  • Making a super slim leather wallet. Today we’ll be crafting this minimalist bifold wallet in blue French goatskin leather. The wallet is designed with two front card slots for your mostly used cards and two hidden slots on the back for those not so frequent cards. these large slots can easily accommodate bills folded in half and because it’s so slim, it won’t make a huge bulk when you’re carrying it out.
The wallet is fully lined with the same chèvre goatskin leather but in a striking orange color. It is also hand painted and hand stitched using Vernis heatable edge paint and Fil au Chinois linen thread.
Overall, this is an excellent wallet option if you’re looking to slim down you edc cards and cash, and since the wallet is handmade, it will last for decades. In this video, I’ll show you how you can make this wallet by showing you the tools and methods I used to craft it. One thing to consider, compared to the other small leather goods we’ve made in the channel is that this particular piece takes more time to craft since it has a more refined appearance, especially in the stitching and edge painting.
I’ve got all the materials to craft this wallet from Rocky Mountain Leather Supply: www.rmleathersupply.com/
Please note: this is not a sponsored video by Rocky Mountain, I just share with you the supplier I got my tools and supplies from for this and other leather projects we’ve covered in the channel.
Friends as always, thank you so much for watching! I hope you’ve enjoyed watching this video. If you did please this video a thumbs up and if you haven’t subcribed yet I invite you to subscribe to the channel. I post videos on leather crafting projects, reviews, and more.
    Have a greta day, everyone!

Man you gotta get you some modern French irons.. I use the Kevin lee's you'll be able to go all the way through that thin leather without without having to go back with a awl..

Hi John! Many thanks for your suggestion, I was planning on going for a pair of Amy Roke until I saw the Kevin Lee ones. I rarely use pricking irons, rather tend to use more the chisels but indeed there are some projects that look way better with a finer detail that only a pricking iron can give you. I’ll definitely check them out and hopefully make a video using them soon! Thanks again and Best Regards!
