My son in law had this exact same chair sitting in his garage and ask me if I wanted it he was fixing to put in trash. I can't believe I found this video of the same chair . Will make it so much easier to redo it. I will probably watch over and over.
Thanks you made it look easy.

I am re doing this very chair, I picked up. I just took it apart. I was struggling with how I was going to do the top part. This was the guidance I needed. Loved what you did!

Ditto! Not 15 min of talking about how you were walking down the street one day and saw a blue flower and that made you think of blue skies which made you think of clouds which made you call your aunt Bee and she mentioned she had some furniture she was putting on the curb and so you wanted to reupholster a chair. This one got right to the point!

Thanks for your video, I purchased 2 beautiful chairs from Goodwill for $25 each. Went to price how much to have them reupholstered. It's close to $700 so decided to try to do it myself. Hope my chairs come out as beautiful as yours. Again, thanks for sharing your video. Blessings.

The chair looks pretty good, but next time you should center the pattern and match it so it is continuous from top to bottom.

Steam the chair back cushion to freshen it. Chose a fabric without such an obvious pattern or buy enough fabric to match the chair back, front, and bottom.

This is a great job. But would it be possible to view a closeup of the top edge of the trim on the chair? If you use the staple gun, don’t the staples show or are clear staples? Since the camera is so far away, you can’t see this detail.

Squish the 2 rubber tubings together over the staple after stapling, you can see them do it in the video

My issue is that my dining chair set from offer up that I am refinishing had a solid board screwed on at some point... so I want to replace the solid board with cane webbing as it’s much more comfortable but at the same time stapling the fabric directly to the frame seems a bit beyond my skill level, however I am going to give it a try. I suppose I could also just saw out the middle of the wooden seat board then web it and upholster it and then put it back... The other thing I really want to get is that look of sort of a domed seat cushion not just a flat square but unsure the best combination of foam to achieve that.

Only thing is the webbing and is it cardboard strips? It does t say what it is and where do you get the cardboard looking stuff amazon too? This is why I prefer verbiage as you go along and do you use a spray to hold foam on fabric and webbing or just hope it stays up and if not can I use it ? It looks simple but I need to hear you to explain would be better
