When you finally realize as a woman that men don’t deserve to see your body except for the one you love and who loves you, the whole perspective of modesty becomes different.
@@alionessprincess He just thinks that it’s a compliment to him. Which other men do already look at me although I don’t dress or behave provocatively. It’s not something he absolutely desires, just something he enjoys. I guess like a “high five bro” kind of thing. But in my family the females are very much the opposite of me and are more of the Instagram type of women and although they’re married or have significant others they still flaunt it all on social media and in real life. Maybe us being surrounded by that also plays a part in it. He’s very proud of me and loves to show me off to anyone and everyone. He completely understands my reasoning behaving not doing it and absolutely respects my decisions, he just tells me that he’s cool with it if I were the other way.
@@ThisBraveHeart Estrada I really appreciate your honestly and perspective on this. I am surprised your husband was honest with you about that but I do think that is common and although my husband doesn't say it- when I DO get really dressed up with makeup too and everything- he treats me differently in public, it's like he wants to show me off more, I guess it's just something to do with our husbands brains. but I do tell him that I am the 24/7 caretaker and homeschool teacher for our kids and I only dress for comfort to do that, 99% of the time, even when we gather with our home church. And he is always happy with me. But obviously when I get fancy things are different. I can definitely relate to the 'instagram' type woman- still so even when they are married- and it's disturbing to me and not at all what I believe God wills for us. It's leaven. I used to be like that before I got married too- to get a man I guess- but now I have one... I could not continue!
Modesty does not mean a person has to wear black brown and grey all the time. Thank God I'm from India. We love and rejoice in the colours God has created. One can still wear modest clothes and be attractively dressed. One has to maintain a balance between the two. Never go to the extremes of both ends. Keep a balance and one will be fine.
@@vincentannan2120 Every woman in the video, including the audience, is wearing black, brown, gray, white. I agree some color is acceptable. A pink skirt or a green jacket should be fine. Let's stay away from the red lame. Moderation is key. I also wear simple jewelry -- small earrings, simple necklaces, non-jangly bracelets. Small and few.
@@dsvance1 i don't think you got the point, the Topic was about modesty and noone in the video talked about the colours yet people in comments are making it as if the girls said "modesty mean a person have to wear black brown and gray All the time". it's not the Topic here the audience in the video are wearing clothes of different colours, and I don't know what's So important to talk about what is not in the Topic. colours are different to people, everyone uses the colour he likes the most, All people in the video having a head covering it doesn't mean they said it's a must in modesty, Such comments make people think as if it was said in the video, because such long videos people mostly don't watch it completly they read the comments and you shouldn't make statements that makes as if it was in the video.
That's your culture, im Muslim and dress modestly and im from uk, i prefer darker autumn colours. In summer i may wear pastel tones. However my Indian Muslim friends always wear bright colours all year round. Its a cultural difference Nothing wrong with that.

Excellent video! This should go viral. As a youngish woman who could never walk to the shop without make up, dressed immodestly and was conformed to the world in all ways, I have found true freedom in Christ by choosing to embrace that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Dressing modestly and chucking make up and all adornment has set me free from the bondage. Thank you, lovely ladies for sharing this teaching. God bless you.
I've been headcovering and wearing skirts for 6 months & my life has been RADICALLY transformed. I've been so encouraged in regards to how getting vanity out of the way of God's will in my life has allowed my heart to become more conformed to Christ. And in these 6 months I've noticed many other women in my area following suit. Almost every time I go out now, I see another modest woman! How encouraging
@ecarr7026 It is good to hear of your conviction. Those of us who are modest by choice should not appear or feel as though we are holier than the others. That is pride, which is a sin God detests.
This is an invaluable video! There is NOTHING like this on youtube. I was SO happy when it popped up! Please make more videos with the women in your church. I'm over here trying to figure it all out. I'd also love to hear more women in the church on the topic of modesty and also these women's testimonies on how they came to know the Lord.
This past Sunday I watched a mom gently try to cover her daughter's shoulder s up with her coat however the girl continued to pull it off to uncover herself. It was sad to watch
You girls don’t know,In this fallen world how beautiful your outfits are. It’s a beautiful resting place for the eyes. The fashion today is jarring to the eyes and harsh.this was great
What a lovely comment, I can agree. I use to dress so immodest everything was short, low, too tight, leggings, sheer. It’s been a good change to not need those clothes anymore. I still have a long way to go but from someone who came from lusting after both men and women modest apparel is such a nice change to see.
Now that I watch this, it has confirmed things I believe God has been asking me to change for a long time. I once had the heart to follow in this area, but allowed myself to take the “easier” path out of fear and pride. I am searching for the strength to be able to obey. Please pray for me that my heart would be tender again and that I would obey Him at all costs because of how good and loving He is. Thank you for this video!
I glorify Lord that he is open up the heart s and eyes to American women's (sisters in Lord) how to dress accordingly to Biblie! I am very happy, and I could believe my eyes to se how Lord work! I pray Lord God to bless you and all the sisters ho love the Word of God and are ready to obey .❤🙏🙏
read five Psalms a day for 30 days. It has a powerful impact in accepting grace offered by God. I'm Catholic and love hearing women testify to presenting themselves modestly. I try to help men behave and dress more appropriately as Christian men of God. I was way out of grace from puberty to age 30, when I finally dropped to my knees in recognition of God seeking His mercy as a prodigal son. As the angels exclaim (Rev 4:8b) "...Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God almighty, who was, is, and always will be." Such a powerhouse praise verse to obtain grace and combat every temptation and evil from within and without! Keep up the good fellowship ladies!
If it’s of God, you will feel peace in what you do. His burden is not heavy, and creates rest for your soul. Your works of righteousness do not save you, only trusting in Jesus. I pray you find peace that He is pleased with you, and not in upholding any earthly standard-of modesty or immodesty. Life with Jesus is about much much more than clothing….
@@annaflinn783 I hear you, but faith without works are dead. If this sister feels conviction in what she has been wearing and has clearly said the Lord led her in this direction previously and she took the easier way then she should absolutely do as the Holy Spirit leads. Sometimes he will instruct us to do things that are NOT easy and are unfamiliar, but he will guide us, teach us, and help us along the way. That's what it means that His burden is easy and His yoke is light. Sometimes it IS a yoke and a burden, but the help of the Lord makes it easier. Please do not discourage her from obedience to the Lord.
As a father of girls and a youth mentor, I'll say this video is a gem. I was touched by the deep convictions that were communicated here. Thanks for making and sharing this production.
What will you share with your daughters? That their bodies should be hidden, because they are beautiful? That shapeless clothing, earth tones, and covered hair will make them pleasing to God, and desirable to holy men? That they will be protected from harassment and lustful gazes, and they will be granted a husband who sees them for who they really are, not just their bodies-because they keep their elbows, knees, and hair covered? Because none of these things are promised in the word of God. Living in a fallen world means clothing may not keep them safe from any of the above and worse. Only the power of God can do that-and even if they are stark naked. There are no magical physical clothes or head coverings. We are saved by grace alone, and not by works of righteousness.
So try telling the same thing to your boys. Try oppressing them with long head to toe clothing and a ton of restrictions and limitations. Tell them they have to do it because girls just can't control themselves. Mysogeny, plain and simple.
This was very affirming to watch! Sometimes it feels very lonely to live this way. I’ve been headcovering and wearing skirts for 4 years. No one else I know does this. I long for a community of like minded sisters
I love the CS Lewis quote about pride. “Pride gets no pleasure out of having something, only out of having more of it than the next man... It is the comparison that makes you proud: the pleasure of being above the rest. Once the element of competition is gone, pride is gone.” ― C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity.
Yes, after being baptized for almost 43 years, our church has taught us exactly what these ladies have discussed here. I loved the testimonials given by each one. God bless.
I have been impressed to wear dresses or skirts for several years, instead of pants or shorts. However, as I work outside on chores on our small farm, I have fallen several times when my skirts become wrapped around my ankles. Scary as a woman in my late 60's. So now my skirts are long, but not clear down to my ankles. I also wear leggings under my dresses for modesty sake, plus for warmth. I feel more comfortable in dresses than in pants. When we go to the city for groceries, I am always treated with respect. Thanks for your encouragement and testimonies of being modest.
Sometimes when doing a lot of chores on the ground like weeding and picking strawberries, I know some sisters who tie a knot in the front hem of their skirt. This helps to prevent tripping and falling.
You might find Macabi adventure skirts practical. They have various clips to turn them into baggy "harem pants" or temporary wading shorts (useful when struggling thru our stream). Excellent quality, HUGE pockets - I look out for them on discount sales. God bless 💖🙏
I would love more videos like this from this group or women like them! It was such an encouragement. They don’t necessarily have to be about modesty, but women’s spirituality.
I’m so glad I found this video. I mentioned dressing modestly (beginning with skirts/dresses) and my daughter freaked out (she’s 17) and said she didn’t want me looking like a ‘homeschool’ mom. There are homeschool moms who dress modern/contemporary and the homeschool moms who wear skirts only. We attend a conservative church, but it’s mostly contemporary dress. I’m praying that I can let go of the tight jeans, make up and hair. I’m feeling lead into this area of modesty, but not sure how to begin. I want to glorify God with how I dress, but no one else in my church wears a head covering. Thank you for your testimonies and openness. Hoping my comment made sense, it’s a bit scattered
Just do it sister! Pray to be led to do this. Maybe buy more skirts when shopping for clothes instead of pants. Definitely wear skirts on Sabbath and Holy Feast days and it gets easier :D Keep it fun and keep planting the seeds, YAH will water them and your inner beauty will shine for HIM as you dress for YAHUSHUA Jesus and not the world ;)
I think a good start would be different variations of clothes you already wear. Like pants. Go for more unflattering styles that you know you’re not wearing for attention. And a ball cap. I don’t believe we all have to go full on skirts and head coverings. It truly is a matter of the heart. And if you know you’re not wearing things to merely get attention or looks or for whatever reason we do theses things then I think that is what God is looking for. Not saying anything bad about skirts and head coverings. I think if that’s what you feel like you need to do then that is between you and God. I’m team cover up.
When I first got saved modestly one of the first things impressed in my heart it took a while to let everything go but I am greatful to God for his love , grace , his mercy and revelation 💗
Amen..this is the first time in my entire life that I have ever heard of women dressing modest because they love their sisters in Christ. I too have this same mind. Praise Your name Father for leading us all to Your truth through Your Spirit.
In 8 days this video reached 56k views, making it the number one most viewed video Followers of the Way has ever put on their channel. The previous most watched FOTW video was a formal debate with published scholars, the Just War Debate, which reached 55k views, in 8 years. There's something surprising and beautiful about that. It makes me think of the prophecy about "your sons and daughters will prophesy". I thank God for the encouragement and knowledge I have received from this channel, from the men and, now, the women. It's also telling that, aside from negative comments, there are many Christian women across the country, and the world, who are trying to obey God and the New Covenant closely as they know how, but they feel alone and like an oddball even in their church group regarding certain things like headcovering and modesty. What an encouragement and even a surprise this video has been.
The best video I've watched in years. I also feel alone, and often struggle with my transformation. I grew up with modesty, but latter change my dress code. But the Lord spoke in my spirit after several years of changes, and I now dress modestly again. I received lots of criticism from family members . So I can definitely relate to what you ladies experience after transformation both negative and positive. But I wouldn't change it for nothing in this world. Obedience is better than sacrifice. I feel more like a represent the kingdom of messiah. Thank you ladies oh so much for this conformation. May God continue to bless you all. You all look extremely beautiful. Love it.
Beautiful testimonies... When I first got saved in 2019, one of my first convictions was about modesty. I used to wear makeup everyday, wore very immodest clothing, I loved attention from men and competing with other women. But when God saved me, I became aware of my nakedness. Wear crop tops, short skirts, tight clothing to this world may not look immodest because their eyes are blind, they don't see God's standard yet us in Christ do and it can take time to grow in the area of modesty but He will finish the work He began in us. I started headcovering a year ago and have adjusted my dress to draw less attention until I was picked up quite severely by a distant relative, this woman tore me down and that distorted my view lf myself, I became more prideful feeling I had to prove myself. I stopped headcovering and though I didn't go back to my immodest dress, I started to want to show off my hair again and wear more expensive clothes to feel worthy. Until recently God has called me back... I started covering my head again and am now just trying to build up a comfortable wardrobe of modest plain dress... finding clothes is so hard these days, so many skirts are not lined and dresses have plunging neck lines... I making do right now with what I havebut I'd love to learn to sew. God bless these women, and thank you for pursuing what many are afraid to do. I am also that women who covers and dresses "frumpy" when no one else in church does but even so God is with me and working through me and around me. Let's be a witness to the women around us. ✨✝️✨
If I have an unlined skirt then I use an underskirt, it does the same job as a lining.. They come in different lengths and there are full length slips for under dresses too.
@@mariadonkova2759 sorry but I didn't say it was and I don't believe it is a sin to wear it either. I'm not the best with my words and could've shortened this down a lot but not sure how you got that out of my comment?
For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of parched ground: He hath no form, no beauty; and when we see it, there is no beauty for which we desire it. Isaiah 53:2 Makeup is a shame. Jesus Christ did not have an appearance that caught the eye and therefore we too must follow in the footsteps of the Master, dressing ourselves in modesty and humility (wearing makeup attracts the eye). It is written in the Word of God that makeup was used by pagans ( And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window 2 Kings 9:30 ). Furthermore, makeup was used in rituals: therefore wearing makeup is an idolatrous and pagan practice. In Italy the word makeup is called "t r u c c o" and indicates something that deceives and when you wear makeup you have an appearance that is not real and the children of God are children of the Truth and cannot wear a lie. May God the Father bless and enlighten those who seek Him in the Spirit and in the Truth, making us grow in the sanctification of the Holy Spirit and in the love of His Son Christ Jesus the Lord. Shalom Adonai
I’m a Seventh-Day Adventist and our pioneer actually taught all this based on the Bible too, but like we laid aside much of what God has said, the majority of my church has left this modesty gem. And so, here I am. Being encouraged and strengthened by you! THANK YOU!
Come on, one can dress modestly and at the same time attractively, without looking like women from the Middle Ages. These ladies stand out by their ugly outfits.
Interesting because Pentecostal worship service is the opposite of modesty, as far as behavior goes. I might not have the right inches of skirt but I would be sitting there quietly not drawing attention to myself compared to the behavior that goes on inside those places.
Thank you for this. It is reaffirming. I have been dressing modestly for about 12 years. I wore the headcovering for several years and then stopped. After going through loss/grief and needing to be closer to God, I felt pulled to start back wearing a headcovering. It has been very freeing and I feel different when I am covered. It's interesting how it can make you feel alone or alienated by family and even other church members if you attend a church where headcovering is not the norm. Luckily, I go to a church that has a mixture of African, Indian, and other ethnicities who regularly headcover for cultural as well as religious reasons, so I don't feel out of place. *Edited to add the baby is absolutely adorable
Can relate to your comment very much. We attended a conservative Mennonite church over a year for a while now and that's the only church we felt the most comfortable at. God bless you on your journey sister.
Beautiful Testimonies Ladies! We need more young ladies to give their testimonies to encourage the younger generations of women! When I rededicated my life to Christ, which was two years ago, I cleaned out my closet. I trashed all of my worldly clothes, jewelry, makeup, etc. Not minding what anyone would say. I felt like I had regained my true identity in Christ. May the Lord God give us the grace to continue in his will in Jesus' name!
This was a blessing to watch ! As i strive to live more modestly as a young Christian woman, your testimonies and the reflections really encouraged me. I have much to pray about and examine my heart in asking whom im trying to please, whether myself, others or the Lord.
All the way from 🇿🇦 South Africa. My sisters and I also cover our heads and wear modest clothes. It was hard in the beginning but now we it’s part of who we are .
I love the fact that married Christian women headcovering and headcovering in general in South Africa is more commonly accepted than it is elsewhere. Stay blessed sister and encouraged in your conviction.
@@sofiabravo1994And if a woman is ovulating, it is also a gift from God-and nothing to be ashamed of. My point is: if wearing blush makes you appear fertile, and attractive to a mate, and is therefore sinful-how much more would going out in public with open evidence of sexual activity, ie a pregnant belly be sinfully offensive? I don’t believe any of the above is sinful, to be clear. I am calling out a double standard. Blush is covertly sexual and shouldn’t be done, but appearing in public with the obvious proof you have had sex, is fine? It’s not “immodest”?
To me ultra “modesty” as some may call it is a distraction. I’m for not weird. Not too long, not too short. Not too fashion minded, not too dated. Simple, cute, clean.
I agree. I don't think I own anything that would be considered immodest in either a sensual or just a flashy sense of the word. I try to look nice and put together but simple. For example, a pair of plain jeans, a button up blouse and a long sweater. That's more modest, in the sense of not drawing undue attention, than it would be if I were to wear very long skirts and cover my hair all the time. That's more unusual and thus more attention grabbing. If you ever see someone like that in the store, everyone is staring at them.
That’s kind of what I was getting at in my comment… like, they created their own uniform 🤷🏾♀️ who’s to say how much hair to leave out at front you know? The Bible doesn’t say “cover it all except a face-framing swoop” lol they’re just doing what’s conventional in their group. Muslim women cover EVERYTHING! To them, even a smidge of hair like these ladies have is immodest. So, what is the point of covering your hair at all if you don’t cover it all? These are the things I’m wrapping my brain around as I process this information
If Christian women have to cover their hair at all times, rather than when praying/prophesying in a corporate gathering, than men cannot ever wear hats. Modesty is a principle, not a style.
But, we're called to be set apart. We shouldn't look like the world. We're called to be a peculiar people. Back in the days of Jesus, you could tell who was a Jew, just by looking at them. They were different. People should see the way we look, the way we talk, the way we act, and be able to pick us out from everyone else. If you blend into the world - then you're no different than the world. "Come out of her My people".
This video was no coincidence, found it at a time when I am battling not to go back and I’m slowly slipping back. It’s so hard sometimes I want to cry, when ppl tell you how beautiful u used to be😢 it can sting and the insecurity got the best of me. Dear God pls help me obey, help me surrender and help me find my joy again
Makeup and clothing has very little to do with your heart. The Shema says the first commandment is to love God with all your heart all your soul and all your mind and a second is similar to it… love your neighbour as yourself… Modesty AND moderation are wonderful. I applaud these woman however wearing makeup and attractive modest clothes doesn’t mean you are less passionate about loving God! Notice these woman all have quite a few children ; between 7-12, that’s great for them and it doesn’t mean we all need to follow in their exact footsteps.
This is my issue too. My husband constantly calls my loose dresses pillow cases. I have tried to explain to him that I’m trying to be modest but he feels like I’m hiding my body. That’s not my purpose and I don’t know how to get that across. Not that I need to be dressed like a nun but the more I seek god the more I realize my loose baggy jeans and flowy skirts feel more comfortable than the tight jeans and super revealing T-shirt’s. I also have two teen daughters in trying to be an example for😞. I will pray for you and encouragement and strength for you.
I’m so sorry sister in Christ please don’t be discouraged or feel like your any less beautiful because you are beautiful in the Lord’s eyes You aren’t alone I too been struggling dying to the flesh but I am slowly transitioning after God showed me dreams on how I should dress and I took the hint. I’m still buying skirts slowly and my sleeping pajamas to be dresses. I would always wear shorts, leggings and ripped jeans but I can’t wear them anymore. Right now I’m wearing shorts as we speak lol because my dresses are dirty so I have to wash them 😢 as far as my family they havent said anything about me dressing in skirts just one family member misses how I used to dress but I just ignore it. Let’s continue to die to our flesh for Jesus and walk the narrow path. Family or society might look at us differently but in the end God finds us beautiful and he’s calling all of us to be apart from the world. The devil runs the world so that’s why they all find it weird the way we dress because he’s the one who influenced everyone to dress inappropriate amongst other things. Let’s pray for for everyone to turn from their ways and for them to turn to Christ. God bless 🙏🏼

The baby at 47 minutes in😍😍 I am about halfway through, and I have found this video very encouraging! Many years ago I covered my head and only wore dresses, but I found that my heart became prideful and I also struggled with insecurity relating to my husband. I also didnt feel supported by him in that area. I Sometimes wish I would have followed through with my convictions, but when I look at the amazing ways we've been able to see God move over the years, the people we have been able to see go from darkness to light, our 8 children who live and breathe for Jesus, I rest in knowing that the Holy Spirit is at work in many ways and many different circumstances. Still, I love this...and forever will be drawn to this way of seeing the scriptures... Thank you for sharing!!
I tend to wear mini dresses over my jeans as a long top. Hats for the cold weather or have my hair tied up. My husband is not into make up & hair extensions so I don’t feel under any pressure to wear makeup or have extensions in my hair. I wear skirts for church. Jeans & trousers for wok as I work in a job I have to be on the floor at times . It’s some times more modest to have trousers on and not be in just a skirt or dress. It’s being strong in your conviction of how you feel God wants you to dress & also standing by it regardless of the negative or positive comments. The older you get the more confident you feel.
I have a strong hunch that these women that dressed very modest and conservative don’t have to worry about work activities on a job site. They’re probably all stay at home moms. your point is well taken though.
@@selahchunem8447 at least in nursing/healthcare in general we can wear long skirts (ankle length, for safety). That’s all I wear myself. Historically , nurses used to wear ONLY long dresses and skirts! Today, it’s just that they are more functional - scrub companies sell skirt/dress scrubs with extra pockets and the right material to be washed in very hot water the way scrubs must be. (: personally it’s much more comfortable to do 12 hour shifts in a skirt rather than scrubs. But, to your point, I used to be a housewife and yes it’s easier to be modest with no job, for sure! Haha
I worked in elementary school 21 years. I tried for a bit to "look professionally pretty" but if my skirt was short enough to be out of my way it was too short. I was constantly stepping on the hem, rolling my chair over the hem 🙄. I always wore pants. You're in the floor with kids a lot. Gardening at home in a dress would also be a nightmare for me.
I was called to modesty about eight years ago. However, in recent times, I have been compromising because I did not like how I felt wearing a skirt while running. So while I gave up pants, I still wear regular fitness clothing. I started wearing sleeveless tank tops again as well. Long story short, this just popped up, and I think God is telling me to get back on track. Thank you for your testimonies.
@@lifeoftomikachance there are athletic skirts. I wear them to the gym. Some of shorts under so the leggings don’t show under the gym skirt and some have long leggings attached to the skirt
Thank you for talking on this subject. I think many women secretly want this but make excuses or are afraid to step "out of the norm". Help your daughters my Lord, to please You in all ways.
there is natural delight in doing things the way God intends... find a little girl who doesn't love a long, swishy, twirly skirt. I feel so safe and comforted with my head covered and a skirt on, but I don't want to look like a freak!
I wanted this for decades and just started wearing only dresses and skirts two months ago at the age of 38. I haven't started wearing head coverings... maybe I'll feel this conviction eventually but right now I don't feel convicted to cover my head.
I'm being given everything I need, just as I need it these past few weeks, this video is just another exavideo! I came to TH-cam for some Christmas music, this was in my FYP. I've recently decided that modest dressing will be part of my life. Listening to this while online shopping (and crying, and praying). Thank you Ladies for this video!
Thankyou ladies. I am a Christian who has been really seeking how God wants me live. I found your presentation to feel very honest & relates to the experiences of many girls & women today, and most importantly scripture based. Thank you so much. You appear to be women living in this world but not of this world as you seek the kingdom of God.
This is such a refreshing video! The kinds of conversations I wish I could have in person with older sisters. Not having an in-person example to follow, I really appreciate this, and aspire to someday be that kind of encourager and example to younger sisters!
I have always raised my children both male's and female's to dress modestly and appropriately in all situations. To be modest doesn't mean a woman need's to dress like holly hobby. It is perfectly fine to wear pretty clothing that is fashionable. I also teach my daughter's that if they look in the mirror and say "dang!" then they are dressed inappropriately regardless if they are wearing skirts, dresses, or pants. Also a dress is not always appropriate just because it's a dress as sometimes it would be more modest to wear loose fitting sweats and a t-shirt then a tighr short dress We as mother's need to be careful not to body shame our daughter's.
I been married for 45 years. My husband is deceased. I believe with all my heart a woman should look like a woman . A man should look like a man their dress. Years ago women didn't wear shirt skirts and pants. Satan invented these fashion to awake the list in men. Women are blind to what created all the rape and murder of women. Please wake up ladies. I am a woman. I tried look at all the flesh. God cover everything He made.
I would love to see more videos from you ladies! This was so encouraging and that is hard to find these days! It's so good to find other sisters you can relate to!💕
I used to practice living like these sisters. I put it aside when I realized I was not doing it for the right reasons. I embrace living simply but it's a journey and I frequently fall short. I'm glad this video is here and I looking forward to listening to the rest.
You start step by step. Not having a right motive is not the reason for you to quit. Ask God to help you to continuesly live holy. By the way it's not all the things the sisters do that I practise. We must still read the scriptures with understanding.
I admire your honesty. I completely agree. The motive of their heart should be the main focus. Dressing like the “sisters” do and having a distant heart from God’s doesn’t make any sense

But not only did He change the way I dressed He changed the way I think about it. He changed my heart ❤️. Thank u Jesus 💓
The Lord has been tugging on my heart about a head covering. But I’ve been avoiding it due to fear of what others would think. This video, in addition to other ways God was calling me to head covering, helped me have the courage to place an order for my first head covering from Etsy!!!
Do it. You don’t have to fear what others will think because the people who matter to you will think great things of you. Those who don’t, won’t matter to you in the end.
Obey God dearly Beloved and pay no attention to what they would say, why? Cause at the end of the day GOD is the final Judge of the earth not family and friends. One more thing when covering our heads let's cover all of it and leave no hairline out. God bless you.
Her hair is your covering on your head. As stated in 1st Corinthians 11:15 But if a woman have long hair it is a glory to her: for her HAIR is given her for a covering.
1 Corinthians literally tells us that a woman's long hair is given her for a covering. 1 Corinthians 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. Why should we think we can do better than God and cover our long hair with a man-made covering? The Bible teaches that a woman should only put on a covering if she has short hair or is shaven/bald: "For if the woman be not covered (without LONG hair as her covering, but short), let her ALSO be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered." 1 Corinthians 11:6 So, no short hair, ladies, otherwise it's a head covering if you wish to be covered. Sorry. 🤷🏽♀️
If anyone comments negatively or adversely over this then they obviously didn’t listen to the ladies testimonials. WOW!! What raw, open words from each personal life’s story. I found myself while listening. Not legalistic at all, just pure hearts loving God. REAL words, stories, experiences from different roads. Not self righteous… I appreciate you sharing. Some may look at this and roll their eyes, or swipe by before listening, but this is so good!!! Thank you for sharing… thank you for being vulnerable and sharing personal testimonies. This is so rare it seems “wrong” even among Christian’s 😢 we’ve gone so far. Keep sharing and remain encouraged in our Redeemer Jesus Christ, our beautiful GOD, the only GOD!
@@morningmorning4479 it says: But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved. For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered. Therefore, it is obvious that hair is not the covering mentioned as it says that if her head is not covered let her hair be shaved off.
Agreed, there is a distinction between the hair and the covering, BUT if it is to be worn at all times, and not just while praying/prophesying in a corporate gathering, then make sure you follow the logic to completion, and do not allow men to wear hats at any time.
What articulate women! Thank you for your honesty, gratitude expressed to those who mentored/discipled you, for your willingness to share your heart-searching steps and daily surrender, and especially your theology from the Bible. The LORD is glorified and it is apparent this is your desire.
Yes there is modest and there is plain. And modesty has a line. For my personal conviction I need a much bigger boundary in putting my sin to death and have been called to a plain life. It's not always about looks or even my body but my attention and focus, my desires and distractions. Taming a heart that wants to consume, consume everything and taste everything, build and buy and try everything lolol. I mostly have these huge desires and plans that mostly involve building things. I have to practice modesty and being plain in my desires to build and design things. I want to do everything and my desire and will get tangled up in extravagance if I let it. For me it's my heart, my desires, something I do that my friends might do everyday might be sinful for my heart because of my own flesh and because it might be too close to a temptation for me. Dress, clothing, makeup all those things if too much thought or attention goes into it I can easily fall into sin and being too excessive and it's where my heart is not about the actions. A friend could put on a little mascara and not fall into sin but that's not me.
So edifying. I also loved how at the root it was brought back to discipleship. We are ambassadors of Christ & our identity is in Him. If we walk by His Spirit we will not fulfill lusts of the flesh. Modesty is a work of grace through the Holy Spirit. Jesus is able to teach us and lead us in what pleases Him as it’s about Him, not man made standards. We can help one another in love but we each have to have our own faith. I love that Erica said we should 1st ask ourselves: “If God says so, will we do it?” Are we willing to die to self In order to please Him? & also love the encouragement by Natasha to press on even if we can be weary of standing out & being different. I’ve been mocked for my covering… I’ve been looked at funny for my style of dress when living in the city.. but, my heart’s posture has been People didn’t die for me, Jesus did. I want to please Him. May God continue the good work He began in yall… in every area and give us grace to endure til the end.
Thank you so much for this!! Can you show us maybe how you put your head covering on? Maybe it’s a silly question, but I really want to try this. I feel deep inside that this is how I should dress… I’m wearing modest dresses already.. but I need to go further, I need to learn.. thank you. May God bless you all🙏🏼
Hello from South Africa 🇿🇦 this was amazing. I've always been a modest person buy my sister wasn't and gave her life to Jesus I 2020 lockdown. The Lord is leading her to modesty and headcovering. I feel in my spirit that the Lord is doing this for her because of the spirit of Jezebel. I haven't had this conviction because I never had an issue with self love to that degree. I told her it seems like a great idea for her but I will only go if I feel the conviction. God bless you all for your beautiful testimonies
Its great that we are having conversations about dress and modesty in today"s culture. I am a Christian woman who has always worked, wears jeans most of the time, wears a bit of make up and loves dangly earrings! I do not head cover. I still consider my clothing modest. Lets not let things like clothes divide us dear sisters. Let is have the freedom to decide where our lines are and not judge either way. Dress is in part cultural. There are bigger battles to fight. I am in the UK and we don't seem to have these conversations. It seems to be a US thing. Interesting.
I grew up homeschool, and felt little to no insecurity about how I dressed or what I looked like. This was partially due to my personality, as a sister of mine still had struggles with body image, but being homeschooled still had a big impact on out how I felt about myself. My mom shopped and thrift stores for clothing that was modest and high quality, not for clothes that were trendy. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and we also have a modesty standard. I sincerely believe that you can dress modestly and beautifully to glorify God and express your God given internal gifts and creativity! Whenever I meet women who define their worth by their appearance it really hurts my heart. They are daughters of God and worth so much more than what they look like. Their souls are unique and beautiful. I believe it is right to dress to express the inner person--the person God loves and wants to save. That's my little testimony on modesty.
That's nice that you want to dress modestly, but it won't get you to heaven. The Bible says, You must be born again. Latter Day Saints is a cult, and do not teach truth. There's only one way to a relationship with God, through the blood that Jesus shed on the cross. Please get you a KJV Bible, and read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the four gospels.
John Smith was a false prophet. I’d strongly advise reading the Bible apart from the Mormon church and looking into what God said. Please research some questions about the church of Latter Day Saints, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Him
I loved that the ladies were honest and shared their stories. I wish Natasha shared in more details her life story. May God bless us grow in faith and knowledge of the Word of God.
As an Orthodox Jewish woman, I have always dressed modestly, like all those in my community. It is refreshing to see that other people have the same outlook on women dressing this way.
@@aplineuganda5011Jewish orthodox people absolutely do NOT worship idols. Maybe you confused that with Christian Orthodox, where there is an abundance of carved images. No such thing in Judaism.
I am commenting again to say I really want to hear more from these lovely women. I would love to hear more of their wisdom on biblical womanhood. It’s really needed for lots of us Christian woman.
This was so amazing, these beautiful ladies touched on everything, even the false pride in being frumpy. This process is individual, between you and the Lord, he will NEVER steer you wrong. The heart is the beginning of modesty.♥️
Today Sunday in Germany, coming from Sundaymeeting finding this video ,Glory to Jesus, seeing Sisters in Christ loving him, following Him,loving his word.Thank you sisters! A Man..
Last night I was looking up videos on prayer shawls and I came across this video. I had never considered wearing head cover, but this was so convicting. It gave me such peace! I love the testimonies!! I didn't leave the house today, but I looked up different ways to wear them, now I just need to buy a scarf.
I am very thankful this video. Because of it, I have found sermons on your channel for head covering. I attend a Baptist church, my husband and I are 100000% SURE we are saved, and we are the only family that is unashamedly "plain" in our church and community.
This is so valuable. Would you please do more stories of women in your church and also their testimonies? God bless you all. And thank you to the women who participated in this.
I'm so excited to watch this. I used to be very revealing and immodest before I accepted Christ. It is a personal conviction for me to be modest and plain now. I had so many piercings, crazy hair styles, makeup, revealing clothes etc... i started being modest and embracing head covering (I felt convicted so I listened) and I feel closer to God. I hope more women embrace their convictions to be more modest in the months and years to come. I was so afraid to start because of fear of judgement. My fellow Christians were more vicious to me about it than the secular world was/is. Some days I am more modest than others, it fluctuates, but I always return to feeling convicted to go back to full modesty. As long as no one is forcing someone to be modest, why would they be ostracized? This whole legalism thing is real but modesty itself is not legalism, I think a lot of people don't take the time to mentally sort that out, they just go off on the Pharisee rant. Corinthians doesn't REQUIRE women to head cover, but it doesn't ban it either. It basically says if she is convicted to cover, then let her cover. But there is no rule against it. And modesty in general can apply to both men and women. 💓 it is such a beautiful thing when it is what a woman chooses to wear of her own free will. Edit: if you want to be more modest, you can start with baby steps. For example, wear a regular t-shirt instead of a spaghetti strap shirt. Wear shorts that cover more of your legs instead of the shorty shorts. Start with wearing a headband instead of a full head scarf. Don't let people discourage you if you truly feel convicted to cover up a little more 💓 May God bless you and keep you
Hello dear sister when next you feel the heat of the biases remember that GOD is your final Judge. They would be no where to be found it would just be you and your God
It’s a rabbit hole just be a careful. When does the line end. No shaving legs, no deodorant. Soon it becomes something it wasn’t meant to be and so many restrictions or rules that are not even in the Bible. You get even more attention going out in public than you did just wearing normal clothes that are not revealing..
What a great series of discussions, I think this talks about things that go beyond even modesty it talks about women's identity in the modern world, and the struggles women face in the west. I wish more women would get together and have discussions like this, the 3rd wave feminist narrative of sexualization being empowering that's so mainstream in today's society is really harmful for women and even society as a whole, and you can see it in all these women's stories.
This video has been popping up on my feed for a while and I'm so glad I finally clicked on and watched it. What an amazing video. So many wonderful gems of truth. Thank you and love from Uganda 🇺🇬
I am a modest muslim ❤️I dont know why i really like these beautiful women and consider them as sisters🌹 .they are confident ,sweet ,well-spoken💎 .much love may God give us light guidance and happiness ❤️
You sound so sweet sister. May The Lord God Almighty open yr heart and yr family to the TRUTH OF His Son- Lord Jesus Christ = God in flesh= The Lamb Sacrifice - God bless you and your family.
Yes, modesty is needed today. This is a great reflection offered and I hope many young girls will find this. Two thoughts come to mind (I'm Catholic).... Our Blessed Mother (Mary) told the little seers at Fatima that, "Fashions would be introduced that would offend Our Lord very much" and what Archbishop Fulton Sheen said, that when exorcists would bring the Blessed Sacrament into the presence of possessed people, they would start to disrobe (to offend Jesus).
What Jesus says in the Word Of God is the clearest direction we can find & follow on modesty. Jesus alone, not prophets of old, not Mary, not angels. Only Jesus.
Are you actually saying that God didn’t use human beings to give us His word? Fact check how you are actually reading Gods word. It was canonized through His Holy church the Catholic Church.
Thank you for sharing your experience of glorifying God above your desires boldly. His word has the power to give us not only God's desire but also to transform us to his likeness. I got encouraged and inspired.
This is an incredibly helpful conversation which covers a lot of ground, and addresses a large number of common concerns. Glory to God, thank you for uploading this video and sharing it!
I can relate to everyone on the panel and I’m so grateful that I was lead to this video. My prayers were answered through this video alone so all praises to God! I have been going back and forth with pants, jewelry, and what God says I can and can’t and what pleases him. I was told years ago by God about makeup and I stopped then started again and I paid for that, now I don’t own any lipstick or color lip gloss. I read about head covering when praying or prophecy in 1 Corinthians and I remember being so upset that I was praying in church and my own leader did not tell me this was incorrect. When I read the scripture, I cried like a newborn baby for a long time. WOW thank you all for sharing and I’m a new supporter❤😊and when you know better, you do better, all to the glory of God and not man. This was worth the 2 hours😊
Thank you, Followers of the Way ladies! My family has been on this journey (leaving mainstream US Christianity for historic Kingdom Christianity) since we heard a David Bercot talk on head covering around a decade ago and I have often lamented the lack of fellowship of women in my life who are walking this way, but I realize that women living the life God has called us to are so busy living it that there isn't much time to talk about it publicly! (I confess a little envy when Mrs. Baer referenced an app the local ladies connect on!) So, THANK YOU! I hope there will be more of these forums in the future! I'm grateful to your families for making you available to us and for your willingness to put yourselves out there to such a wide audience and encourage us! God's peace and grace to you.
The young woman in the patterned black makes excellent points with her scripture choices after the visual aides from the book of fashion. May the Lord continue to strengthen her in her walk and encourage her by His Spirit 🕊📖🙏🏼💐
Thank you for sharing your experiences and journey in your faith and in finding modesty. I am a Muslim and I wear hijab and dress modesty as much as I can. We all go through the struggles to practice our faith in what God, The Almighty has commended us to do. I sometimes get looks and made to feel like I am a “terrorist” because of my modest clothing and unfortunately how mainstream media constantly projects muslims as “terrorist” and muslim women who cover modestly as “oppressed” by their husbands. I remind myself that Mary, mother of Jesus, was a modest women she was covered head to toe including her neck; similar to how nuns in the church cover; most practicing Muslim women cover similarly. So we are blessed in that way that we know what modesty should look like. May God, The Most Merciful, make it easy for us to complete His Perfect worship until our last breath, Amen.
I am encouraged to see you on here, and glad that you enjoyed the video! I have certainly felt a kinship in many things with my Muslim neighbor, as we both do many things that are against the way the popular world goes. I pray the Lord God continues to show you more of His goodness, His purposes for your life, and most of all may you come to know the Great Love God has for you personally which surpasses all knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 💙🙏🏽💙
Nissa, I was going to say something about hijabi style but you did it for me! Baggy pants and long flannel shirts have been my go to forever! Summer, its chiffon and lace undercap. Winter its Jersey undercap and cotton voile, or pashmina. Still that heavy winter hat on top!
@@coolmariobros-ul7yr you have to check out hijabi street fashion it's just beautiful! In USA hijabis have totally reinvented modest style with a ferocious edge to it. Thanks to them I have at least one open front denim abaya! Sharp!
Thank you Nissa for sharing, but , it’s not by what we are wearing , as long as we are dressed appropriately and not revealing our bodies which are holy. The most important is the love of God that is poured in our hearts by the Holy Sprit ❤. God bless your life
Perfect timing. I've been fighting with my flesh about my headcovering. I've been contemplating and having dreams even of not wearing a covering anymore. Even vaguely and unconsciously dressing/acting immodest has snuck in lately and my husband has had to correct me several times. I took the correction and conviction and needed this confirmation. God's timing is perfect..Thank you, sisters!
That is sweet. You are his and he is yours. We are so blessed by God to have godly husband's. The other women aren't so lucky. I have to say I purposely make mine correct me heheh..... I love it♥️
@@Vlindertjeab I personally don't wear a head covering except my own hair. I dress up for my husband and him only, we were secular and I feel the need to look pretty for him when we are together. That's my own conviction from the holy spirit. If I go out by myself, I normally look embarrassing, literally. Like hair up, sweatpants, slippers and a 4x shirt that is much to big with a giant cross on front of shirt.(not that the Cross is embarrassing it is just the rest of the outfit to clarify) There are definitely different ways to dress to try and not attract the opposite sex. I do this for God and God only. My husband is a special possession and i want to only enjoy him, not another man. I want his adoration. We didn't have a good life together till we were took over by Jesus, now my husband and I are truly in love. Our marriage is a mirror of Christ and the church. What a wonderful thing, I wish all married people could enjoy. I am my beloveds and he is mine.
most incredible window into another world - these women all have it together, and love how they're easy to understand, my college students always mumbled and didn't sound organized
What an outstanding talk on modesty! Regarding the reply at 1:38, I have found it helpful to move around in front of a full length mirror. (Jumping, viewing from behind, etc.) It's also good to keep in mind the sheerness of a garment when in strong light. A long slip, for example, may be needed or just a thicker garment altogether. The less than ideal garment could then be turned into a headcovering.
I think modesty of the heart is very important to God, however being modest is not about covering our hair. Or wearing long skirts. I love skirts and modesty I learned the opposite. We must make sure we are careful not to judge other women. I agree both ways. Vanity is sin. I knew women who wore the long skirts no makeup, however prideful and looking down at other women. It does not mean if you are beautiful you are vain. I thing it boils down to the heart. Men open doors for me and respect me and I dress decent. Fine balance ladies.
What is balance for you? Your balance can be different from the balance of someone else. But, there is only One True: The Word of GOD. Women cannot wear men dress. I agree with you when you said modesty should be inside and outside. We need to glorify GOD in everything we do, act, and taught.
The virtuous woman in proverbs said she wears purple or has purple linen Colors are ok to wear ladies , also Adam looked at eve and said WO MAN WOMAN you need to look appealing to your husband If another man lust after your baby pinky because it’s showing That’s on him , sometimes no matter what you do or how you dress they will look because it’s in the man to look It’s the second look that gets him in trouble ! and it’s not your fault
@@morningmorning4479 agreed But some there husband's seem to want it that way, which in that case is ok. I feel my husband wants me to look good for him tho, and so I do. But when I ain't with him I do not dress pretty. I wear equivalent to rags, it even embarrassing to myself sometimes lol but I don't like for men to look at me, makes me feel weird now a days.
I love the head covering style I see a lot of you wearing - that bun-like twist. I'm just convinced it will fall apart and slide off if I try it. I use a stretchy covering from Garlands of Grace, but if I try to put it behind my ears, it will slide off. Even covering my ears, it still tends to slide. I need your make-your-head-covering-stay on secrets!
There’s a website called Wrapunzle , where a Jewish woman started a company and sells scarves suitable for head covering as well as “ shapers” that you can wear underneath to give shape and if you have really short heir and the scarf slips off. …….and a TH-cam channel called Wrapunzle where they demonstrate different wrapping styles. I’ve bought from them and can recommend them , their products are good and they have good customer service. I think it’s an all female business too. For anyone who wants to begin hear covering, I would recommend this site and the TH-cam channel for tutorials.
I just started ordering from an Etsy seller named “BubbysMiami” it’s like a pre-tied head covering with elastic. It’s hard to explain but it stays on for me and is comfortable and affordable.
@addtothebeauty, I have found that a "wig holder" (a velvet headband) helps a lot to keep coverings in place. The one I bought from Amazon has been much more helpful than the one I got from Garlands of Grace, surprisingly! Also, the scarf bun stays on surprisingly well for me! As to volumizers, as someone with thin hair, I played with that idea for a while but realized it's just another vanity issue. I could see no reason to add volume under my covering other than to appear more stylish or as though I have more hair than I do.
Years ago the Lord convicted me about wearing pants. At the time I felt He said that it had to do with who wore the pants in the family. However, I am now 77 and pants are simply more comfortable for my lifestyle. God be praised. Support you all the way.
Thank you for putting yourselves out there...by sharing. I sat in Church for over thirty years and not one person (pastor included) ever talked about modest apparel. I'm now ashamed at what I thought was modest. It was not until my husband and I noticed that YHWH God's law was still 'all' in effect....and that the end was told from the beginning...seventh day Sabbath and all...that He then...softened my heart to understand I should 'cover up' more. A head-covering came first...after 'thinking' and praying. All of antiquity understood this. Most cultures for millennia had covered women. It is depicted in so much art, etc. Yet, even now, ten years into covering and modest dress, I walk alone in my little world. Most believers (Messianic included) do not cover their heads. The physical represents the spiritual...and my heart hurts for our 'one' Body in Messiah.
Even though this was SO long, I kept watching. Everyone had really good points/things to say to make us think. I kept thinking that I am happy that I'm not up there, because I'm shy and how could I ever say anything more important than the first lady who spoke. And then, the next lady spoke, and she also had things to say that tied into what the first one said, and then the 3rd, and then the 4th. I could see myself in each of these women. I could see people in my house telling me similar or even the same things that were told to each one of these women. I homeschool. I am out in the wilderness of Southern AZ. Compared to living in the city, almost no one would see me on a daily basis, and yet, I still ask myself: What would my family say about me, or to me, if I dressed with a head covering. I already dress modestly, except for that. It's that last thing. I already know that my husband would not mind. He appreciates that I don't put on makeup on a daily basis. I will go months without makeup and wear it only on occasions when it's a major holiday, and that's only if I can be bothered. Now that I say that, I feel silly that I have any cosmetics at all. I think I'll march myself right into the bathroom and throw it away! That way, I won't be tempted, and neither would my 7 year old. I can't wait until the Lord comes back and we can all just be accepted when dressing the way He wants.
Thank you beautiful women of Christ. I’m very new on my christian journey and found your testimonies to be immeasurably useful and made me think about why I dress the way I do and what effects that has. God Bless you all❤️
I love the video. We need more personal testimonies, like this, to encourage all women to consider this step for Jesus. I feel especially now in these end times. I love modesty! :)

I don't think they mentioned that women should wear black brown and Grey all the time.

I agree! Me too! No one in my church talks about this kind of thing, and I'm trying to learn more!
Yes! I've been searching for a video like this too. I was also happy when it popped up on my feed. 😭
Thank you for this video. There's more corruption in this world. Good things are no more worth living for.
This past Sunday I watched a mom gently try to cover her daughter's shoulder s up with her coat however the girl continued to pull it off to uncover herself. It was sad to watch

I wish to dress like you ladies. I love being modest and do dress in a modest way. I would love to cover my head.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@J C thanks l will
What a lovely comment, I can agree. I use to dress so immodest everything was short, low, too tight, leggings, sheer. It’s been a good change to not need those clothes anymore. I still have a long way to go but from someone who came from lusting after both men and women modest apparel is such a nice change to see.
@@kfollowstheway138 Amen to that
Now that I watch this, it has confirmed things I believe God has been asking me to change for a long time.
Lol make my own clothes
read five Psalms a day for 30 days.
As a 24 year old man, I believe this video is a gem. Thank you for sharing
Thank you for sharing.
This is so good to hear coming from a gentleman. ❤
As a father of girls and a youth mentor, I'll say this video is a gem. I was touched by the deep convictions that were communicated here. Thanks for making and sharing this production.
Awesome! Please help build up boys and men to be St Josephs and virtue loving souls
Kweli kabisa
Now go and share it with your daughters and the youth you mentor. Looking forward to your feedback.

I am revisiting my closet again...there are some clothes that must go!
😂During my youth my dress style was Madonna, Janet Jackson, and Cyndi Lauper😮 .. I'm now modestly dressed ❤
Yes, after being baptized for almost 43 years, our church has taught us exactly what these ladies have discussed here. I loved the testimonials given by each one. God bless.
We praise God
I have been impressed to wear dresses or skirts for several years, instead of pants or shorts. However, as I work outside on chores on our small farm, I have fallen several times when my skirts become wrapped around my ankles. Scary as a woman in my late 60's. So now my skirts are long, but not clear down to my ankles. I also wear leggings under my dresses for modesty sake, plus for warmth. I feel more comfortable in dresses than in pants. When we go to the city for groceries, I am always treated with respect. Thanks for your encouragement and testimonies of being modest.
In cities, you are less likely to be assaulted and raped dressed that way.
Sometimes you have to wear something functional to perform work.
There is a balance and things can swing too far into the letter of the law instead of the spirit.💖
Definitely wear skirts on Sabbath and Holy Feast days and it gets easier :D Keep it fun and keep planting the seeds, YAH will water them and your inner beauty will shine for HIM as you dress for YAHUSHUA Jesus and not the world ;)
I did shop for long skirts today. I’m not great at matching or picking out the best fabrics. I definitely don’t want to tuck my shirts in. 😬
Be the change 🤗
Find a line longer skirts and tunic type tops. You do not need to tuck in the top
Best wishes on your journey

Glory to God. God bless you in the Name of Jesus
If I have an unlined skirt then I use an underskirt, it does the same job as a lining.. They come in different lengths and there are full length slips for under dresses too.
Makeup is not a sin
@@mariadonkova2759 sorry but I didn't say it was and I don't believe it is a sin to wear it either. I'm not the best with my words and could've shortened this down a lot but not sure how you got that out of my comment?
For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of parched ground: He hath no form, no beauty; and when we see it, there is no beauty for which we desire it. Isaiah 53:2
Makeup is a shame.
THANK YOU!
Hello, fellow pilgrim of the same faith.
I’m seven day Adventist too. I agree as well.
Come on, one can dress modestly and at the same time attractively, without looking like women from the Middle Ages. These ladies stand out by their ugly outfits.
Powerful. Thank you for the lessons

Felt convicted threw out the worldly clothes Thank You Jesus
This sister was hilarious. “Do I want to communicate to the world that I am ovulating” 🤣 amazing testimonies 🙌
The pregnant belly on display communicates MUCH more than ovulation…..
@@annaflinn783😄
@@annaflinn783like what? Sex? If the woman is married it’s not shameful it’s a beautiful thing from God.
I get you but what they are wearing is only weird in modern society and our society is messed up. It was not considered weird for thousands of years.
Thank you for your courage and honesty. This discussion should go viral.
Stay strong! You are beautiful!

I am about halfway through, and I have found this video very encouraging!
Thank you for your testimonies.

there is natural delight in doing things the way God intends... find a little girl who doesn't love a long, swishy, twirly skirt. I feel so safe and comforted with my head covered and a skirt on, but I don't want to look like a freak!

Also a dress is not always appropriate just because it's a dress as sometimes it would be more modest to wear loose fitting sweats and a t-shirt then a tighr short dress
We as mother's need to be careful not to body shame our daughter's.
I watch
I been married for 45 years. My husband is deceased. I believe with all my heart a woman should look like a woman . A man should look like a man their dress. You said it so well. Thank you

I respect and appreciate all the sisters that are able to be as modest as shown in this video. May God bless you and keep you close to Him!
My study group has done lots of Jerry bridges books you might enjoy reading them.
I admire your honesty. I completely agree. The motive of their heart should be the main focus. Dressing like the “sisters” do and having a distant heart from God’s doesn’t make any sense

Do some research as to the "why". Just because someone wears a head covering, it does not mean more "holy".
The Bible teaches that a woman should only put on a covering if she has short hair or is shaven/bald:
"For if the woman be not covered (without LONG hair as her covering, but short), let her ALSO be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered." 1 Corinthians 11:6
So, no short hair, ladies, otherwise it's a head covering if you wish to be covered. Sorry.
Well stated. +JMJ+
I'm deeply disturbed by the cult-like brainwashing into a dangerously suppressive male -dominated breeding cult.
I've been wrestling with this conversation for at least a year...modesty, headcovering...praying 🙏
In cor 11 it says if the woman shave or cuts her hair , then she must wear a head covering for it is a shame for her head to be uncovered ,
@@morningmorning4479 it says: But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved.
Modesty is a principle, not a dress code. Many different styles are modest.
@@auntieanna exactly!!!!
I'm modest every day in my dress and I don't have to wear drab looking clothing to be modest. I have stylish, colorful clothing that is 100% modest.
What articulate women! Thank you for your honesty, gratitude expressed to those who mentored/discipled you, for your willingness to share your heart-searching steps and daily surrender, and especially your theology from the Bible. The LORD is glorified and it is apparent this is your desire.
I like that they didn't just talk about sensuality, which I think is not exclusively what modesty means, but about extravagance!
I love that Erica said we should 1st ask ourselves:
“If God says so, will we do it?”
Are we willing to die to self
In order to please Him?
& also love the encouragement by Natasha to press on even if we can be weary of standing out & being different. I’ve been mocked for my covering… I’ve been looked at funny for my style of dress when living in the city.. but, my heart’s posture has been
People didn’t die for me, Jesus did. I want to please Him.
May God continue the good work He began in yall… in every area and give us grace to endure til the end.
I also loved the historical presentation of how people dressed modestly.
Such a gem. I’ve shared it with others 😊
God bless you real good ma'am
Wow, I love this. I had to pick my pen while reading your comments
God bless you ma'am
Thank you so much for this!! Can you show us maybe how you put your head covering on? Maybe it’s a silly question, but I really want to try this. I feel deep inside that this is how I should dress… I’m wearing modest dresses already.. but I need to go further, I need to learn.. thank you.
May God bless you all🙏🏼
This is beautiful
Hello from South Africa 🇿🇦 this was amazing. I've always been a modest person buy my sister wasn't and gave her life to Jesus I 2020 lockdown. The Lord is leading her to modesty and headcovering. I feel in my spirit that the Lord is doing this for her because of the spirit of Jezebel. I haven't had this conviction because I never had an issue with self love to that degree. I told her it seems like a great idea for her but I will only go if I feel the conviction. God bless you all for your beautiful testimonies
Hi, I don’t think that Head covering and modesty is not an issue for those with low self love . It’s actually the opposite.
Just saying
Smart, educated, modest, and Godly women. Great to see!
Smart, educated people who are so disturbed that they joined a high control cult and became brood mares. These are not healthy people.
Look at all old photos of church ladies, all denominations wore dresses. Little by little the world crept in the church.
AMEN!!!!! NOW THEY GO TO CHURCH WITH SHORTS, TIGHT PANTS, LOW CUT TOPS, TIGHT DRESSES, SHORT SKIRTS..
Amen 🙏
No one can come to the Father except through Him
I have been blessed as a christian woman. ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS ON U - TUBE
But u need to come out from pegan worship cz Orthodox thy worship images so come out from idolity plz Jesus loves u
I really appreciate all the ladies talking about this it’s needs to be talk about so much even men need modest to.
True influencers absolutely inspiring not to mention beautiful. It truly spoke to my soul.
I am very thankful this video. Because of it, I have found sermons on your channel for head covering. I attend a Baptist church, my husband and I are 100000% SURE we are saved, and we are the only family that is unashamedly "plain" in our church and community.
What is the name of the sermons that you found on head cover. Please help.

This is so valuable. Would you please do more stories of women in your church and also their testimonies? God bless you all. And thank you to the women who participated in this.
I know this is years later but I truly enjoyed hearing everyone’s story as we all have one . I’m trying to change my life to be good in gods eyes
Wow now here are some truly heroic and courageous women!!!
I'm inspired and encouraged to examination my own modesty
Corinthians says we are to wear head coverings when we pray or prophecy (which includes giving our testimony).
I don’t wear head coverings, I dress up like the “normal” people, but this has not left me the same. It’s definitely sparked some thinking.
Thank you!! This is a very important conversation ALL WOMEN NEED TO HAVE BECAUSE IT'S SO IMPORTANT.

My first time seeing this channel on TH-cam. You all glady the hearts. Thank u all for sharing.
I absolutely love this video, thank you so much for the honest and real examples that we don't all start at %100 perfect.

Perfect timing. I've been fighting with my flesh about my headcovering. I've been contemplating and having dreams even of not wearing a covering anymore. You have different headcoverings you can wear such as a hat or a baret. Maybe you like that more.

Please tell where and how you cover your hair. With what, how you tie it, etc.
Yes it is. Ask God. It will be revealed to you.
This is a lie from Satan, attracting men to you isn't a good thing.
No matter how you dress soome man will still look.
The temptress will be judged.
What is balance for you? Your balance can be different from the balance of someone else. But, there is only One True: The Word of GOD. Women cannot wear men dress. I agree with you when you said modesty should be inside and outside. We need to glorify GOD in everything we do, act, and taught.

God Bless you all❤️
I actually cried all the time, realizing that God's love and power can't be missed.
I love the video. We need more personal testimonies, like this, to encourage all women to consider this step for Jesus. I feel especially now in these end times. I love modesty! :)
