Still one of the best SNES songs to hear after all these years. I remember back in 2008 when I had a different YT account, there was a video of this song on which I posted a comment which said "lee's theme is shit". I meant for it to say "lee's theme is the shit" but I forgot to put in the word "the", and this was back before we were able to edit our comments. anyway, someone who saw the comment replied saying "you mean "The Shit" right? That's what you better mean", and I replied back saying "that's exactly what I mean". Those were the days.
Many people says Robert's face was inspired in Steven Seagal but in my opinion, in this picture, he looks like Van Damme when he played as " Alex " in " Double Impact".
This song is amazing! Watching gameplay videos and listening to the music has caused me to severely regret not getting this game a couple of years ago. With a name like "Art of Fighting" I thought it was just some throw-away SNES game competing with Street Fighter 2.
its strange that i enjoyed video games in the 90's more than i do now. I think now you just now and expect the games to be good because of the technology, but back then you had to wait and play it to find out. sometimes the graphics were great, but the game play was crap, and vice versa. sometimes both sucked, but the music was great. You never knew what you would get, sometimes everything was dead on. I miss those days.
I had never played the Art of Fighting games with the exception of AOF3, and I heard this BGM in a MUGEN fight video and decided to check it out. It's pretty catchy.
The sounds in the arcade version were better, but the way they subtly rewrote and rearranged practically all the music improved it I think. They put melodies in where the arcade just had weird sounds.
Never looked at the cover art closely but always thot the hand of the guy in blue gettin kicked was the hand of the guy in black. I thot it was a denim vest he wore ober the blacknshirt. And maybe those were alternate clothes lol
This is one of my favourite theme from Art of Fighting. Mad Martigen, do you played this game, too?? :) Btw. I uploaded this theme yesterday, too but I "mixed" it a little bit. It´s still the same theme, but you will here the difference ;) Just look for "art of fighting lee theme SEPARATE INSTRUMENTS" Thank you guys :)
Ncogniigro I think you got that backwards my friend. SNK squated on Capcom as fighting games, and soundtrack. Capcom might've established the genre, but SNK elevated it. True facts.
This is an inaccurate statement. Capcom may have had a solid, near perfect game with Street Fighter II and was more fun than Fatal Fury but games such as KOF, Real Bout and the like were much more fun than games such as Street Fighter Alpha 1-3.
Who the hell would call this bad?! This is fucking badass for snes!
I fucking agree with you mate, Childhood great times 💪

SNES has a great rendition of this theme.
This and Mr. Big's theme is some of the best video game music out there.. This is great stuff..
I know this is years ago, but I swear I can hear that as a real song. RNB/pop. Bruno Mars sh-t with the right instruments.
Mr Boy’s theme.
I loved Mickey's theme. I didn't realize the SNES had different versions until I was looking up some KOF music and saw the difference
Truly great stuff indeed.🙂👊

The fighting mechanics and even characters in SNK games were far ahead of Capcom
Steven Seagal
In "The Path of the Warrior (AOF3)" game, the resemblance is amazing.
