Look up Fleischer Studios, a big animation company during the time period that these games were inspired by. Watch some of their old cartoons. Occult references, demons, etc. were all very common. Especially as antagonistic elements/characters, things that would get the main characters into trouble.

Look up Fleischer Studios, a big animation company during the time period that these games were inspired by. Watch some of their old cartoons. Occult references, demons, etc. were all very common. Especially as antagonistic elements/characters, things that would get the main characters into trouble.
