Is this the moment and movie that finally bridges the gap between Indian cinema and Western audiences? As Drinker noted, Hollywood simply isn’t putting out good movies anymore, and worse still creates productions in bad faith steeped in agenda that makes good storytelling impossible. Ever since I saw the horse-slide I’ve been waiting for a crossover hit to emerge.

@@Satya.Online Right... But for comparison, the standard Battleaxe, and I'm talking about weapons for warfare, hardly exeeded 7lb. weight (3kg really, for normal people).
A greatsword, not really common due to it's hard-to manage nature, cost and uneffectiveness, wouldn't get to the 10lb range (maybe a german Zweihänder), and even then, they would be well balanced for wielding.
A standard polearm wouldn't get that heavy, though the weight distribution would make it pretty taxing. Only after repeated use, of course.
To begin with, you would need to weigh like a truck to swing around a 130lb bike, otherwise you would just fly off balance and fall over, no matter how heavy you are. And it's not well balanced in the slightest. Heck, it would be about as hard as to swing around a fully grown man in much the same manner...
The heaviest weapon effectively wielded by the strongest human in history probably wouldn't weigh a tenth of that thing. I would like to see someone swing around a normal bike like it was a maul
Maybe you could spin with it, and it's certainly plausible one would be able to throw it a bit, but you know...
Hollywood blockbusters and action movies seldom make any realistic combat, and they *try* to hide it and pretend, movies like these throw such things out of the window. Rule-of-cool all the way, and it's a great, awesome thing to turn off your brain for and enjoy, but let's not pretend it's grounded in reality. (yes, I know you didn't claim otherwise, but my point still stands)

But, why place large quantity of TNT on an obvious Administrative building with glass windows and fancy facade. Ammo Storage facilities even at the 18th century much less in the 20th are big bunker type and far away from personnel buildings.
Anyway. TNT don’t go Boom by throwing something burning, they’ll just burn. You need a Detonator attached to an Explosive Booster that is attached to the TNT for it to explode.

RRR is so unbelievable that ryan has to put snippets of that scene happening to reconfirm that they did happen. This is the first time i seen a pitch meeting doing it. Also, RRR is first a working title with the names of the three leads, Ram charan, Rama Rao and Rajamouli(Director). The name became so popular that they did not want to change that and just made a title around it

    • @omnicurious2949
      @omnicurious2949 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

Actually the lead name expansion became a 'backronym' . Originally it was called 'Ranam, Raudram, Rudiram' (War, Valor, Gore)....Telugu words (Sanskrit roots). Even though it rolls off the tongues of Telugu speaking people, they felt it would be hard for the North Indians (who have speak Hindi a hotch-potch of Arabi-Persian-Sanskrit derived words). So, while looking for an alternative name they 'joked' that it stood for the names of the actors/director. Eventually they chose 'Rise, Roar, Revolt)...to attract non-Indian audiences too.

      the more u know:
      not in india but
      in Bangladesh,
      "British" is a slang/slur.
      example:
"that guy is such a 'British' "
      "what a fking 'British' "
for centuries "british" has been used here as a slang worse than "bast^rd" .
the east india company even caused a famine in the 1770 which was blamed on weather, despite the farmers having super fertile land, self sufficient in agricultural resources, the colonialists forced the farmer to not grow rice/food/edible crops but to grow some sort of weed thing that makes "liquid bleach" or something for washing clothes cuz priducing that was more profitable, which just cost the d^ath of 1/3 of people in Bengal. there were no shortage if fertile land, no shortage of seeds, no shortage of farmers and fuktons of rivers everywhere and yet people were starving and faced a famine. thats comically evil
dont worry tho, Bangladeshi ppl are the least xenophobic (unlike certain other nation that makes anime😉)and incredibly friendly and helpful towards foreigners cuz they are kinda wholesome and probably d^mb af.

Initially RRR stands for the names of two lead actors and the director. They are best friends in real life.
    R - Rajamouli SS
R - RamaRao Nandamuri Jr (Jr NTR)
    R - Ramcharan
Since it was good, they just kept the title and changed the acronym to Rise Roar Revolt and all the languages it released with the words with same meaning and starting with sound of R.

This movie worked because even though it was over the top, fictional movie and story, the struggle of Independence was real. The history is real and that's why it all makes sense, even though it shouldn't. This plays out well with our emotions, especially the last scene, when the blood was spilled over the crown logo, that scene brought a lot of emotions
