and woke up and left about 15 years ago after reading old publications. Just because you leave doesn't mean you stop trying to draw close to God it just takes away the GB. Just my suggestion focus on your talents and abilities and what makes you an individual, still pray to God in Jesus name to remove those desires. Then in life you'll meet the person intended for you doing what you love. Take care my friend
Now it gets better, if you're as smart as you think you are. Since your mind is damaged now, currently, the other cults are looking to pick you up. I created a religion that is hundreds of times better than anyone's Bible, better myths, more experiences, big cash. Money helps recovery. Ruminating will kill you quickly. Avoid strangers offering help, they con artist. I won't offer because I'm real, and if you don't work for me your just an NPC to me. That suck JW personality is hard to wipe clean..
In reference to birthdays, i remember that for example wedding aniversary was ok with cake, friends, gifts in general...the spiritual problem was the practice of making a wish when blowing the candles, the day when someone is born practice..something about pagan greek origin beliefs if i remember corectly, you can look it up. I stoped going to meetings like 5 years ago...and i still process everything...

"The difference between a cult and a religion is what happens when you try to leave."
Mike Rinder, Scientology and the Aftermath.
Aint that the truth! Thanks for watching
So what does that tell you...? Cults must have a lot of borderline personality disorders, they are personalities that won't let you leave, they are the type that want to have a target always ready at their disposal to pick on and blame and abuse. Sounds like the devil himself.
No difference. The term religion comes from a Latin word that means to bind, bound etc mentally and physically.
@@justinamusyoka4986 This is what I mean by "cult" and "religion."
A cult will make you end relationships with people who don't share your beliefs; a cult will tell you you can only read their books, including their version of the Bible; a cult will tell you you can't pursue higher education because Jehovah will be back soon to destroy the unbelieving world any minute now and, in fact, erroneously set dates for such an event, which never occurred; a cult will tell you to shun your family and friends because they decided to go a different way.
SO TRUE
It’s refreshing to see that more and more intelligent people are leaving the cult. But more of us should speak out.
I'm going to make more videos like this Brave. I'll do another one very soon! Thanks for hangin.

Your experience mirrors ours. Been out 5years after 50+ in. All the best.
Well put Starbrite and thanks for share. I'll do more of these video and hope to see more of you as well! Keep staying strong
The reason I believed we didn't celebrate birthdays is because scripture says better the day of your death than birth because you've lived your life and people know the person you are and more importantly God knows you.
Leave the JW cult & find the true love & welcome to the family of God!

Good for you 'Mck'. I felt the same way. Man what freedom we have now. You go to church at all or just leave it all alone?
@@Gary-Coxe I don't go to any Church, we have the Bible and I do believe in the Kingdom, the JWs have it all twisted up and have there own kingdom that they want you to be slaves to. Also I am caring for my 92 year old Mother that lives with me and that keeps me very busy.
You are so fortunate to leave with your family

I had 3 friends that were sa by their fathers, 2 were elders. It's in all congregations. I finally figured out why they don't report. They used the scripture that says don't take your brother to court. To them, it meant not for any reason at all, apparently not even for sa or murder or anything.

Very succinct! I could tell you so many stories from my 24 or so years growing up in the quagmire that is the J.W. thinking. The day I realized that they truly did not have any authority over me or my thought process was the scariest day of my life because I was starting over from nothing. @@Gary-Coxe So you rather be condemning rather than use God words and truth in a healthy way!!11
I love the way you explain this. As a born I can remember thinking a lot of things didn't make sense. My dad believed in the "rod". So it was agree or else.
The good ole 'rod' huh! So fanatical Latricia. How long ago was that?
The best way to leave is to move to another location and "fade away". If you can't move, just slowly become "inactive" and "fade away". Expect the following: 1)... If your married, strife from your JW wife for "not taking the spiritual lead". It might be easier to fake an illness (bad back is always a good excuse) to explain why you can't sit in the Hall for two hours or do a lot of "door to door" walking. Fade. That is the key.
3)... Shame visits from "concerned" Elders that will "encourage" you to get with the program.
Move away, fade away... best strategy.
Or just send'em that letter
@Gary-Coxe Why play their shame game? Lose family and (less importantly) friends for what? The satisfaction? You imagine someone cares? They don't. It just reinforces their belief that they are in the "end times" where many will "fall away". Ain't playing that game.
Thanks buddy. I left the cult 2 years ago.
Stay strong!

I was just reading about that.
Oops!! We made adding wrong. Maybe 2000? Opps, maybe 2500 ?
They have used this as a means of fearmonger to keep jws in the org as they indoctrinate them to believe that anyone who leaves the org will be lost at Armageddon. In other words, jw org is God's org, and he will save those whose membership is with the org. They have used it so much over the years, that Stephen Lett had to say, "We're living in the final part of the last days, undoubtedly, the final part of the final part of the last days, shortly before the last day of the last days"... jws are seriously indoctrinated under mind control to believe all of this false witness as truth.
Being a Jehovah’s Witness is like riding a ride at the amusement park; eventually you begin to realize hey look I’m on the ride in an amusement park; because you’re realizing your not a child anymore and you get off the ride; then you can help others to grow up too; by showing them, you can!
lol

It is certainly emotional blackmail indeed. The belief that birthdays are wrong is itself is based on a faulty interpretation of certain Bible verses about two parties celebrated in ancient times. I am glad that you left that cult and its sham of a religion. Thank you for pointing out the Watchtower Society's blatant hypocrisy.
Thanks for watching George. Such BS huh!
@Biff-c5h witnesses celebrate graduations..
@@asiborteddyblaine6203 Tell that to Gary lol
It always made me sad when one kid in my class had to sit in the hall and the teacher had to explain he hadn't done anything wrong it's just that he is Jehovah witness and he can't celebrate birthdays. I would see him trying to peek in and we weren't even alowed to share our tim bits or cupcakes. He couldn't play with anyone at recess 😢 His parents eventually withdrew him from catholic school I asked my mom about it and she said they are a cult pretending to be Christians. She explained their beliefs it scared me to the core.
As a 22 year old lost soul pimo, they emotionally and mentally stunted my growth, using me to the point I constantly fall to a deeper depression

Love it '4121' and thanks so much for sharing and enjoy your freedom!

When I started pointing out major red flags in their theology and their false translation of the "bible," the shunning started immediately.
I still to this day pray that they get out, but after 40 years, the hope is getting a little dimmer.

Don't get'meh started! lol Good one!

And now look at how all of thd sudden pants didn’t bring dishonour to the message ...
You referring to the new light, pants and beards? omg Don't get'meh started lol
This was a good education. Thank you.

Also as millions living in those days, I would never die.

I know right smh and thanks for the sub! 👊🏻 🛩
Dang...you got suckered in huh crazy
Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour.
@@Gary-Coxe I actually joined of my own Accord because I was pioneering for three years as an unbaptized publisher because I read the Bible and it really looked like they were following it. You may not be aware, but Jehovah/Yahweh is actually the devil.
Well done '64' wish I would have joined back then live and learn right!

Weekends are worse I'm on my own
That's tough, don't know how you do it. I left the cult and 18 years of marriage. She was a JW robot for sure. Not sure me. Wish you the best!
Mine was that they called Jesus archangel Michael.

It's a long list of their new light😏I was at pioniers training in 2016 and found a whole list on jw site about changing doctrines and their believes. My point was that holy spirit is never wrong bc it's from our Creator. So if gb is guided by holy spirit/ so they claim/ why then they change their doctrines all the time calling a new light?🫣
Well, after putting my letter and announcement, nobody loved me anymore, including one of our daughters🤤like light switch 😅

But I had my wife and she had me, until she passed away in 2020, but I thought well I was born Alone, and I watched my wife die ALONE, so WE all do those 2 things ALONE. I have 2 Friends from my JW days, and really they are great people then and still, but I think they are willing to push the envelope some.
wow Bradley, very brave and very sorry for your loss.
So great to hear from you yes, I'll put some more videos out and perhaps you've already found the truth now :-) hope to see you again
Thank God you are seeing what is incoherent!!!!!
Took long enough omg. You've studied them?

I wanted to share something that’s been on my heart.

They may as well call themselves Pervert land, not Watchtower.
i know right!
Who is the one Jesus, the apostles and the prophets called, The Living and True God, if Jesus is his son? And who he is according to this civilization?
Matthew 16:16 Simon Peter answered [To Jesus]: “You are the Christ, the SON.. of THE LIVING GOD.”
Jeremiah 10:10 But Jehovah is the True God, HE IS - THE LIVING GOD - and the eternal King.- THE LIVING GOD - and the eternal King.

Yaa for Simon! Thanks for sharing and hope to see you again
I think the fear of starting from scratch is what has kept so many of us in for too long
For sure. I never thought it through enough and man was it tough omg. You've been out how long Steve?
@Gary-Coxe I'm trying to manage my exit right now. Sort of a planned drift to slip off their radar
'"Why am I sitting here, listening to someone telling me how to live my life when he doesn't even have a handle on his own life
Michael is hiding behind the letter "M" . One day, when he is happy with who he is, he will be strong enough to put up a profile photo.

It’s the blood doner thing that I find very hard to accept

Excellent points! Your points on that BIRTHDAY must be SHOWN at every school! JW kids actually can eat cupcakes at school😅
lol Little cupcake sinners they are lol
Maybe they'll make it a conscience matter to eat the cupcake 😄

JW = JESUS WITNESSES
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.
WOW! Just last week. You're so brave. Well done and stay strong! Here if you need me.
Glad you stopped going as well and hope to see more of you. Enjoy the other videos.
