Beatiful. Great Instructions. Very Informative. The person taking the video did a great job. I did not realize till the camera faltered a little. Well Done. Thank You for taking the time to make this video.
Thank you both for making the pattern available. I just started into leather craft and was just looking for a simple design. I've made 3 of them so far and really love them.
Love that you’re selling the designs and supporting the community, I love your videos and that little quip about “and here’s your face” was just so adorable, honest, and genuine. It’s nice to see the chemistry between you guys :)
What weight leather do you like to use for this? It kind of looks like 3-4oz or maybe 4-5oz. I just bought the patterns and plan to make a few to increase my skills! I've been binging your videos and love the style of the work and videos.
Can you recommend a good sett of starter tools for someone interested in starting this as a hobby? There’s too many options and I don’t want to go cheap nor super expensive. Thanks
how would you go about making this without glue? would you have to punch the holes on each side seperately beforehand? How would this work on a more complicated shape where there's a (I assume) high likelihood that the stitch holes won't allign at the end?
@@birdnerd4302 yes I’ll put a needle at each end and the middle and it seems to be. I’ve gotten a bit better and may try glue again. I’ve been straight up not using it just doing little projects.
So I'm just getting into leatherworking. I got my first 2 sides and I got them naturally finished. Mostly because colored leather is much more expensive. I plan to mess around with stains. I got fiebings pro but it's a little inconsistent. I see lines even after 3 passes. For future reference do most people just buy pre stained leather to avoid these headaches? The worst part is the info on staining is so inconsistent all over the interwebs.
hey guys. thanks again for the videos. i look forward to the end of the week to see what you guys are putting out next. quick question... 5 months ago, you guys dropped hint about your line of stitching chisels being developed w BG. now we've all seen you using what i assume his a prototype of the chisels. when can we expect them to purchase??? update would be most appreciated. thanks.
Hi, guys. Maybe this was mentioned in the video, but I missed it. Anyway, what is the leather thickness? Because I suspect that bottom corners cut-outs in the pattern should be slightly adjusted if a thinner or thicker leader is used.
The Brass knife is one that Corter are developing and manufacturing themselves. It’s currently in a test phase and should be available later in the year along with the stitching chisels used in the movie.
If you have slanted punches you will need to have a reversed set to punch this stitch line the way shown in this video in order for stitches to correctly stitch properly. Cheers…
Thanks for a nice straightforward tutorial. I have two Q's about the leather: What weight leather did you use? What exactly is the blue leather, as it wasn't at the materials link you posted? Thanks again!
It’s Dollaro blue I think and likely to be 4-5oz (1.5-2mm). I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it on the Belts Production leather supplier website for Europe and also on Rocky Mountain leather if you’re in the USA
Excuse me 😊🙏 .. do you not be exit the thread or damage the sewing when you sew either by machine or manually and finish it only by cutting the thread .. !? and Does that liquid dry immediately after it is placed on the edges of the skin ?! and Where can I find this product ? I am really interested in your reply to the two questions
I just started using thin plastic cutting boards from Walmart, they come in a 4 pack for like $4 I tape the paper template onto it and cut it out either with a razor blade knife or scissors, so far it works pretty well, also they come with four different colors so you can use a different color for each wallet template
This is definitely a beginner tutorial made through the eyes of someone who is not a beginner. Having holes marked on this would have been incredibly helpful. I get to the point of stitching and have ruined it since I'm not skilled enough to line up everything properly yet
I've seen people make absolutely beautiful leather items with no leather tools. A box cutter for a knife and a fork to mark stitching holes. I'm sure with practice you will make amazing items!
the thing that I don’t like about the designs of the leather wallets or card holders is that they don’t have the practicality of using them in real life if you have more than 3, 4 cards in your wallet, I see a cute design and when I look into it I am mostly like “yeah it’s just cute but can’t cope with me”
This one holds 6-8, but yep! Card sleeves are generally for people who don't carry a ton of stuff, if you have a dozen cards you'd probably want to use a bifold :)
Blockbuster card...nice touch! LOL!

Simple and straightforward as per. Those irons are like a hot knife!!! Can’t wait. 😁

How is your leather making journey going? I’m about to embark in mine

Love to watch it happen.
Learn so much like this. 💚👽
I really love the color combinations.
Another great video!!
Thanks, very informative.

Thank you so much for these videos me just starting out this week in leathercraft they have been a godsend
What type of material do you recommend punching stitching hold on?
I liked your design👍🏻👍🏻
All the world likes. 🎉.
I watched the video and get that the holes line up at the end with the pins but how do you cut them initially where they do line up in the end?
Can you recommend a good sett of starter tools for someone interested in starting this as a hobby? There’s too many options and I don’t want to go cheap nor super expensive. Thanks
I love the simplistic design. Perfect for using up some scrap leather laying around.
Yeah, so simple the pattern should've been free.
What weight leather/thickness and spacing chisel did you use here? Thanks
You should post videos more often ❤️
❤
Hi I love your video I bought a “starter kit” I got some leather but it’s sooo thin. What is the thickness to do a wallet like your video?.
Can you go over the different kinds of leather chisel punches you use? I got so many different types and thicknesses 3mm,4mm,6mm
how would you go about making this without glue? would you have to punch the holes on each side seperately beforehand? How would this work on a more complicated shape where there's a (I assume) high likelihood that the stitch holes won't allign at the end?
Very informative, you said that they were a 5 mm. What brand tool did u use
I think I have bought almost all their patterns! Love the vids!!
What is the correct thread size for this please?
ty for the gr8 idea... will build template and replicate... tyfs
Was that a Blockbuster Video card ?!? :)
when stamping the l
makers mark, that can be done dry? does that apply to veg tan as well?
That’s pretty impressive. Was that a Blockbuster card you pulled out of the card holder?
great vids you guys! . also.. did you just pull a blockbuster card out of that wallet?🧐12:38
exelente trabajo
How do you get your needles to comfortably glide through the glued part? I’m having such a hard time pushing them through (saddle stitching).
Are they completely lined up?

When was this video originally made ? Noticed the Blockbuster cards at the 12:32 mark .😅
I immediately looked to see when this was uploaded as soon as I saw the card. It was like seeing a dinosaur jump out in a movie.
What was this "crape" I believe you said for removing glue? You said you'd hit it with ... than you'd be good to go at 6:31
Is it buttero leather ?

Are those needles too big? I would like to use smaller ones.
Hi, guys. Maybe this was mentioned in the video, but I missed it.
Anyway, what is the leather thickness?
Because I suspect that bottom corners cut-outs in the pattern should be slightly adjusted if a thinner or thicker leader is used.
I'm always curious about the thread size and typoe he uses
Wait, but if you are using diamond chisels, you can't punch both sides individually because then the holes would point in different directions? 😅
Amazing video as usual! May I ask where you got that X-Acto knife? :)
The Brass knife is one that Corter are developing and manufacturing themselves. It’s currently in a test phase and should be available later in the year along with the stitching chisels used in the movie.
@@MultiFish thanks for the info! I’ll be at the front of the digital line whenever those are released!
Qual o preço das carteiras?
Did buckleguy send you that "sponsored by" piece or did you emboss that yourself?
The tools list shows two different prickers (pricking iron, pricking chisel) but I only see one used type used in the video.
blockbuster card !😂

Easy vs Super Easy. If it were Super Easy it would make itself. Keep it "Easy."

Ok disregard my last question about the tools. What is a good long lasting template material? I’d like to graduate from a cereal box

I got some tools from a friend and leather scraps 😟, maybe a miracle can happen and I could do something similar with 1/8 of your tools
