This best version of this song from a visual and audio perspective, the backup girls were incredibly important in this song, and Lou is magnificent, Thanks for posting!
This song brings back good memories. I had just enlisted in the USAF and was at Lackland AFB, Texas The first time I had ever heard this song we were out marching and marched by someone playing the radio. This song was playing and I loved it. I am now 75 years old and I still like it.
They are the Blackberries ~ think "Tumbling Dice" and the entire "Exile On Main St" lp. But this is the studio cut this YT poster has put over the live vocals. This video is available on YT with the LIVE vocals, and it's excellent.
C'est bizarre; cette chanson n'appartient à aucun style musical; mais elle m'obsède il y a des semaines je l'écoute 10 fois point je n'ai jamais entendu à la radio en France point je l'ai découverte à la radio en 1994 en Floride point un bijou
Ffs, why are the comments switched on if you just delete them? I just said that they were miming the 66 original & mentioned that it's a song about a guy who cheats & messes his woman about!! Sheesh. Lou looks gorgeous here though, must be that beard.
Here's the live audio version (May 17, 1974) you appear to be wanting: th-cam.com/video/6ePet-A_l64/w-d-xo.html As for why to pair the studio audio with live visuals, the obvious answer is that there are plenty of people who are nostalgic for the original version of a song while also wanting to see the artist, instead of looking at a still image throughout the entire song. On that note, you will want to avoid my own channel, as I do that a lot.
One of the girls...The girl extreme right...Is the one and only.. GORGEOUS CLYDIE KING! Clydie had a ' thing' with Bob Dylan... Clydie? No longer with us...Sleep well Princess...
I think they are Clyde King, Shirley Matthews and Vanetta Fields. Very in-demand backup singers in 70's...Steely Dan always had them on one or two songs per album.

Lou had some great back up singers this time. Special occasion, special singers.

That is not the Midnight Special audio track. Why do this?

Lou Christie wouldn't desecrate this Midnight Special performance, which can be heard on another channel, btw.
The young lady in the yellow outfit looks like a young Aunt Ester From Sanford and son.
Watch it sucker!
No she doesn’t.
Nope, that is the late Clydie King. Superb backup singer.
You fish eye fool!
Hi! Is anyone knows who are those 3 back vocals ladies group? They sound great!
you can't hear them. It's not the right audio.

Try STEREO sound output... It's brilliant!
