The humility side you speak of to me would be for many of you, the ability to set aside your ego and authority in these situations and listen to the voice of wisdom telling you death is at the door. I have read so many books by former intelligence officers and the one glaring thing that stands out to me in all the terrible stories they had to tell about operations that went wrong, was pride and Ego making otherwise intelligent capable people turning into blind fools. It’s amazing given the stakes, some of the things that go on at that level of governance and control.

the reason God has to punish for sin is the same reason that a judge must judge for breaking the law. why cant a judge just forgive?
