Yeah, with a game, it’s easier because you can just reuse some animations and stuff, but with a show, there’s no shortcuts… unless you tween, which is what they did… but you know what I mean!
I think he makes a great point when he talks about character expressions. Cuphead is obviously different in many ways because part of its objective as a game is making the players admire a lost form of art, which didn't convey a lot of emotion back in the day. The show needed the modernization aspect because it definitely added to the story they were trying to tell.
we did the first episode and a bit of the second episode with more of a "full" animation style. Not going for rubber hose, but going for more of a LATE 30's style of movement. But we had to go back change it to something more like spongebob-style movement to suit that type of humour. More of a pose-to-pose style of movement that makes the jokes and weird expressions read clearly. I prefer the "full" style, but I understand why they wanted it.
i know this chanel has reached 100 sub's now with most of it's almost low viewer's but when i fount this channel . it was at only 5 k sub's with 1-3 like's in every single short video's ,i think it have some small important info and newse about art and media and i think this channel is really under rated .

I love the 1930s cartoon artstyle for the game, but we'd probably still be waiting on season 2 if they stuck with the handrawn style😅
