When you walk in obedience under the protection of The Most High God you feel such joy. I have done everything in the 1st part of my worldly life totally my way- Now it is time to listen to the one that created me. Women that do this will not have any more worry of need. Father In Heaven takes care of his children. You are not to fear or to worry. This is the truth.
Totally agree! That was me as well walking in disobedience to the Lord doing things my way and getting nothing. Now I choose to follow Him and His commandments. Praise Jesus!
I was coming here to say that very thing. I recently came across their videos through their music and am so very blessed by their Christlike presence. I love love love that they are seeking obedience because of their love for Him. 💕
I am a Christian woman who has never worn a head covering. But I like the idea. I think it probably reminds one of their relationship to God and to others and our 'assignment" as women in this world. Bless you both.
I can't believe how a vlog that teaches how to cover a woman's hair had made me cry and even convicted. I can see the fruits of the Holy Spirit in your lives. May God continue to bless your beautiful souls!
Same here,I don't wear it...but no doubt...because we are no longer under the law,but under grace...it's as if,God gave us permission to take it off... And said...gasping...because Jesus died for your sins, the law, will no longer abide by it...we will see,if you can keep the spiritual order if things, without the outer symbols...we will see, what you make out of the order of things, because you were allowed to remove what these representations were meant to do...can man keep guard his heart, keep his flesh restrained, and contained, once the law is removed...can they resist the temptations they bring bring about one another,or will they blaspheme the holy spirit, and trample over the grace my son died for,for the world to receive, and pass on...
head covering is not biblical - it is referring to a woman having long hair and men should not have long hair that is what the text in 1st Cor. 11 is talking about...as far as I can remember prostitutes cut their hair short - so it is possible men did the opposite by growing it long. Corinthians is a book that deals with problems - like incest, drunk at the lord's supper or being a glutton, speaking in tongues, read 2nd Peter 3. 16. It was a port city which gathered people from around the world and they all brought different habits and practices with them and pagan beliefs...so women do not cover their heads ...sincerity is nice but wisdom is better
@@freeinhabitant2422 Wisdom is great if it is based on scripture- the bible is talking about long hair for woman and not a hat or covering...read the text it plainly says so
Hello, sister. God recently touched my heart to start covering my hair. It's such a meaningful action for me because of my love and appreciation for my wonderful husband. I've been married 30 years and I was defiant for a long time. So when I cover my head, I remember those years, and I am grateful for this chance to learn and grow.
Head covering is very rare in churches nowadays. It was the first thing that caught my eye on your TH-cam channel ☺️ I’m the only woman who head covers at church, so this is refreshing to see 🙂
God want the heart not material covering we don’t know how she behave behind our back , It all about relationships with Jesus , and how you live each day , these days head covering after praying women behave funny and ignorance, just be who you are in the inside out that what matter most the heart ❤️

Thank you Lindsey! Your both very helpful in sharing your faith. I have worn a head covering & very loose Clothing since 1990. I am a single Christian woman now I will be 80 Yrs old April 25th. I was born on Easter Sunday.
FINALLY, a woman speaking about this not just a man telling us how we women need to behave. Plus, I like the fact that you weren't brought up in but chose to do it AFTER reading the Bible. I've been Pentecostal for 40 years and we don't cover our heads but I could never get an explanation as to why we don't and never got a satisfactory response. I eventually decided to follow what I believe the Scriptures say. When I encounter Pentecostals (and other denominations) who don't do this and ask me why I do I respond, "I take the Bible literally, ... but not legalistically." Nice to see others who feel the same. Thanks for talking about this. It has earned you a new subscriber. 😊🙋♀️✝🇨🇦❤
@Laura-Lee - if you want to wear a head covering and are convicted, there is no problem with that, but the reason most do not is that later in the chapter Paul explains that its a shame for a man to have long hair (because if his hair is long, this is deemed a "covering"), a man is to have short hair, making it as though he is uncovered; he further explains that a woman should have long hair, because her hair is given to her as a covering (a woman's hair, when long, is given to her as a the covering). Paul is addressing issues that have come from the Jews and the Gentiles being at odds in their practices. The Jews made an agreement for example with God in the Hebrew Scriptures that they would not eat Ham (animals with cloven hoof), and they also try and put this requirement onto Gentiles who made no such agreement before God (Paul deals with these types of issues a lot through his letters). Vows and covenants before God are taken very seriously, so the Jews are bound to the agreements they made as a nation directly with God - where as Gentiles made no such agreement. There is no Jew, no Greek or man, or women when it comes to the atonement and justification for sin - but in regards to sanctification, the aspect of separating ourselves in our conduct, behaviour, etc, is a separate issue. To desire to abide by certain covenant agreements that were made specifically between Jews/ Israelite's and God is no issue whether that's the sabbath, food laws, etc - it only becomes an issue if we make it law. I can't elaborate much more without making this majorly long - but this does not mean that the Gentiles are without a requirement for sanctification, the scriptures make it clear that we are to be separate from the world and James refers to a "royal law".
@@Prayer_Notes77 It depends if you want to get grafted in The Kingdom everyone does the same after you are baptized and grafted in. After you are grafted in there are no differences everyone is the same and should follow & honor the scriptures.
@@Prayer_Notes77you have to understand the customs of the day. Back then women were admired visually by men. The head covering was to prevent unnecessary attention. Modest dress prevents men from sinning as well as preventing them from giving unwanted attention. Widows and married women did this normally naturally. But this was also added for the younger women who were not yet married to prevent unwanted attention. As this wonderful woman has stated it's not about a law demanding you cover your head. It is a personal conviction. It is between an individual and God Almighty himself. If you do not wish to wear one and God has not convinced you to wear one, then don't. It is not about a misunderstanding. The scriptures that she spoke and the ones just after seem to contradict in a way but they do not. Many think this custom was to oppress women and humble them. That is not the purpose although we are too humble ourselves before God we do not humble ourselves before man. This is not about a woman being less than a man as many people think but about protecting the woman from men. Simply study it out for yourself and ask God to guide you and then move with what he tells you. It's that simple. Plus the reason there is no difference between a Jew and a gentile is because they are all one. They all have the same God, the same covenant, the laws of the Old testament are put in our heart, we all worship the same God in the same way. This includes the Sabbath, the feast days, the food laws which are actually health laws, the hygiene laws unless of course you don't wash your hands, etc. These laws and statutes and judgments were made for man not for a specific culture not for a specific nation. If we are to be grafted in we become Israel. When a child is adopted into a family they are no longer an outsider but they are part of that family. We are adopted children into God's family. There are not two separate rules for the people of God. Study the word and may God bless your studies. Ask for the spirit as the spirit will lead you into all truth. Submit yourself unto God. Humble yourself before God and he will lift you up.
The first sentence was a bit off-putting and an attack on men. It shouldn't matter if a man or a woman tells us, women, how to behave. What matters is if it's biblical or not.
Thank you! I have covered my head for years with much grief from others. It doesn’t hurt me anymore , but it encourages me to stay covered. I’ve been told that I have been following the law and that I’m wrong. I disagree. I believe that I follow my Lord. Living as GOD has wants me to do. Worst case scenario I have lived a life covering my head, I meet the Lord and I tell him that I did this because that’s what your word said. Where is the harm in it? The other side is that I never did it; I never covered my head and the Lord asked me why! I have no answer for that. I’m not changed because I covered my head to honor my husband, I cover my hair because I love God. I’m at peace! That’s all that matters to me. May you guys be blessed. There will always be contentions over this, I don’t judge those they do not. I’m just asking that aside live out my faith, let me live it to the glory of God. Bless you
That’s how I feel about wearing dresses and being modest. I want to please the Lord and feel it does. You should hear a sermon on TH-cam from Rev. Lee Stoneking called, The Power of a woman’s uncut hair! ♥️
I love what you wrote. This has impacted me in a very profound way. Thank you ladies for being Titus 2 women. I have none in my life, but I have many daughters. Please pray for me.
I can definitely relate! Our journey started the same as their's- order in our marriage and home. I started regular covering about a year ago. The moment my immediate family found out, their distancing and odd behavior began, even though I nvr brought it up. They asked and I simply stated its what i and my husband felt God had led me and my daughters to do based on what I read on the scriptures and in our walk to draw closer to Him. God knew what I needed and previously He sent me 2 amazing friends. During this time they didnt ridicule. They still dont cover but they respect it and have since told me that they see a change. Not that a piece of cloth can do it, but it was a public attestation of the truth and love that I was and am actively seeking and by doing so I have been humble enough to change
@@Blessednesting I dont think God has led me personally to only wear dresses and skirts, but I have started dressing more modestly and purchased more of the 2items. Are there scriptures that you would recommend?
@@royaltm3420 Definitely let the Lord lead you but Deuteronomy 22:5 tells us that it is an abomination for a woman to wear anything that pertains to a man and vice versa. They’re are now womens pants but how do we typically identify a woman? It’s like the enemy is trying and has blurred the lines in order to recreate and eliminate Gods order of creation. I personally believe that our hair being uncut is the first order of submission and then the rest follows as far as the distinction and order of the sexes in attire and attitude. Hope that makes sense. ♥️
Thank you for reminding me of this scripture. As a child and teen in the 50’s and 60’s I always wore a hat to church and covered my head with a scarf because I was taught to do this by my mother and grandmother. I am now in my late 60’s and should start doing this again to show my Niece who lives with me how to respect God , her husband and herself.

I love how your husband sat down with you and did alot of the talking. Too often, it can be a “it’s her dept” type of thing. You both came at it as a team... I just love the support for you and leadership it shows!
I just happened to come upon your music and tutorials and was so blessed. You are beautiful people and the children too. I came out of years of “religion” not relationship with Jesus but have found Him, He found me, and what a difference this has been. Thank you for ministering to me. Lorraine Dixon
I love the "woven" explination. Its a beautiful picture of how its not about "dominance". Thats hard for me to get over since I fought against beingwhat I thought was "subservient" to males for many years before I really knew Jesus. But when I met him it was nothing but love. I give Jesus controll now and he has showed me over time and many angles that he made man for one role and woman for another. Its not about controlling its about good order that produces best results.
Thank you for this. The Holy Spirit led me to this vlog because I've been feeling that God wants me to start wearing a head covering as part of the next steps in my faith journey. i don't know anyone who wears one, nor do i know anyone who feels that God wants them to wear one. The feeling of the need for obedience to this request from God has been getting increasingly strong over the past year. I've never heard from anyone else for whom the head covering was part of their faith journey. Im so glad you shared this. The scriptures on this subject call out to me. Its time. Thank you for giving me the nudge i needed.....and the confirmation that i wasn't misinterpreting the scripture or the call to action from God. God bless you all

@@everlastthomas2092 if you study the original text, you'll see that there are 3 types of covering in 1 Corinthians 11, and 3 different words in Greek for these: - spiritual covering which is the husband and the husband's covering is God. - natural covering which is a woman's unshorn or unshaved hair. - veil and that is for authority and power on the head because of the angels. @@KingsDaughter1988 This is what I found: Head coverings is something I personally agonised over for years. I have always taken the Bible literally, that’s to say, I took the RSV literally, and the RSV contains this verse: “For if a woman will not veil herself, then she should cut off her hair; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her wear a veil” (1 Cor. 11:6 RSV). And this, “That is why a woman ought to have a veil on her head, because of the angels” (1 Cor. 11:10 RSV). [There is no Greek noun that means “veil” in these verses. But I didn’t know that.] SIGN/SYMBOL One factor to consider when interpreting 1 Corinthians 11:2-16 is that there is no Greek word that means “sign” or “symbol” in 1 Corinthians 11:10. (There is also no word that means “veil.”) Several translations, however, add these words. For example, the ESV has, “This is why a woman should have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.” The King James translates verse 10 more accurately as “For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.” The Greek word exousia, which is translated as “authority” in the ESV and “power” in the KJV, can also mean “right” or “freedom.” 1 Corinthians 11:10 may mean that a woman has the right or the freedom over her own head; that is, she has the right to decide how to present her head while keeping in mind Paul’s concerns about reputation and the enigmatic angels. These “angels” may not have been divine messengers but human messengers who were reporting to others about the behaviour of the Corinthian Christians. What were the Corinthians up to?

A woman's long hair IS her covering. "Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. 1 Corinthians 11:14,15
Long hair kept in a manly way is accepted. In the Bible where Jesus is from men would take a Nazarite Vow to grow there hair long. Paul talked against men with long hair at the time because of what was going on in society at the time with the long hair feminine men dressed like women. I have found men in Bible with long hair but no scripture where a Israelite, Nazarite or Judean man had to keep his hair a certain length besides Pauls'' message to the pretty boys in church. I am always open to learning more. I got the information about it from a 50 year clergy member that has traveled the world to all the Holy places. @@josie4peace

Dear Lindsey, I just want to say thank you for being an encouragement. I found this channel recently through your music and it's really blessed me. I've been walking with the Lord for a little over a year now and I had never really understood 1 Corinthians 11 until coming across your video and another wonderful sister who covers... Both of you led me to really seek God over this. I feel led to cover now but I'm still learning and I think I'm struggling with NOT being legalistic with myself about it. I've even felt confused as to if I should show my hair at all. Please pray for me to do everything only out of a pure heart and that God will keep changing my heart in what's pleasing to Him and that I will have clarity and the peace that God gives. It's definitely counter-cultural, even in our Christian culture and I want to do just what His Word says to be a light and not a stumbling block to others.
I'm so glad you said you don't want to pass judgement on others. I grew up in a religion where women HAD to cover their hair in church. I left that religion and became a Christian. I use to wear a headscarf to church at times because my hair was a mess. Once a women at church said I know why you wear the head scarf, you were a Muslim. I never wore it again!
Hi Kathryn, I am so very pleased to hear a young woman wants to know more about modesty dressing. This is purely my perception and possibly the thoughts of many other young or older women. To me modesty dressing is, appropriate for or in a couple of ways. Not showing off your bust, your almost full legs and just mainly dressing sensible. Keeping most of your body covered will also save you from getting what I have, basal cell carcinoma. It is a form of skin cancer. I was silly when I was able to choose how I dressed and like most teens and women in their 20s and 30s, like to 'fit in' with their age group. I can understand that. I am 57 this year and I like to dress modestly but still keeping in with what is trendy. I look for colors and pattens and style. I love to always cover my legs as I don't like them on show so I love to wear jeggings or leggings and sometimes jeans or sweat pants, espescially in the winter months. My tops I like oversized T-Shirts with a trendy-ish look. I will also wear low cut but not too low, blouses. When I do this I like to wear a vest that covers my bust and cleavage. I also wear hoodies that are beautiful with glitter and unicorns or fairies lol. I also like to look respectable when going to funerals or weddings so I will dress suitable for the occaission, long ankle length dresses or skirts and a shawl that is either sheer, colorful and has patterns or butterflies and flowers. Sorry for it being so lengthy but I hope this helps. Good day to you. God bless you & your family.
Hi Kathryn, modesty to me is keeping your body mostly covered for only your husband to see. Low tops showing cleavage or lots of the breast to me isn't modest. Ultra tight, short dresses also show too much in my mind. I have worn short dresses but wore dark leggings or black pantyhose with high boots. I had to laugh when 1 guy said to me, you look great but I can't see any skin!!! 😂 it was winter so of course I wanted to stay warm.
I wear higher neck tank tops under a lot of my dresses. If the dresses are knee-length, I wear Capri legging or ankle length under them. I still wear cute sandals or cute sneakers.
I'm so blessed to see and hear your message. At our church we women cover our heads for services and fellowship etc and dress modestly because of what is stated in God's word. I'm happy to see that you all are keeping the standards that God's word has set out. God bless.

Loved this so much ❤ I have been covering my head since I experienced a personal encounter with the Holy Spirit when I was being taught about the subject. I have experienced so much power eversince. For me head coverings are a sign of humility and obedience. When we cover our glory (hair) we allow for God's glory to be revealed and admired. May the Lord be glorified in all we do!
My grandmothers always wore a covering to church and were differnt denominations. There is a blessing and protection that goes with it. Women are so rebellious now and wonder why they are miserable.
Love how you explained our roles as women vs men. Sometimes women don’t realize how much power there is in submission. I am a Pentecostal Apostolic Pastors wife and our belief is that having uncut hair is our God given covering and that cutting it is uncovering that God given covering. And it definitely correlates with Gods order of submission. I would love to personally share with you an experience I had regarding this. Blessings ♥️

It goes on to say that the hair has been given to the woman for a covering. It's the hair that covers the head of a woman, and that's a glory to her. God bless you.
Thank you for adding that clarification: 13 Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, 15 but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering.
@@cantstandanymorez hair is not a covering when a woman prophesies or prays. "1 Corinthians 11:5 "Every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven." Hair is not a covering when prophesying nor praying because Paul makes it clear that if a woman prays or prophesies with her head uncovered then she must be shorn. That's in 1 Corinthians 11:6

Thank you for this video. My (now) husband led me to the Lord Jesus several years ago, and we began studying the bible together (we still study together daily, and have been married almost 7 years.) I had come from a very worldly background, and had a hard time grasping the difference between value and authority. My attitude was "Why should he lead our marriage, wasn't I just as important to God?" In due time God softened my heart and I woke one morning with "Oh, it's an authority issue!" on my lips. lol As you can imagine, our marriage has gotten much better since then. Just found your channels today, and am glad I did. May God bless you and your family very deeply.
I love this video and your reason for covering is Biblical 🙏🏽😊… I love what you said at the end about having our identity solely in Christ✝️♥️🌷Amen! I’ve been covering when praying or speaking to others about God (and in public) for almost 8 years now… I love it🙏🏽. Thank you so much for your video… you and your family are such a blessing.
I love your music. I have become much more picky about music over the years and what I let in as worship/praise musically. You have a beautiful voice! God Bless and keep you well!
I love your explanation of covering your 'glory' as being a woman's hair is her glory. That is the clearest explanation I've ever heard. Thank you! I love tuning in every once in awhile. I live in Canada, in the province of Ontario. I have a niece who follows your vlogs too. Your music is wonderful.
A woman's long hair IS her covering. "Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering." 1 Corinthians 11:14,15
Your reasoning is so perfect and beautiful. I was born again 12 years ago too. After reading the head covering statements in Scripture, I also started wearing a covering when I pray, because I want to be pleasing to God in all things and also a light to the sisters in Yeshua.. Thank you for your videos and your love for our Holy Father and Son Yeshua and the Ruach ha Hodesh. I love your music too! God bless you both and family more!
Why is this such a contentious issue? People who don't cover are so passionate to get those who do to stop. What does it matter if I cover and others don't? I was informed at my first church that it was not a practice they would encourage and if I wanted to know why they would explaine it to me. People should not even notice such things. It is a woman's choice and, and not her identity in Chris, just as you said. Bless you both and thank you. X
This channel just popped up sometime last week. At first, I was hesitant, because I had never watched any videos by this couple before (I don't just watch anything, I'm very selective, especially these days), but I decided I would watch the video that had come up. I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't as I thought it would be. What I love is the love and heart for the Lord they have and the love they have for each other. Its very rare to find these days, but so refreshing to see.
Don’t argue over doctrine. This is their conviction. All that matters is what’s in their heart. Is their heart pure or is it corrupt. These are some of the most humblest meek people I’ve seen on TH-cam sharing the gospel on Jesus Christ. Thank you for sharing and I thank God for your transparency and willingness to share with others what you all believe in. 😊
I don't cover my head and I don't plan to start. However, I love your heart for Jesus and the humble way you walk out you're faith. I like how you talked about Grace and that you don't not fellowship with other Christians just because they don't cover their heads. You are a beautiful sister in Christ!
The issue at Corinth was not whether long or short hair was an acceptable covering, but whether or not the head was covered with a veil or hat. This is proven by the following: ----"Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head" (v. 4). The distinction here is obviously not between short and long-haired brethren, but rather between men with covered and uncovered heads. Contentious sisters were provided with an alter native: either cover the head or be shorn or shaven ( v. 6). But if long hair were the intended covering, then the Apostle's alternative is meaningless. "Cover" ( -ed, -ing) in the A.V. disguises the fact that different words for "to cover" are used in the Greek text. The distinction between two of these, "katakalupto" and "peribolaion" proves that a veil or head covering, and not long hair is intended. These words are as follows: "Katakalupto" ( 'kata' = 'fully'; 'kalupto' = 'to cover up'), "to cover fully" ( Yg). This word occurs through out verses 5- 13 and is translated "veil" in the R.S.V.; Nestle and Marshall's "Interlinear Greek-English New Testament'' and many other versions. These translations make it plain that the issue relates to a head covering, not the growth of hair, long or short. "Peribolaion" ('peri' = 'around'; 'ballo' = 'to throw, cast'), "something cast around" ( Y g). The long hair of a woman is her glory - like a mantle cast around ( v. 15) .(8) But this is not to be displayed in the assembly of believers before the presence of God. The intended covering in the ecclesial meeting is the "katakalupto" ---- the head covering or veil. When Paul refers to the long hair given to the woman as her glory, he is drawing a parallel with what "nature" or common-sense suggests. This can be seen from the following: MAN long hair is degrading. WOMAN long hair is her glory. Therefore. a parallel is evident [natural] with the spiritual a man ought not to cover his head a woman ought to cover her head.
@@Oshuare Hi! I wish Bracken and Lindsay had finished reading the whole chapter of 1 Corinthians 11 because when we read further down in this chapter we read that Paul says if anyone is still in disagreement about whether or not a woman should cover her head, to know that in the church of God we have no such custom. The church was arguing over a custom. The bible teaches that we are to obey God and not man. (Acts 5:29) We are to obey God’s commandments and not the traditions of men. Pat SDA Thank you Pat. I appreciate your humble response. I truly believe we have the same Spirit, Savior and God. He will lead us in all things. I go to Him when I have unanswered questions, because unfortunately, men do not always have the answers. I truly pray and yearn that we all do that. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6. I am still learning about Him. I do not know all things, but He does. May God bless and engrace you richly. I love you with the Love of Christ in me. Thank you again.
This is so beautiful! Plus you aren't judgmental and so loving for those going through this life growing in our faith. My mother(a preachers wife) always said to pray and fast about it. Love and prayers for you all!
You're a lovely Christian family, & I can appreciate your beliefs in interpreting the Word literally, as too many want to make the Word fit their desires rather than taking the Word literally, as you do. I am an old woman and wore a headcovering (hat) for over 40 years of my life. I believe whole heartedly in what the Word says about long hair being a woman's glory & how we should wear a headcovering when we pray. However, I can't help but wonder if when we set ourselves apart in too many ways by how we dress etc., if it does make others feel we are judging them even when that isn't the intention.... but, that is a decision we all have to make for ourselvea as we seek the Lord's will in our lives. So I don't say that to condemn you in any way. In desiring to win people to the Lord, my opinion is that we can still dress like a woman or man of God should before the Lord without wearing dresses down to our ankles etc. But again, that is just MY opinion & I'm sure there are many others. You are such lovely Christians and doing what you feel is God's will, and I praise the Lord when I see your kind of conviction in anyone! I would love to be your neighbor and be like an extra grandma to your beautiful family! The way you are bringing them up, they will surely be true men of God as His promise to us says that if we bring up our children in they ways of the Lord, when they are old they will not depart from it. I hold onto that promise for my grandchilden and great-grandchildren as I'm sure you do, too, for your lovely family! Be blessed, and thank you for being such a wonderful testimony to the Love of our Savior Jesus Christ. We need more of it in this day and age when we are fighting against principalities and powers we know not of! Thank you for sharing with us!

Beautiful video. The women in my congregation also have convictions about our hair, dress and our adornment. The way you explained this is wonderful and I appreciate you. It’s about Jesus, not about hair or clothing. The love for Him and growth in Him will affect those things, but we can never let them replace Him. Blessings to y’all.

Looks like he has a pure heart. Unlike some married men who claim to be Christian, go to church, pray, read the Bible and still check out every female that walks by. Sick lustful husbands, shame on them. She is so lucky to have a husband like him who is a true Christian. 😊
You have said it so very well. So refreshing to see and hear of your precious walk with the Lord. Sometimes we feel so lost in this age and lonely...again so refreshing.
I love your explanation of not being legalistic about it. I’m the same way about praying in bed. Holy Spirit convicted me to head cover about a year ago when I asked how I could work on my pride/control issues. It took about 2 months of daily reminders before I submitted and it was so freeing. I also feel more beautiful than before and my husband, now that he is used to it, like when he gets to see my hair down when we are alone. Head covering is a wonderful symbol that God is in charge and I don’t have to do all of the mental work for my family.

I appreciate your humility and approach to this topic and your faith practice. We can all learn by your example. Thank you for modeling Christian behavior within a diverse faith community.
Your explanation is exactly correct regarding God's order. I cannot see anything faulty at all in this explanation. I seek to understand God accurately and this warms my heart.
I like the way you explained the natural order betwem God. Man, and woman. Just to add... even though the husband is the head, in service to his wife his duty is: to love her, to provide for her, to protect her and lay down his life for her. This is just the opposite of what the world believes being the head is. What women wouldnt want to submit to an awesome Godly man?
As a person with beliefs aligned with nobody in my area, probably nobody in my state, it’s so nice to feel I connect with somebody. I know you’d hate me and my life, but I appreciate watching from afar and inspiring my life (which of course bleeds over into my son’s life). Thank you!

head covering is not biblical - it is referring to a woman having long hair and men should not have long hair that is what the text in 1st Cor.

Nice to see others who feel the same.
I cover my head :) It has to do with obedience and overall protection.
Bless you

I enjoyed everything about this from the message, the way you both sat down together in your home, to the music. It would be such a blessing if you picked a topic from the bible to cover like this every week.
I enjoyed it too. But every week would be a bit much I think, (they have some other things to do also ;-) ).
Oh that's awe just simple I LOVE it God bless
I love how your husband sat down with you and did alot of the talking. Too often, it can be a “it’s her dept” type of thing. You both came at it as a team... I just love the support for you and leadership it shows!
I just happened to come upon your music and tutorials and was so blessed. You are beautiful people and the children too. I came out of years of “religion” not relationship with Jesus but have found Him, He found me, and what a difference this has been. Thank you for ministering to me. Lorraine Dixon
Yes, I admired that too. God bless this couple and family
So so true. although I wish it was not so.
What a great biblical example these two are. ty
God bless you all
It’s so very nice to see a Truly balanced family. Whether the mother has her head covered or not that’s not the big question or the answer. Their family is a family America doesn’t have very many families like this anymore. I give you praise and glory and thanksgiving and God bless your family
Love your family and love your heart. You explained the biblical reason so well. And even though I do not wear a covering I truly appreciate the explanation. I am so thankful to God that your channel is here for us believers as encouragement. I hope you are strengthened in Him and continue the race steadfast full of wisdom. If I don’t meet you all here on Earth, see you in Heaven!!

I'm a young girl new to head covering. So how much of it exactly do we have to cover?? All of my hair?? Or partially like this woman in the video?
@@gabriellameattray9778 we do not cover a womans head---the text is referring to long hair - a woman should have long hair - but in pauls time it was probably a cultural issue - prostitutes may have had short hair s0 be careful how you misapply cultural issues that are not in existence today...a man shoud not have his head covered - the text says the covering is her long hiar...so don't get fanantical

A sweet spirit in this video, thank you. A woman's hair is her natural covering- her femininity. The physical headcovering is her spiritual covering.

Head covering is the woman's hair not head clothing. Read verse 15.
@@everlastthomas2092 if you study the original text, you'll see that there are 3 types of covering in 1 Corinthians 11, and 3 different words in Greek for these:
- spiritual covering which is the husband and the husband's covering is God.
- natural covering which is a woman's unshorn or unshaved hair.
- veil and that is for authority and power on the head because of the angels. Shalom!
@@KingsDaughter1988
Ok let me look into that.
@@KingsDaughter1988
This is what I found:
Head coverings is something I personally agonised over for years. But I didn’t know that.]
SIGN/SYMBOL
One factor to consider when interpreting 1 Corinthians 11:2-16 is that there is no Greek word that means “sign” or “symbol” in 1 Corinthians 11:10. (There is also no word that means “veil.”) Several translations, however, add these words. For example, the ESV has, “This is why a woman should have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.” The King James translates verse 10 more accurately as “For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.”
The Greek word exousia, which is translated as “authority” in the ESV and “power” in the KJV, can also mean “right” or “freedom.” 1 Corinthians 11:10 may mean that a woman has the right or the freedom over her own head; that is, she has the right to decide how to present her head while keeping in mind Paul’s concerns about reputation and the enigmatic angels. These “angels” may not have been divine messengers but human messengers who were reporting to others about the behaviour of the Corinthian Christians. What were the Corinthians up to?
I appreciate the way you encourage others to search the scriptures to learn truth.
I am not even 2 minutes in and I am genuinely impressed with the peace and understanding you bring forth. You have a very Orthodox approach to you and God’s grace in your lives in palpable through the screen here. Thank you, may God grant you many years !!!
Just started the journey of covering my head, because it's a conviction from my heart, it's not been easy but am trying to follow Biblical teachings so started covering my head in prayer but then I started wearing it everywhere because I leave prayerful life right now and can pray anytime anywhere so I decided to cover my hear always be cause it makes it easy to pray anytime for me ,I admire the way you live and am happy to see people doing or following the same path am following .May God bless you both your such an encouragement for me .
The protection and honor that you feel when you leave the house with your head covered is a very peaceful and spiritual thing.
I got the information about it from a 50 year clergy member that has traveled the world to all the Holy places.

please could you explain the angels part, is it to show them whos authority is over you or what?
@@jessicaraqia6693 It is a sign for angels that we as women are obedient to our Lord and acknowledge His authority over us. It is a distinct sign that sets us apart as daughters of God. See 1 Peter 1:12, Ephesians 3:10. As servants of God, Angels watch us and accomplish different missions that God assigns them (see the story of Cornelius in Acts 10). Shalom!

Dear Lindsey,
I just want to say thank you for being an encouragement.
How is your journey going with this?? Your thoughts have reflected mine as well over the past several months.. God bless you!
Could you talk about modesty sometime, I want to understand it better . It’s something I’m very interested in .
Hello how are you doing 😊😊😊
God bless.
That’s why being a good and honorable man is so important. Men are to lead a family, if the man is not leading with integrity, his wife will follow and his entire family after them. Raise honorable boys and girls so that they become good humans, full of integrity and the Grace of God. Thank you for sharing 💕
so true
So true. However, if men fail to lead women are not obliged to follow onto diverse paths away from God. She has her autonomy to stay with the Savior.
@@suem6004 also a woman if they pray when their husband is straying away God will listen to the wife and the wife will be answered by God it is a promise in the bible although I'm not sure exactly where it is found because I haven't studied it very far because I'm 13 and I don't have to worry about that yet
You explained this beautifully! My husband and i strive to live this way as well. Blessings!

Love how you explained our roles as women vs men. Sometimes women don’t realize how much power there is in submission. X

Yes. It's just hair and just cloth. Yep.
The issue at Corinth was not whether long or short hair was an acceptable
covering, but whether or not the head was covered with a veil or hat. This
is proven by the following:
----"Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth
his head" (v. 4). The distinction here is obviously not between short and
long-haired brethren, but rather between men with covered and uncovered
heads.
Contentious sisters were provided with an alter native: either cover the
head or be shorn or shaven ( v. 6). But if long hair were the intended
covering, then the Apostle's alternative is meaningless.

"to cover" are used in the Greek text.
The distinction between two of these, "katakalupto" and "peribolaion" proves
that a veil or head covering, and not long hair is intended. These words are
as follows:
"Katakalupto" ( 'kata' = 'fully'; 'kalupto' = 'to cover up'), "to cover
fully" ( Yg). This word occurs through out verses 5- 13 and is translated
"veil" in the R.S.V.; Nestle and Marshall's "Interlinear Greek-English New
Testament'' and many other versions.
These translations make it plain that the issue relates to a head covering,
not the growth of hair, long or short.
"Peribolaion" ('peri' = 'around'; 'ballo' = 'to throw, cast'), "something
cast around" ( Y g). The long hair of a woman is her glory - like a mantle
cast around ( v. 15) .(8) But this is not to be displayed in the assembly of
believers before the presence of God. The intended covering in the ecclesial
meeting is the "katakalupto" ---- the head covering or veil.
When Paul refers to the long hair given to the woman as her glory, he is
drawing a parallel with what "nature" or common-sense suggests.
This can be seen from the following:
MAN long hair is degrading.
WOMAN long hair is her glory.
Therefore. a parallel is evident [natural] with the spiritual a man ought
not to cover his head a woman ought to cover her head.
(Col 2:8) Also, Paul, in that same chapter, says a woman’s hair is her covering. (1 Cor 11:15-16) We can't take one scripture and make a whole doctrine out of it. We are to study line upon line...(Isaiah 28:10) We are to search the scriptures as for hidden treasure (Prov 2:1-4) God bless.
@@earnestlycontendingforthef5332 I don't think the bible teaches that a man with long hair is degrading because what about those men who made nazarite vows where they grew out their hair and only cut it until their vow was over? For some, they made a vow for life. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6.
Somethings are different for each persons journey and our relationship with Christ can be different from person to person. You are very inspiring and God will bless you all abundantly for it! Love and prayers for you all!
Hello how are you doing?
🙏 Awesome family , thanks for always inspiring us...
We are Christians from the Philippines.🙏
One of the best videos I have ever watched on this topic... I just loved the way you both approached it, handled it and ended it. Love the humility... So so blessed! Thank you so much.. All the way from Latvia :)
Beautifully said and very inspired by your obedience to Our Father!
You have blessed me and helped me with the headcoverings. I now qear one everyday. And the Lord has surely blessed. So thank you for being a light and blessing me and my family. I have 3 little ones, am a stay at home mom and homeschool. We are a family that is in ministry. And you have helped me to do that despite what anyone thinks. What matters is what God thinks. May God Bless you!
Lindsey, your beautiful spirit beams as you explain your choices in your journey as a follower of Jesus and a child of God.
Bracket (sorry if I didnt spell your name corectly, english is second language for me ) is a very kind and gentle man. Not all christhian men are like him.
Looks like he has a pure heart. Unlike some married men who claim to be Christian, go to church, pray, read the Bible and still check out every female that walks by. Sick lustful husbands, shame on them. She is so lucky to have a husband like him who is a true Christian. 😊
True
Amen Lindsay, thanks for sharing. Indeed our identity is in Christ. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing your why with us! I've always wondered, and now have something new to ponder in the scripture. (That happens regularly!!)
Praise God! Amen HalleluYah! Thank You Sister for the wonderful & Awesome Definition abt the covering. Really it's Gud for every women to wear it. i love it. Thank You both for the Gospel mge. God Bless You & Your Family! Shalom!
I can't believe how strong the Holy Spirit comes through in this video. You are both the epitome of godly beauty. Your understanding of head coverings is SO balanced. You are a wonderful example to me. I just subscribed. I may not meet you in this life, but I'll do so in heaven. Keep on with Christ!
Thank you!
Hate u?? Why do u think that? I can tell they hate no one. That’s the devil telling u a LIE. Rebuke it n cast ur cares on He Who made u n died for u.
I SIMPLY LOVE YOU , I see Christ in all of your members of your family. You are highly treasured and loved.
With more true and sincere hearts like yours guys, this world would already be a Heaven on Earth!
