How To Make A Leather Card Wallet - With Seven Pockets! - Leather Craft

- In this leather craft video I make a slim seven pocket leather card wallet. Made from natural vegetable tanned leather that has been dyed and hand stitched. The center pocket of the wallet is designed to hold cash or larger items while the remaining six pockets providing lots of card storage. The outermost pocket on each side of the wallet features a thumb slot that makes it easy to extract your most used cards. Pattern dimensions are provided in the video for this project for anyone who would like to make one for themselves. I hope you enjoy this leather craft video.

Beautiful work!! Very nice minimalist wallet. I made one similar with 5 pockets but I wet formed the pockets to accept two cards each. The bill pouch will hold $200 easily in tri-folded $20 bills. The pockets will hold a total of eight cards. First minimalist wallet I've ever used. Will never go back to a full size one.

There are a number of "handmade" leather crafters out there now including me although, I am a long-time hobbyist. I love that you haven't taken shortcuts. Hand cut, hand dyed, hand stitched and edge finishing. Beautiful work. I would recommend anyone buy from you.

I’m going to concentrate on wallets mostly minimalist type, knife sheaths, saps and possibly pocket pistol holsters. Maybe I can rise to level of purses and larger projects.

For anyone interested,
If you have those little black foam brushes, don't throw them out when used. Instead, remove the foam, and you will be left with a little glue/tokonole spreader.

OLD Leather Smith here, very nice. I made one 4 myself quite a while ago.
Like you I do most by hand, I use a different stitch, 1 needle A much
nicer look, I used clear pocket on each side and a pocket in the middle length wise with ribbon 2 make it easier 2 extract the contents.
I like your design. Mine just makes it easier 2 use in the center.
I also use a different edge slicker a special water which I have always used works great. Sorry 4 so loooong.

Thanks. A skiving machine is no replacement for hand skiving. It’s great for larger projects like bags.

Excellent work as always. I would suggest maybe doing the Tokonole in the beginning to one big piece of leather. Otherwise when you do it later, you have a bigger mess and you have to struggle to get it to the edges.
