    This chestnut skirting color may very well be a new option added to our site! What are your feelings about it?

    • @jackspradt1562

      I love it. Going to replicate the wallet in a larger size, thanks for posting!!!!!!!!! Love your work!!!!!!!!
      BTW how'd you get the wallet to take to closing that cleanly, did you wet it? and -- what oz. leather is that? 5 - 6 oz?

    • @Olli4
      @Olli4 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jackspradt1562 also curious as to the thickness of the used skirting. I have been looking for a good guide on what weight / type of leather to use for this type of projects (wallets), but struggling to find something comprehensive :)

      @@jackspradt1562 I use 3/4oz for this wallet which is why you don't need to wet it to close. It'll just close up on it's own with no problems

    Made in America means something to me and this man is a craftsman and family man out on his own standing proud. After watching the video I made up my mind I was going to support this man and his work. I was prepared to pay more than the cost of the wallet and free shipping was a plus. A very good buy. Also happy to see it is on back order which means it is a great seller. I have no problem with other country producing goods- I have a problem with Companies whose greed takes products overseas and insults my intelligence by charging me far more than if they made it in the USA. We all know the Companies and I would not mention any of them because this must be handled on an individual basis. I can't wait to show my wallet to my friends and say, "I know the guy who made this for me " .Ever try to buy a leather belt with out a foreign country stamped on it? Very hard to do my friend. I bought myself a father's day present, May buy one for my 5 sons.

    I used to make wooden rings. While I liked it, I found that all the dust and mess made it less pleasing to do. I've been looking for something else to do and your videos have convinced me that this is my next venture. I already watched your video on the beginners tools. Oddly enough, I already have some of the tools. Also, there is a leather store right near me that has bins of scrap leather I can use to mess around with. I think I'm going to start with bracelets and rings and eventually, make myself a wallet. Thanks, and I guess I'll start watching more of your vids.

    I noticed that you too had the Craftplus burnisher and was wondering if you use a finer grit sanding drum than they provided. I just called Springfield Leather and they only had the 80 and 120. With that in mind I'm reaching out for anyone that may have a resource on a finer grit for that 2 inch sanding drum. By the way I love your video's. I haven't watched lately but was happy to see you and Little King Goods collaborating. I hope that becomes a good thing for all. I watched both of you as it given me the motivation and inspiration to continue plugging away. I bought the Glowforge pro and am currently working on two types of wallets a single and bifold style with one and or two card slots. Hoping to find those minimalist consumers. Okay that just sounds weird when you write it out. Thanks for any feedback.
