  • Part 1 of welding up the torque box reinforcement kit from LMR into a New Edge Mustang. Welding upper and lower factory torque box seams to make the rear suspension mounting points stronger. This will be an 800hp street/strip car with Twin Turbo LS swap and Th400 with Trans Brake.

I came across your channel at the perfect time. I originally followed for your 4l80 builds and the Jake’s trans brake video, but the reason I looked that stuff up is because I’m currently doing an LS swap on a 99 v6 Mustang. Going to be a 6.0 with a 4l80e and a Vortec V3sci supercharger. I’m starting to research options for the rear suspension now and this video was just perfect timing. I love how well your videos explain everything in great detail. Extremely informative it are going to help me out immensely on my build.

I wood screwed together 2 by 4’s blocks to go under each tire. It gets the car maybe 6 inches higher than a jackstand. That extra six inches makes all the world of difference.

It's always a pain trying to find the right height. This is pivoted on the stands to the rear os pretty high, I can sit up under it. If it's too low it's cramped, too high hard to reach and doing a half sit up and no leverage, lol. Oh well I need to do some abs anyways. 😅

I think there was a washer that fell inside the frame when you took that control arm out.

If you didn't get a new set of drill bits yet, I highly recommend Norseman drill bits. SP-29 is the set I have. A bit spendy, around $90 from Bowers Tool, but worth it.

Mustangs coming along well. Been watching the channel for a while now. I'm in the process of turboing my 05 escalade with an ebay log, crossover, do, and decapps. Have any pointers on what to watchout for

It's pretty straight forward. Protect the AC line. I blew mine, but turbo was really big.
