Rumor has it that after this plane was shot down, the Chinese managed to obtain quite a bit of it and took it to the basement of their Embassy in Belgrade for examination. Less than 6 weeks later, the US "accidentally" bombed the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade. It almost certainly was not an accident. Search for an article in the "Diplomat" magazine that will explain in detail. Even the BBC Has covered this.
This is highly likely a myth, for the simple reason that the wreck location was known by the US almost as soon as the crash happened, and they had plenty of opportunity to bomb the wreck. They chose not to do so, as they felt the stealth technology in the nighthawk was by then well researched, and there was nothing any power could learn from the wreck itself. IMO the bombing of the chinese embassy was absolutely an accident. War is complete and utter chaos, and militaries, even the US one, tend not to be very precise even at the best of times. The real "stealth" innovation behind the nighthawk were the computer models and mathematics that made it possible, and that's not something you can reverse engineer from a plane. You need to read some papers on electromagnetics for this.

Everything about this video: the voice acting, the action and most importantly the animation are stellar.
Also, hilariously, the Russians have ever since tried to sell the missile system as a magical anti-stealth weapon and brushed over the MASSIVE skill, balls, and luck that had to come together in one moment for Zoltan Dani to fire a successful shot.
WE GETTIN OUT OF WWII WITH THIS ONE!!! Seriously though thank you for not posting ANOTHER WWII video. There were more and greater stories that came out of the Cold War, and I think there’s more besides me who’d love to see them brought to life on this channel.
Reportedly, the Serbian air defense commander noticed a consistent pattern in the US air strikes and effectively utilized that information. It certainly doesn’t take away from the significance of his accomplishment. He adapted cleverly to the circumstances and managed to bring down a Nighthawk. Even as an American, I have to respect his expertise.
It wasn't just 'noticing a pattern'. The serbs had spies holed up in a house outside the air base, and reported that none of the F-16s, normally carrying HAARMs, took off that day. (So the video got that wrong) They reported the exact time and direction the nighthawks took off from and reported that to all the SAM batteries. The americans had been bombing targets for weeks, and maintained air superiority the whole time, so they had become complacent. They frequently re-used the same routes to bomb targets. So Danni knew exactly where the americans were coming from, when they'd be there, and that he had 0 risk of being targeted by anti-air defense. Because of this information he knew he could keep his radar on for much longer and activate it more frequently without having to relocate his radar station, and he knew exactly where the nighthawk would be. Even with all that info, his radar system could not pick up the nighthawk. It was only because the nighthawk happened to have its bomb bay doors open at the moment Danni activated his radar for the third time that night, that he was able to detect the nighthawk on radar at all. The doors were open just long enough for the SAM system to acquire the nighthawk's precise location and speed, allowing it to predict the interception point of the missiles. Once those doors closed, the missiles could no longer track the nighthawk, because they could no longer detect it. This is the second lie of the video: The pilot of the nighthawk never even attempted to evade the incoming missiles. The Nighthawk does not have a radar warning receiver, so there were no alarms going off in the cockpit. The nighthawk flew in a straight line because that's what it has to do in order for the bomb's laser designator to work. The missiles simply flew to the point where they had calculated that the nighthawk would probably be from the information the radar had gathered during the seconds when the bomb bay happened to be open. If the nighthawk had turned, even slightly, after closing the bomb bay doors, the missile would have missed because the radar could not continue tracking the nighthawk with the doors closed. it simply wouldn't see anything, and therefore could not track the change in momentum. The pilot's only warning of their impending defeat was the first missile flying by the canopy harmlessly due to its aging proximity fuse failing. Basically, this whole thing was an insane amount of luck combined with extremely favorable circumstances. The video basically just lied about everything to over-dramatize it.
For me, it's sin to watch this video for free. I feel guilty watching this for free I knew there was a joke from Serbian "Sorry we didn't know it was Invisible" and hoping this video can show me the reason behind it But somehow, beyond my expectations, the storytelling, the voice actor, the graphics everything is 5stars. Yet everyone cantik watch this for free We should to pay for this expensive content :')
Master piece as the story. If there is any competition, I will definitely vote for this video. Most brilliant work I have ever seen! I have no words for this video.
A few inaccuracies here. The F-117s radar warning receiver is retracted into the aircraft during missions and is non operational as it couldn’t be made stealthy with the technology of the time. The pilots first warning was him spotting the missiles breaking through the clouds below
@@noblearmories1265 I can see that you are confused, so I will give you few details about what actually happened. For the first three days of the war most of the SAM units operated in radio silence, meaning they didn’t communicate often with the main command post, and they didn’t turn on their radars most of the time. As a matter of fact they have turned on their P-18 search radar for the first time since the beginning of the war approximately one hour before they have shoot down the F-117. So the notion that they had some “James Bond” type of intelligence from the mole inside the NATO headquarters, or that they knew the flying routes of the F-117 is just stupidity of the first class! You also can’t distinguish the radar tracks to be able to recognize the type of the aircraft in question, so based on that you can’t specifically make an ambush for the particular type of the plane (in this case F-117), even if you were able to make some patterns (which was not the case in reality). What is worse, the P-18 radar had some resolution problems and was unable to provide the data for distances that were less than 60 km. They had detected multiple targets at the distance between 70-80 km when they have turned the radar on, and one plane started to approach their position, but they had to turn the radar off in order to sort out the problem with the resolution. The second time they turned the radar on, that one target was at 23 km distance and entering WEZ. They have waited for target to get to 16 km from the launcher and then they turned the firing radar on. First two attempts to lock the target were unsuccessful because of the great angular velocity, and the fact that they have limited illumination time to just 8-10 seconds in order not to get hit by the HARM missile. They were able to lock the target from the third attempt at the distance of 11,9 km. Missile was launched and it hit the target that was flying away from the SAM site at the distance of 14 km and altitude of 8 km. The time it took the missile to hit the target was about 28 seconds, and the whole processes lasted around 84 seconds. The reason why I’m giving you the details about the time in seconds (that was needed for the downing of the F-117), is because of retarded claim that the main reason F-117 was shoot down was because of its weapon bays doors?! The position where the F-117 pilot dropped the bombs was around 40 km away from the place where it was shoot down! In reality F-117 takes less than 5 seconds to open the doors, drop the bomb and close the doors, so it is impossible for the SAM unit to use that short time window to shoot the plane down for two reasons. First reason is obviously not enough time for the whole sequence of detecting, tracking, launching the missile, and hitting the F-117, because if the doors were the main source of detection, after less than 5 seconds the radar would loose the lock, and the missiles would go stupid! And the second reason is the distance, because S-125 Neva doesn’t have the missiles with that kind of range (far less than 40 km), it is that simple!

Not true and couldn't be possible. It was the third day of the campaing. Belgrade had a circled AA batteries overlaping on all sides, the third battery was relocated outside the ring as an ambush.

This is overdramatised. The F-117 will not maneuver like that as it would give further radar reflections back to the targets, it also does not have the T/W to perform like what is shown. There was also not missile dodging scene with them chasing him. As far as the source from the pilot shows, he was not aware any radar was tracking him or firing at him (no wierd SAM warning) as the F-117 has no RWR. He only saw the missile exhaust trails at the last second, the first missile missed his cockpit and the shockwave coming off it's nose buffeted the cockpit, the second hit him.

Fascinating.
You've heard of "don't touch the boats".
Now you've heard "don't touch the stealth". Lol

@@blackhatfreak Agreed, the CCC knew the risks.

Pilots have nicknamed this plane "the Wobbly Goblin " because of how hard it is to maneuver so if a SAM locks onto it or if another enemy pilot got clise enough the F117 is at a serious disadvantage.

There are a lot of great wwl and wwll stories that are yet to be told but I agree it’s about time for a change
Dude that was wicked. The inclusion of the slow mo was completely relatable! Great work

A few inaccuracies here.
The F-117s radar warning receiver is retracted into the aircraft during missions and is non operational as it couldn’t be made stealthy with the technology of the time. The pilots first warning was him spotting the missiles breaking through the clouds below
There are few inaccuracies besides the ones you have mentioned, and that is the fact that basically everything about this video is wrong 😉
@@Semendrija123???
The storytelling, animation, and overall production value of this is superb!
Oh Jesus here come the Serbs saying “Haha we didn’t know it was supposed to be invisible”

@@stormjet814 I just checked, supposedly if a conversation I have found is correct it does have 2 RWR or (Radar Location System panel antenni). And was not used on the aircraft activated long before the time of this incident in service. So though it may have had the ability initially, it would have voided stealth quite seriously if both were deployed and would not have been used in bombing runs where stealth was a key factor.
