- Gym intimidation is real, and it can be very difficult for many of us to overcome. It’s something I struggled with, too, when I first got started, and I know how incredibly overwhelming it can be.
But I also know that it’s something you can get past, with the right guidance, and nowadays the gym is a part of who I am, and I am so much better for pushing past my fears.

I like to work out in very early mornings. It happens to be when all the serious gym bros are there. They eye women with such hostility.....if you are fat, skinny, plain, pretty....doesn't matter. They give off such a mean-ass vibe like "What are you doing on our turf?!"
It is hard to be comfortable when the hate vibe is there. I am trying to just look ahead, listen to my music, not talk, not make eye contact....still, I kind of understand now why "women only" gyms were a nice answer to this. I used to think they were silly but now I wish they would come back. Maybe not be "women only" but be all pastel and shit so the "wanna be alpha"-he-man-woman-haters would stay far away.
Ugh, I'm so sorry you experience this when you're working out. Some people can be the worst and really ruin a good gym experience. You deserve to be there just as much as they do
