@@anburaj7283 Anna also narrated another story to drive home the point that it is insane to have two common languages - one for communicating with the world and one for communicating within India. He said a man had two dogs - a big one and a small one. He wanted to build a door for the dogs to leave and enter the kennel. So he built two doors - a big door for the big dog and a small door for the small dog. A wise man who saw this asked him why he built two doors when both the dogs could enter/exit through the big door. The owner is the central government which wants Indians to learn English (big dog) to communicate with the world and hindi (small dog) to communicate within India.

Nurses have to learn Telugu because they don’t know Hindi or because they interact with hospital patients who are majorly Telugu - their job demands that. Now the Video head line says "Where Do You Want Us To Learn Hindi", any where and every where. I am from Telugu speaking region and I speak Hindi and understand other languages, i lived in Bangalore and manager for quite few years, few years in Chennai and manager with their local language. If someone says to learn for instance Hindi they are not imposing anything on you. Prakash Raj is a movie artist and he acted in many different languages and he learnt those, why? To make money, become famous and speak nonsense. Some one says we are diverse, democratic, secular blah blah blah, though it is diverse we are one country and nothing wrong in Learning Hindi. I am worried if someone says to save the country and everyone saving we are a diverse country and it is our will whether to protect it or leave it to its fate. Nonsense speaks nonsense.

It is not a rat race where some language is #1 and others are behind that. The point is every language should co exist. And nothing should be forcefully enforced. That is the grouse that people in TN are having about Amit Shah's decision. He says you can continue in Tamil or whatever the official language of the state is but Hindi should replace English as the link language (bridge language or a common language to communicate between different states from Northern to Southern parts of India). But in the constitution we have both English and Hindi as the link language. SO not sure what is it that Amit Shah wants.

However, 2nd clause says that English should be used for all official purposes of Government of India for the first 15 years but that provision is in use from the last 72 years now without any amendment !! As it was temporary provision but the present situation in India has been totally changed as everyone wants to do study in schools, colleges and Universities mostly in English. In all the products of India and in each and every sector, English has emerged like a national language and superior to Hindi !! Hence, it is not possible to remove that temporary provision. Moreover, Eight schedule of Constitution of India should include English also as the demand has been raised by many from last few decades !! I believe that Sanskrit is the most intellectual language of Bharat and also the oldest one like Tamil in the whole world !! Sanskrit should replace Hindi as South Indians are mostly in favor of Sanskrit instead of Hindi !! Else, English should remain mandatory in all state/centre board schools and all Indian languages included in Eight schedule should be optional in all states/UTs schools !! No one should be forced to read/speak/write any Indian language !!

At the same time, equal opportunities are also given to learn our own Mother Tongue language, even though Mandarin is spoken by the majority. The far sightedness of Mr Lee Kuan Yew in the 1960s to have this bilingual policy in place is commendable. Learning a third language is by our choice only.
