These are all beautiful reasons to veil, I also find the blessed reasons of veiling to be a reminder that we are the bride awaiting with the lamp for the Bridegroom. And also it is a type of blessed hug from our Triune Father. (I feel under the shadow of His wing when veiled) And a type of Grace surrounds when veiled which is awe inspiring in blessed humility.😭🩷☦️

Yes, I feel way more protected since I started to veil. It’s not the veil, but a heart position. Also, like a covering of His wing!

I love the kerchief scarfs for my everyday wear and longer ones for Mass. I would be interested in knowing where to find ones, especially family owned or religious run places. Thank you and God bless ❤

Yes, the kerchief ones are great! That’s a good idea!!☺️ I wonder if Etsy might have some people who sell homemade ones. Otherwise, I know a few people on instagram who sell them as well. May God bless you too!💕

I’m Catholic and I’ve been raised to always wear a hat and gloves while out in public and a head covering in church at all times. I’m 53 and raised our daughters to do the same. I’ve begun veiling when running errands and while at home. I feel closer to God by covering my hair every day, I’m speaking with him all the time. Feels more appropriate in my opinion.

the Bible had said that you must veil when you pray and receive holy communion, it never said if you have to do it outside.

Love to see Christians practicing the visual aspects of their faith. Thanks for the info and despite your confrontations, I hope you can keep doing this practice. Quebec has become rather odd over the years sadly.

I started to attend a brethren church and started to veil about a year now. It was very new to me, but after much study I understood Gods ordinance about veiling. At first it took time to feel comfortable, but once you understand its meaning…makes it easier. I also have family that don’t understand. But I answer to God, not people. I came out of some wrong doctrinal churches, in which my Lord directed me. I thank God for his mercy and grace. It’s been 47 years of following my Lord. Never too old to grow in the Lord. Sadly, many churches do not teach on veiling. Some say it’s a cultural thing, which is not scriptural. Thanks for sharing your scarves…beautiful. I wear veils and sometimes a beret. But the veils do feel more feminine.

Thank you for sharing your story! Yes, it is sad that veiling of often stereotyped as just cultural or a sign of oppression even. I also think it’s beautiful and makes me feel more feminine!! May God bless you!💕

May God bless you, sister ❤️ I am a teenage girl, and one of the few that veil at my church! I would love to veil full-time in the future. I get critisism from my family and people I know, but veiling for me represents obedience to God and His word. When I veil I am physically reminded of who I serve and the importance of prayer in my life. May our God help us submit to Him even in the harshest times.
I love your videos, hope to see more in the future :))🩷🩷

I’ve gone back and forth with veiling because It also says her long hair is a cover. My husband is against it so I haven’t fought much on to keep peace but it still nags at my conscious

I use a scarf tied behind my neck and am one of very few in our Orthodox church. It was hard at first because i wasn’t born into the church and was deep into new age and other ideologies. But no one takes any notice within the church but outside and in my family are weirded out by it. That paired with dresses and skirts adds to their discomfort about it. I am not trying to be a spectacle or look more pious than anyone else, just felt moved to.

Thank you for sharing♥️ Yes, I can understand completely. Even though I am cradle Orthodox, half of my family isn’t Orthodox and I feel that I’m kind of the odd person because I only wear dresses and skirts anymore. I haven’t stared completely veiling yet, but I feel compelled to do so. For me it’s just a matter of finding a scarf that is comfortable for everyday wear that wouldn’t draw too much attention and wouldn’t be too warm to wear. I’ve found some headband style ones that I may try. May God bless you!!☺️💕☦️

I love veiling but got attacked and was perceive has Muslim, when I'm not ...i can only wear the veil when my husband is there for-security reason .and it still don't stop the insults, I live in Canada Quebec. showing my cross weirdly enough made them even more mad in a Christian country well it was Christian it mostly atheist and "culturally Christian" church are dead here pretty sure most of us practice at home only with online mass and do deed alone not in a church group. this is upsetting when men's think it appropriate to insult/menace been entitled to see more or attacked physically religious women's and think it ok and a big men thing to do.
i wear a mix of western and Arab dresses that are plain enough to be normal dresses basically only long dresses and long sleeve my scarfs are very colorful and i have a big bling bling cross and do wear makeup /jewelry .i remark people freak out more when my hair is completely cover and it a specific groups .40+ old mens that are celibate and atheist which is weird the other mens was about 65+ and think im some sort of invader or brainwashed by the church ,how nice of them .The other group are women and it old Muslim women getting mad when i don't cover my hair and see that i wear a cross and look modest maybe from the distance they think I'm a rebellious Muslim or something. Please be careful and watch your surrounding when you are out and veiling! People assume alot and some HATE GOD and think doing evil and hurting people with words or physically today is see has 'OK' please :BE CAREFUL 🙏🏼🧕🏼

First, I like to say that I am so sorry that this is happening to you! ❤️‍🩹 That must be pretty frightening having people attack you just based on your veil and how you are dressed. I will certainly also take caution as well. I pray that God protects you!🙏 Thank you for sharing and may God bless you!!💕

Totally agree that veiling, or hat using is less ouvert, less arrongant , because one does not want to engage into female-sexy comparison + competition that every netflix movie promotes, by the simple reason that Earth is the "cesar world" not aimed at humilty and purification required for Heaven.
May GOD❤ always bless you and your family with morepeace, love and strength.

Only a few in my church wear them and I feel like I stand out if I would not sure but I should just stick to my gut feeling and wear one. I think it’s the right way. I see it in the Russian Orthodox Church more. I’m not sure why it got lost in the Greek church at least where I go.

Yes, that is true! I also did a TH-cam short on different types of head coverings, including a hat. It should be whatever is comfortable, I grew up in the Church so I think it’s certainly more comfortable for me to do then maybe an inquirer or convert for instance.☺️

Isn’t veiling something invented by men rather than God?

    • @blessedpursuitofmotherhood
      @blessedpursuitofmotherhood  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

God has invented men and God has taught men and God has implanted in men’s hearts His Law in the sense of good and evil. So not all things done by men are contradictions of God’s Law or God’s Will.

It is known that women have veiled and covered themselves for most of history and now it’s something that has been lost in our modern days. I believe that it’s a beautiful practice that’s been forgotten.

1 Corinthians 11 talks about a women “ought” to have authority over her head, this word ought a synonym meaning “have to”. There are many arguments out there for whether or not the “covering” of the women head means a physical covering or just a metaphor, I recommend you watch the video Mike Winger has on this! He covers all the interpretations.
