    I want to redo my dining room chairs and it is so expensive to have it done. So I looked for a tutorial about it and yours is absolutely the best because you highlight every detail. I can follow it so easily. Thank you!

    Excellent tutorial. I have discovered a neat way to collect all those darn staples that are getting pulled out -- a magnetic bowl from Harbor Freight. It is so easy to put in all of the pieces of the staples and not drop them on the floor.

    I enjoyed this tutorial, you don't talk to an excessive degree like some of the DIY videos that take 5 minutes just to get to the point. The instructions were also very clear.

      Thank you! Several times during the filming process I started to ramble a little and repeated the instructions in a more concise way. I try my best to give both detailed and clear instructions. I'm glad it came across that way.

    Very good instructions. Having a pneumatic stapler is definitely easier.

    Thank you! My granfather gifted me his old dining table and 6 cushioned chairs (seats and backs!) and I was worried it would be a difficult process to fix the stained ones. This was well-explained and I feel like I have the information to tackle this project now!

    Thank you! I'm a long-time home dressmaker where I appreciate quality workmanship for clothing, and you have the same standards in your really excellent upholstery tutorial with lots of attention to detail executing techniques that other upholsterers don't undertake.

    Loved your indtructions - I usually get bored or confused on these videos, but yours was concise and easy to follow. I can beat your Marketplace deal - I got 6 gorgeous heavy wood chairs, double-upholstered(seat and back) for free! They were easily $150-$200 each originally. So I am going to try re-upholstering 1 and see how it looks. I called a local company and they want $150/chair, which is too costly.

    Nice chairs! Only thing is, I watched the whole thing because I am having so much trouble finding the holes where the screws go, now that I've recovered them! For the life of me, I can't find the holes! And you just quickly glossed over this part, and apparently your screws went right into the holes with no problem whatsoever! You didn't even poke holes first through the new fabric so the screws could find the hole! How do I find the holes??!!

    • @PaigeHandmade
      @PaigeHandmade  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I just aligned the seat on the chair and screwed in the screws. I didn't search for the old screw hole. If you want to find it you could use a toothpick, awl, or long floral pin to feel around for it.

    WHAT WAY TO YOU PLACE THE STRECH OF THE MATERIAL OR WHAT GOES ON FIRST

    • @PaigeHandmade
      @PaigeHandmade  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This fabric doesn't have stretch, but if it did I would put it horizontally to the chair back.

  • @amytrivett5903
    @amytrivett5903 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    How do you measure the fabric?

    • @PaigeHandmade
      @PaigeHandmade  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Either remove the existing fabric and measure it or measure the seat and add 2-3 inches on all sides.
