Decades are gone, this prayer (yes, it is) was offered, as usual the cruel one in the blue skies ignored. One can feel the pain & hopelessness. Faiz knew it long time ago, what I am realizing today; people like me can just wish & dream. Of course, dreams are seldom materialized, ours were not. We lived & died in our cold & sad prison. Pl. enjoy this prayer from the BEST of our times.

Excellent voice and rendition. It's a Faiz classic and I feel singer should have acknowledged Mahendra Singh Bedi 'Sahar' for including his Sher in main Gazal.
