This video was fun to watch, I like this one! I would say the fandom being everywhere is a lie, at least for irl, internet sure, but not the real world. Which I’m glade that’s not the case, since that could open a can of worms, which we wouldn’t be able to avoid.
I'm one of the people who started all of this in 1988. Three fursuits total at that first convention, all handmade by the person wearing them. 89 people total in attendance. For the first three years there was only one convention. Damn 35 years ago. I'm old.
I don't know what you meant about the queer bit...there have been ACTUAL SCIENTIFIC METHOD STUDIES that have shown the queerness rate is at least 90% in many places, but can be as low as 70 in regions where there just aren't as many queer people. And even then "there is a whole spectrum" (basically the thing you said) would still by definition mean there is a majority of queerness. There's only one type of cis and there's only one type of straight. "Bicurious" is not straight, Bisexual isn't straight, GNC can be cis but usually isn't, just to name a few. Like the whole point of the definition of the queer umbrella is that we are everything that is not strictly a cisgendered heterosexual, that's just what it literally means. Genuinely: I'm not upset, just a little disappointed. I feel like you should have known this one.
0:28 for example: my fursona is a 2.20 meter tall flaming wolf with wings. HOW CAN I MAKE THAT?! And my other problem is fursuits have too big heads and they are so goofy sometimes

It was up until about 10 or 15+ years ago. That's about the time I noticed a large influx of some somewhat unsavory people coming in. Mostly politically charged people. And they seemed to really want to divide up the fandom. It's changed quite a bit since then. There does seem to be more of an atmosphere of toxicity, but that's much more of a society thing and not a furry thing. It's just unfortunate that's it's trickled down into the fandom. So while there are quite a few more buttheads nowadays than there were before, it's still a great fandom to be in. My apologies if you had a bad time because of a couple of people's attitudes.
@@Zexidous Most people’s attitudes, however they didn’t spoil it for me, I just changed my dealings with the fandom. It is my personal belief that, for their safety, the furry fandom should not be introduced to people till they are at least 18. And they should be at least 21 before attending conventions.
Only a small part of people in the fandom see, or rather use, the fandom as a fetish. The reason I say "people in the fandom" and not "furries" is because, ironically, a lot of people who come by to do a very specific thing in a fandom often don't want to consider themselves as part of that fandom.
@@Zexidous I know this. I'm just annoyed that this guy is making a video to educate people about furries, and he says this shit. He's making furries look bad.

True 2. partially true, having a fursuit helps more in becoming popular. especially on social media. 3. true 4. this one is 50 50. so true and not true 5. this one is ALSO 50 50 6. this one is MAJORY true, yes its split but its sadly 60% out of 40% 7. again 50 50, rich or poor, its a mix 8. 50 50, either good job or MCdonalds 9. more then less sadly 10. i will have to agree with this one, i think its more of a phase, as seeing someone 40+ doing it is odd (but thats just me) 11. more then less
I know a couple of furs in there 40+ heck I met someone who is 45 and does this over 20 years the reason you don't see them at cons all the time is that they use there time somewhere else. some do fur suiting at local kids hospitals or on special occasion when ask for special goals. They are there only not at the places where would to expect them.
To those who have not yet found salvation, I am praying for you. 1 John 1:9 Job 33:14 1 Corinthians 3:6-11 Amen❤ Almost forgot anti-furries exist, but here’s some scripture for that as well. 1 John 4:20 Joshua 1:9 Stay safe!
The best way to describe popular fursuits is that they are like a popular cartoon character. Bugs Bunny is uber popular, but how many people can name the artist, or voice actor? People only care about the character. #6, You are 100% wrong about this. My 27 conventions has taught me that, even you are gay, right? I think that 95% are other than straight. how is this comment 9 hours ago when this video was made 25 minutes ago, wtf?
People in my TG group sometimes get to see videos early
Appreciate it!
@@discountimportant301 Im thinking the same thing
My mom found out I was a furry, and she said I was NOT a furry. She said furries are just people who dress up as animals and have sex. ;-;
this happened with me too.
That sucks. I convinced my mom to become a furry and it worked 😭
It is my personal belief that, for their safety, the furry fandom should not be introduced to people till they are at least 18. And they should be at least 21 before attending conventions.
rlly nice video!

Erm🤨
3:19 What do you mean "small part of it" ?
So it's partly a fetish?
Only a small part of people in the fandom see, or rather use, the fandom as a fetish.
The reason I say "people in the fandom" and not "furries" is because, ironically, a lot of people who come by to do a very specific thing in a fandom often don't want to consider themselves as part of that fandom.
@@Zexidous I know this. I'm just annoyed that this guy is making a video to educate people about furries, and he says this shit.
He's making furries look bad.
@@BenBungalite
Sadly, shock and awe, and deception are the name of the game. People love it and love promoting it. Even our own people nowadays will use a little bit of truth hidden behind a lot of clickbait if it'll make a slightly better video.
A lot of people don't care for the truth, they just want their negative views propogated and spread about, thus the clickbait.
Fandom is a broad fet🐟
So sigma

It’s a fetish for me but I have friends who are Christians and it’s not at all for them
Do you fetishize all furries or your own characters? just asking because i personally think its kind of weird 😭
(not hate btw)

W video…
Let me give ya my honest answers / thoughts:
1. True
2. partially true, having a fursuit helps more in becoming popular. especially on social media.
3. true
4. this one is 50 50. so true and not true
5. this one is ALSO 50 50
6. this one is MAJORY true, yes its split but its sadly 60% out of 40%
7. again 50 50, rich or poor, its a mix
8. 50 50, either good job or MCdonalds
9. more then less sadly
10. i will have to agree with this one, i think its more of a phase, as seeing someone 40+ doing it is odd (but thats just me)
11. more then less
😊 me be i am furry
18TH COMMENT :3
Nah, I love big conventions
To those who have not yet found salvation, I am praying for you.
1 John 1:9
Job 33:14
1 Corinthians 3:6-11
Amen❤
Almost forgot anti-furries exist, but here’s some scripture for that as well.
1 John 4:20
Joshua 1:9
Stay safe!
I would RP if I could find someone straight to RP with. “I can be a female wolf” Naw dude.
