2:30, there have been a lot of changes since you left. They changed the pioneering numbers to increase their pioneer numbers. 1. Regular pioneer is now 50 hours 2. Auxiliary pioneer is now 15 hours. These changes show Watchtower wants increase their pioneer numbers because the decreasing numbers are depressing to the GB.

I grew up JW it was very traumatic for me, I was constantly told that I was going to die in Armageddon, even the circuit overseer told me that I was mentally challenged, my parents are still JW, I try talking to my parents about it being a cult they don't want to hear it. I never got baptized JW I never felt it was right.

Honestly, I believe the change to beards, clothing, shunning etc. did the opposite of what the Governing Body probably hoped, it pushed me further away for the very reason that these teachings are not biblical and I felt they never were. The fact that they changed them showed the amount of mind control is on the group. Why should any Christian need the approval of another human being to shave/ not shave their face, what clothes to wear, who to talk to or not...? The fact that as 'mature' Christians no one else thought to push back or raise the flag on these unloving traditions shows me I don't need anyone else to do my thinking for me or my family. I will follow the teachings of Jesus whether I am in an organization or not. That's what a truly mature Christian should do. These GB men were corrupted or infiltrated at some time in the past decades is my personal belief. Because they have turned themselves into the thing Jesus condemned and that is the self-righteous clergy class aka Pharisees. Congrats on your exit. Amoriya, I truly understand how pain, hurt, and disappointment can feel, especially when it comes from places or people we trust. Ecclesiastes 9:18 tells us, “One sinner can destroy much good,” and it can feel discouraging when mistakes happen. But, just like the faithful Israelites, we can remain strong, knowing Jehovah sees our faith and loyalty. He will make things right in his time. So please don’t give up your relationship with Jehovah. Instead, keep trusting that, like those faithful Israelites, we can overcome any stumbling block by focusing on Jehovah’s purpose and promises. He has a future of peace and justice waiting for all who remain close to Him.

I was in the same mindset as recently as 3 months ago. I'm 40 yrs old and was born a 3rd gen JW with a very large extended family of Bethelites, elders, MS's, pioneers, etc... etc... Then I accidentally stumbled on the Australian Royal Commission. I had never even heard of it before I stumbled on it. My mind was violently slapped open watching that case, so if you're not mentally ready to learn the truth about what the org. is doing and saying, I wouldn't suggest you watch it. However, I will share what I was so shocked by: 1. I never understood or gave a lot of thought to CSA cases in the organization. This girl was SA'd by her own father for years and the elders couldn't take judicial action because there weren't 2 witnesses. Her father was an MS at the time. But they also didn't report it to the authorities so that it could be investigated. In fact there were 1,006 JW abusers & over 1,800 victims just in Australia, that the Royal Commission found after getting the records from JW HQ in New York, by subpoena. 2. If you were to watch the court case, I can guarantee you that you would know the answer to at least most of the questions that both the attorney and the Judge asked. I was answering them as they were being asked and the deception and outright lies that these elders, Branch Committee Overseers, & Legal Dept elders were telling after being sworn in on the stand, blew. my. mind. The Royal Commission even revealed the very notes that these elders took while they had questioned this young sister about her abuse. 3. The JW elder attorneys blatantly lie to the Royal Commission when they said that Geoffrey Jackson of the GB would be of no help with the policies/procedures the elders follow when it comes to CSA, because he only dealt with matters pertaining to translation and had nothing to do with creating policies for the elders to follow. After the Royal Commission did a little digging, they of course found out that this was absolutely not true as the GB formulates and enforces all of the org's policies and procedures from publishers to Branch Offices. 4. This was the biggest and most impactful one for me. Brother Geoffrey Jackson of the GB takes the stand. I could not believe the lies he told. It absolutely crushed my soul and made me question my whole life and identity. I can't put everything here obviously, but some of lies from him were that he again said that he only dealt in matters of translation as a member of the GB. The attorney had to ask him several questions to get him to acknowledge that this was not true. Then the attorney asks brother Jackson along the lines of "As the Governing Body, do you believe that you are God's spokes people on earth?" To which brother Jackson replied, " I think it would be quite presumptuous to think that we are the only people that God is using..." What?! I was forced to ask myself some very hard questions. Would Jehovah be backing and directing an org where the leaders, including the GB, outright lie on the stand? When I was 6 years old, I was expected to and did, make a stand for my faith by explaining that I don't celebrate birthdays or holidays, and these grown men, leaders of the organization could not make a firm stand for their faith and what they believe, by answering questions honestly. I also asked myself, would Jehovah be directing and supporting an org that needs Satan's agencies of authority through the court system, to educate Jehovah's ppl on how to protect children? How could Holy Spirit appoint men that are child abusers? That case violently slapped me in the face and I am still crushed that the organization that we thought was led and supported by Jehovah, is all fake. (Matthew 7:22,23) But I also learned that having faith in Jehovah can be separate from following yet another false religion masquerading as Jehovah's chosen people. Watch that case and tell me that the Jehovah you and & I were taught about all of our lives, directs this organization. That case led me down a rabbit hole of verifiable evidence that I couldn't deny. And you might say, well that case was back in 2015, things could be different now. You're right. The latest letter to elders directs them to fill out a form if there is an accusation of CSA, send it to the Branch, and destroy all notes that the elders have of the case and do not keep a record of it in the local elder body. That's like this girl says, the bad association must be removed. 1 Corinthians 15:33. Psalms 26:4 Jesus even said let the wheat and weeds grow together but at harvest collect the weeds and burn them. Mathew 13:30. Everyone in the world knows one bad apple could ruin the bunch. The JWs never once have said we are perfect. Honestly, I believe the change to beards, clothing, shunning etc. did the opposite of what the Governing Body probably hoped, it pushed me further away for the very reason that these teachings are not biblical and I felt they never were. The fact that they changed them showed the amount of mind control is on the group. Why should any Christian need the approval of another human being to shave/ not shave their face, what clothes to wear, who to talk to or not...? The fact that as 'mature' Christians no one else thought to push back or raise the flag on these unloving traditions shows me I don't need anyone else to do my thinking for me or my family. I will follow the teachings of Jesus whether I am in an organization or not. That's what a truly mature Christian should do. These GB men were corrupted or infiltrated at some time in the past decades is my personal belief. Because they have turned themselves into the thing Jesus condemned and that is the self-righteous clergy class aka Pharisees.

Jehovah is the most powerful God that can change peoples lives and hearts. He is always there in the most deepest moments that humans power can not control. I was in the same mindset as recently as 3 months ago. I'm 40 yrs old and was born a 3rd gen JW with a very large extended family of Bethelites, elders, MS's, pioneers, etc... etc... Then I accidentally stumbled on the Australian Royal Commission. I had never even heard of it before I stumbled on it.
My mind was violently slapped open watching that case, so if you're not mentally ready to learn the truth about what the org. is doing and saying, I wouldn't suggest you watch it. However, I will share what I was so shocked by:
1. I never understood or gave a lot of thought to CSA cases in the organization. This girl was SA'd by her own father for years and the elders couldn't take judicial action because there weren't 2 witnesses. Her father was an MS at the time. But they also didn't report it to the authorities so that it could be investigated. In fact there were 1,006 JW abusers & over 1,800 victims just in Australia, that the Royal Commission found after getting the records from JW HQ in New York, by subpoena.
2. If you were to watch the court case, I can guarantee you that you would know the answer to at least most of the questions that both the attorney and the Judge asked. I was answering them as they were being asked and the deception and outright lies that these elders, Branch Committee Overseers, & Legal Dept elders were telling after being sworn in on the stand, blew. my. mind. The Royal Commission even revealed the very notes that these elders took while they had questioned this young sister about her abuse.
3. The JW elder attorneys blatantly lie to the Royal Commission when they said that Geoffrey Jackson of the GB would be of no help with the policies/procedures the elders follow when it comes to CSA, because he only dealt with matters pertaining to translation and had nothing to do with creating policies for the elders to follow. After the Royal Commission did a little digging, they of course found out that this was absolutely not true as the GB formulates and enforces all of the org's policies and procedures from publishers to Branch Offices.
4. This was the biggest and most impactful one for me. Brother Geoffrey Jackson of the GB takes the stand. I could not believe the lies he told. It absolutely crushed my soul and made me question my whole life and identity. I can't put everything here obviously, but some of lies from him were that he again said that he only dealt in matters of translation as a member of the GB. The attorney had to ask him several questions to get him to acknowledge that this was not true.
Then the attorney asks brother Jackson along the lines of "As the Governing Body, do you believe that you are God's spokes people on earth?" To which brother Jackson replied, " I think it would be quite presumptuous to think that we are the only people that God is using..." What?!
I was forced to ask myself some very hard questions. Would Jehovah be backing and directing an org where the leaders, including the GB, outright lie on the stand? When I was 6 years old, I was expected to and did, make a stand for my faith by explaining that I don't celebrate birthdays or holidays, and these grown men, leaders of the organization could not make a firm stand for their faith and what they believe, by answering questions honestly. I also asked myself, would Jehovah be directing and supporting an org that needs Satan's agencies of authority through the court system, to educate Jehovah's ppl on how to protect children? How could Holy Spirit appoint men that are child abusers?
That case violently slapped me in the face and I am still crushed that the organization that we thought was led and supported by Jehovah, is all fake. (Matthew 7:22,23) But I also learned that having faith in Jehovah can be separate from following yet another false religion masquerading as Jehovah's chosen people. Watch that case and tell me that the Jehovah you and & I were taught about all of our lives, directs this organization. That case led me down a rabbit hole of verifiable evidence that I couldn't deny. And you might say, well that case was back in 2015, things could be different now. You're right. The latest letter to elders directs them to fill out a form if there is an accusation of CSA, send it to the Branch, and destroy all notes that the elders have of the case and do not keep a record of it in the local elder body. I have a copy of the letter I can share with you or you can ask your local elders. I hope you are well brother, and do whatever is best for you. Warm Christian love, -me.

All I can say is that we live in an imperfect world. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes. Even among the Jehovah's Witnesses. That's like this girl says, the bad association must be removed. 1 Corinthians 15:33. Psalms 26:4 Jesus even said let the wheat and weeds grow together but at harvest collect the weeds and burn them.
Mathew 13:30. Everyone in the world knows one bad apple could ruin the bunch. The JWs never once have said we are perfect. I personally can see how the organization has flourished, how everything is in harmony with the Bible, how they are reaching to the very corners of the world and with only the help of each other. Donations and volunteer work. How many religions do you know that have translated their Bible in 500 different languages???
