Must have been tough for Barnes, Rush and Whelan to stomach playing in such an appalling Liverpool team compared to the magnificent, thrilling one they'd been part of 5-6 years earlier. It was embarrassing to see the contrast in quality. All this clueless team did was play it long in a dispiriting kick and Rush style with the legendary frontman feeding off scraps and Barnes barely getting a touch.
