One of the best days of my life, I was right where Amo ran to and celebrated his goals and I can still see Ablett running up that far side as we all willed him to reach it and get the cross in. Watching it again now, I'd forgotten how good we were despite our league position, Unsworth especially was such a smooth and reassuring centre back in this game.
Terrible day our we had the main stand they had the other three so it felt like Everton where the home team I got there late and left early a day to forget
THANK YOU SO much for posting this. Brilliant childhood memories. Loved Big Joe Royle, Big Dunc and Amo and Rhino. Matt Jackson too. What a side. Loved this game. 💙💙💙
I was a 15 year old devastated Tottenham fan. Everton never let us get going from the 1st minute. I thought we were playing at Goodison Park instead of Elland Road.
Big Joe was destined to win this Cup with his boyhood team. This was a mentally tough Everton side that was damaged by the Mike Walker era almost beyond repair. Joe came in and steadied a sinking ship and won hearts (not that he needed to) and brought about a damn decent team in his two and half year stay as manager.
No they weren't you are right. I can only assume the media love in due to the London bias and the Klinsmann factor but frankly this was no better a Spurs side than they had a few years later under the likes of George Graham.
Football back pre 96 was absolute trash, non of these teams would beat a team in the National Conference now, it shows the trash where Amo come on and the manager didn't even send him on, Sunday League trash, clueless game and Sunday League officials, football for me didn't count back then
Other than Munich at home in 1985 the most complete performance bye An Everton side against sold called Great Spurs side all the media wanted a Dream Cup Final with the Mancs🤣🖕🤣

I was there too.. Best game I've ever been to.. Unbelievable day 💙💙💙💙
Worst moment of my Spurs supporting life, even now nearly 30 years on! We just didn't show up in the game.
by not showing up you mean the fans as well, right? Since they got outnumbered some 4:1 in Everton's favour
I thought it was great. UTFT!💙👊
Tottenham Hotspur have been forgetting to show up when it really matters for the 30 years since.
I'm saying that as a long suffering fan as well.
@trudeausbackbone1304 Very true. I think this was the game where it started!
Thanks for uploading this. Great performance from Everton. Always nice to hear John Motson (RIP), Trevor Brooking and Des Lynam.

Tottenham were overwhelming favourites but Everton didn't think so. Even without Ferguson, they were a thorn in that Spurs side that day.
thanks for upload

A great day! A great performance and we went on to win the Cup against Man United.
The Bull Daniel Amokachi’s game🎉
Only goal we conceded the entire cup run was this game, and it was never a pen. 😂
The last time an FA Cup semi-final was played at Elland Road?
Yes it was.
Last time Everton won anything the Final.
no really
Tottenham Hotspur were completely outplayed by Everton!
Get the facts straight spurs never took the lead in this game they was losing 2-0 before the penalty and they lost 4-1 .
Bye or Tottenham Hotspur lol
Never understood all the hype about a Spurs Man Utd final. Spurs weren’t a particularly good team.
No they weren't you are right.

I've just found one of the worst footballing takes in TH-cam comment history, and that's no mean feat 😂
