Correction: What you're referring to as a 'Kulbit' is actually a type of Post-Stall *Forward Lomcovak* or simply a *Flip.* A Kulbit is a loop with the centre of rotation _outside_ of the craft and tangent to the craft's momentum vector, what you're doing is causing the craft to tumble with its center of rotation _inside_ the craft and parallel to the momentum vector. This manoeuvre is _NEVER_ performed in real life, due to the fact that the excessive G load on pilots would immediately cause them to black-out/die, and there are currently no known aircraft humans can pilot that are capable of withstanding the stresses involved(this flip nearly ALWAYS results in the wings being ripped off.). The video linked below shows what an _actual_ Kulbit looks like. Notice how the two craft (Su-35S and F-22A) perform an actual loop, rather than just simply flipping forward. th-cam.com/video/Zhl4kZooMRw/w-d-xo.html

American planes that can do this: F22, F18 and F35. "Ooo, that's kinda small." Russian planes that can do this: pretty much the whole tech tree. **Soviet national anthem** Russian bias? There is no such thing!
design philosophy differences: Russian planes were designed for raw maneuverability, making them real hotrods at airshows, but more than that, allowing what we see here. US fighters, on the other hand, were designed around Energy-Maneuverability theory: that is, speed and altitude are a key part of keeping the advantage in a fight. Post Stall maneuvers are essentially non existent in that philosophy, because in order to perform them, you have to be, well, Post Stall. That's way too slow by US taste's, you'll get blown out of the sky once you finish, since you're now a nice stationary target. Raptors and the like can still perform them, thanks to greater than 1:1 Thrust to Weight (that is, they can gain speed in a vertical climb at full power), combined with thrust vectoring, but they're not a key part of the doctrine
Peach Papaya knots/nautical miles, it’s an option. The comment about meters being more precise is retarded though. They’re equally precise. Like this isn’t the 19th century where we’re kinda just guessing measurements
To ppl who cant do it, make sure you wait a small bit before pulling up, dont press the button and pull up at the same time! You have to release all movement buttons, press the psm button (accelerate+decellerate) release it, and pull up. Ac fan if you are reading this, then please pin it, all this time I couldnt do it properly and consistently, I only found this out a few days ago. This gave me a real advantage in combat. All this time I couldnt understand why it wasnt working.
Was playing around with this after learning about it and found if youre in a high g turn you can use it flip a 180 almost instantly and speed off the complete opposite direction. I don’t know if this is commonly knowledge or not but I found it really neat
Really like the vids, keep it up! Side note: you don't have to lift the nose of the plane up at the same time you hold accel/decel, you can hold accelerate and decelerate then lift the nose. Makes it a lot easier to consistently pull off imo :)
Damn, thanks for the tutorial. Finally can try this sick manuever, when i was 8 years old all i do was focus to finishing the game without any manuever and played like a bot.
If you're having trouble post stalling still on PS4 controller (I assume xbox too?) Switch the triggers to Yaw and the shoulders to throttle. For some reason, the gradient trigger actuators make it almost impossible to post-stall reliably
Took me 3 hours to figure this out, only to find out that my controller was broken... any way 60 bucks later and im post stalling like a pro ^^ i even did that post stall challange of yours in the stadium.
Just in case no one else noted it in the comments, you can also do this with the analog controls. You just have to be below the speed (270 kts) and pull both triggers first, then pull back on the stick. This is on Xbone. It’s pretty fun in cockpit mode, too. I’d love to try it on PSVR and make myself vomit, but I think my wife would look at me weird if I brought home a tarp to put in the middle of the living room.

Haven't had any luck with doing post-stalling maneuvers with the F-35C but I surprisingly got it done right the first time with the SU-47. The thing doesn't even look like it can pull a maneuver like that.
I had no idea these were a thing until I saw a AdTube short video making fun of the physics between War Thunder and AC7, and this was after I had completed and beat AC7 multiple times, and to top it off, I started playing the Ace Combat Series since AC4.
I'm practicing this in ace combat 3 with average mobility aircraft. Some enemy could perform some psm moves such as some enemies from ace combat 2. It's unfair that we couldn't perform such.
On Ps4, if I am decelerating with L2, I have to let go of L2 a split second. Then, hold L2+R2 simultaneously, wait a split second, pull back on L3 and continue holding back on L3 until the plane flips.
So if I'm understanding it completely, this works mainly on planes with thrust vectoring? You're basically accelerating the plane at the exact moment you change the angle of the thrusters?
And throwing the air brakes at the same time. The ass of the plane is literally trying to outrun the nose in a different direction so it starts to rotate
SO, I just got the game earlier this year, beat it a few times, even beat it on hard to unlock Ace and it wasn't until I saw someone in a video on the PS5 do this that I bothered to look it up. Now I I have to try it.
@@Slender_Man_186 Rail guns do not have any skill at all. I'm an old fashioned Ace Combat Fan I can take you down with a few shots with my mags other than my missiles. That's a true Ace, not someone that has a laser beam at the front of his nose.
for anyone struggling it should be really speed at 450, below 500, and theres a small delay, maybe half a sec between pressing both r2 and l2 before tilting the nose up
>KPH more precise Honestly the PSM range in Knots is a little easier to remember than KPH because its basically anywhere between 240-260 for all the aircraft. The range in KPH is 'larger' per say but thats not always a good thing. Idk might just be my preference speaking.

Joysticks are more precise, but in action packes Ace Combat, you need to be able to act fast more than you need precision. I personally would advice you to pick a gamepad, it's easier to switch from one turn to another with one finger than with whole hand. I personally use Dualshock 3 from PS3, but XBox pad is also ok.
Love the Videos... For those who like using Knots its 240 knots for post Stall...this is from the wiki: "Post Stall Maneuvers can be initiated by slowing the aircraft down to around 450 km/h (240 knots), releasing all inputs on the left controller stick, followed by holding the throttle and brake buttons at the same time, then finally pulling the aircraft into the desired maneuver."
This is such a good tutorial but I can't do it at all. You press both buttons and pull back all at the same time correct? Then let go of break but continue accelerating?
To everyone still struggling; its because he left out that you must press throttle and brakes systems first and then pitch. Also big tip is that you MUST be under 450 NOT less than 500. I bought smashed everything in sight struggling with this shhhhh.
“Oh yea imma get Ace combat, it seems realistic” “Oh ok this is just a mod” -watches more videos- “My disappointment is unmeasurable and my day is ruined”
Here's a really strange thing... I've done a post-stall manoeuvre more than once with the Gripen-E but it was by accident and I haven't been able to get it to work deliberately. I think that there's more to post-stall manouevres than we know because I still can't figure out how I did it. I do know that it happened during the attack on Farbanti and it was over the A2G area in the North near the re-supply line. I was like "WTF is happening here?" and it makes sense that it should be able to do it because it is easily one of the most agile fighters in the real world. The same is true about the other two Eurocanards, the Rafale and the EF-2000. The Eurocanards are REALLY getting the shaft in this game. Another question that must be asked is... with the second-highest level of wing-loading and the absolute worst thrust:weight ratio of any modern fighter aircraft, how the hell can the F-35 perform post-stall manouevres? Physics dictates that it can't but the Eurocanards all can, so go figure. It's probably because Japan operates the F-35 but not the Gripen. Namco has always shown extra respect to planes that are flown by the JASDF so I guess that this is nothing new and shouldn't be so unexpected. It is kinda stupid and annoying though.
Counterintuitively, what dictates whether or not a plane in AC7 can perform a Post-Stall Maneuver is just a checklist. Some planes can perform half a loop before stalling (F-35, F-18, MiG-29, Su-30M2, Su-33, Su-34, ADFX-01). Some planes can perform a full loop without stalling (F-22, Su-37, Su-30SM, Su-35, Su-47, Su-57, X-02S, ADF-01, ADF-11F). If the plane is not on either of those lists, it cannot perform any type of Post-Stall Maneuver in AC7, however manually stalling your aircraft can create somewhat similar looking situations. It's not really based on serious physics, just the developers' broad idea of what a plane might be able to do in the setting of Ace Combat. Hope that could clear up some questions you might've had.

@Katze what is your favorite/signature aircraft?
Thank you man i restarted the story after completing it to grind for the x02s and i wanted to know how to do this in my planes so thank you again
Also do these work with default controls on Xbox?
American planes that can do this: F22, F18 and F35. "Ooo, that's kinda small."
Russian planes that can do this: pretty much the whole tech tree. **Soviet national anthem**
Russian bias?
Yeah and they don't let the Tomcat do it and keeping the Russian jets able to do it shows how salty they are about losing to it. #MigKiller
East Coast Toasty Boy bro why can’t the a-10 do it #damrussians
Yea, what that guy said. Russians based all their designs around the “supermaneuverability” concept while the US is based around energy fighting

Really like the vids, keep it up! Side note: you don't have to lift the nose of the plane up at the same time you hold accel/decel, you can hold accelerate and decelerate then lift the nose. Makes it a lot easier to consistently pull off imo :)
I started playing Ace Combat 7 last night. I feel that your tips videos are going to be really reliable for me.

Took me a while but I'm finally starting to get the hang of some of these. Thanks for the tutorial vid!
I just beat the story and i didn't know this was possible in game. Hawx teaches how to do it as soon as you get planes with canards

Isaac newton : "what are physics?"
Ace combat : "balls"
On Ps4, if I am decelerating with L2, I have to let go of L2 a split second. Then, hold L2+R2 simultaneously, wait a split second, pull back on L3 and continue holding back on L3 until the plane flips.

So... just do a high-G turn from Ace Combat 6 but going less than 500kph?
Took me about 30 minutes to finally nail it down, but I got it! Now... next step... drifting...
@@FirstFamilyCharger It's basically drifting like a rear wheel drive car if you think about it

Joysticks are more precise, but in action packes Ace Combat, you need to be able to act fast more than you need precision. Love the Videos... For those who like using Knots its 240 knots for post Stall...this is from the wiki:
"Post Stall Maneuvers can be initiated by slowing the aircraft down to around 450 km/h (240 knots), releasing all inputs on the left controller stick, followed by holding the throttle and brake buttons at the same time, then finally pulling the aircraft into the desired maneuver."
This is such a good tutorial but I can't do it at all. You press both buttons and pull back all at the same time correct? Then let go of break but continue accelerating?
press and hold both buttons, then a split second later pull up. Once it starts let go of the brake to avoid stalling.

That and not using the actual cockpit HUD. The thing that still bugs me about this channel is they do everything via third person plane.
I don't know, always feels like automated moves like these takes away the fun. I beat the game using normal controls
I beat the game without using it as well
My thoughts exactly. It seems so cheap and lame. It reminds me of dogfight mode in Assault Horizon. Ugh.
Spamming high G turns gives you enough maneuverability without forcing you to be sluggish.
