Other than the merch on the other side and some things at the pool, i truly believe Florida is only placing unspoken rule forcing rumors that are not remotely true about furries. if Florida is enforcing this law at a furry convention then they should have this for every convention, not just one but all of Florida's conventions should be 18+ so as to not single out those who throughout history had to be singled for anything even things that have nothing to do with them. i mean for truth sake might as well bring Halloween back with a 18+ law, if they are forcing such stereotypes.

3:00 That is true, when I first joined I heard "Furries are very welcoming" umm... some are, most want beef about something ridiculous, Furries are just people with a low sense of steam sometimes, we can't all get along even in a fandom, it's just how life goes...

My local convention is 18+ and i dont understand it bc there is no alcohol or nsfw allowed. The bad thing is that is abt 10 min from my home so guess ill have to wait two more years to go🥲. Aaand yes I understand that adults do not necessarily want to be around minors and that. But the point is that i feel so excluded from the fandom for being a minor. I joined when i was 13 and my dream since ever then is attending to a con but the only con that is held in my country is 18+ and we dont have the money to go to another so personally I think tha this con should be for minors and they should take in count that they are the only con in the country and there are so much younf furs out there that want to go to the con so badly. So i think they should make it able for minors and if then make another one for adults. I dont know that makes me rage so much bc is not fair there are so many furries that want to go but cant because this restriction. And many people will say oh tha isnt a problem because there are many others but NOT IN THIS CASE. So i think they are being a little bit selfish.😠😠😡🤬. I love BlueSky, and most of the people I have been interacting with for years are on there. Unfortunately there are some people I like to interact with that are still using Twitter, and that is annoying. I am going to have to post a bit on Twitter again just before NordicFuzzCon, since at last con, several hoofers didn't get word of time and place for the all-hoofer fursuit photo shoot in time, so going to have to use Twitter for that when the con comes along.

I believe the issue is (and I stand firmly with this because there have been many stories and examples in the past) there's secret sexual things that happen in these cons behind closed doors and not everybody checks other people's ages when they're in the suit. They just *assume* that they're over 18 because they're there. I believe there should be a separate con ran by parents/guardians that will keep things safe for anyone *under* 18. Not everything is so black and white in these cases unfortunately. The con looks very fun as an adult's POV but in a "keep it safe" POV there's some "behind closed doors" activities that happen that not everybody is fully aware of.

the logic of "it wouldnt be good as a minor friendly con!" is fucking stupid dude. its only like that BECAUSE its 18+. If it wasnt explicitly 18+ it wouldnt have people walking around in kink gear. Lets face it: 18+ cons are just a way for adults in the fandom to shut out a large population so they can walk around and be gooners with no reprocussions.

Furries are generally welcoming but where I live they are just arses who act as if you don't exist. I tried to join a local comunity of furs, had a decent first meet with few of them, went to a bigger meet and convinced my friends to go with me but nobody really seemed interested. I tried to get into conversations but most of the time I just ended up left out after a few minutes. Tldr making furry friends where I live is almost impossible cuz nobody here is interested in making friends with new guys and when someone ends up reaching out they usually leave for unknown reason. If someone has any advice or explanation on why this is happening I'd like to know cuz I'm lost and windering if this is an isolated case to where I live or if someone else had the same experience.
