I am having a problem very similar to the problem you are having with the hanging RPM problem. The Throttle bodies that fit the 2005-2009 Mustangs all have this same problem. I have the Ford Racing unit and I am having the same issues. The idle hangs on start up and then hangs during shifting. They claim that this is a very common problem among aftermarket units. Even the Ford Racing Unit will cause this to happen. It's not a bad install the Car needs to be tuned.
I wish ford knew what the hell they were doing when they installed my bbk tb. They said the car did not run well with it installed. Held rpms for 5 seconds after u let of gas. I was still charged for the labor, Anyone know what they did wrong? I would like to have this part installed in my car.
I have a question and I think you answered it below requiring a tune for this as I have a SCT SF3. I just ordered your BBK Cold Air Intake 1736, just yesterday for my 08 GT Mustang. Should I wait to install the cold air intake, till I get the throttle body. As I understand no tune required, or is that just for the throttle body, but with the cold air intake and even though there is no tune on that either. But can you access the intake, via the tuner and increase performance? next BBK underpully
on my 2010 mustang gt I put on your bbk air intake and throttle body. after I installed them all I test drove the car and after like 10 to 15 mins of driving the car kinda like down shifted itself and the ranch light came on. I have a stick so when I say down shifted I mean it almost stopped the car. also after I turned the car off I started it and the gas would not respond right. plz help
Thanks very much. Now is it worth the cost and hp to install this on my car? I already have bbk shorty headers, jtl cai, tune, under drive pulley, and 3:73 gears in my car (2007 gt manual)
@bbkperformance I'm a newb when it comes to working on cars, the instructions say to "ground the black wire" but my question is where/how do I ground the black wire when checking the TPS with a digital volt meter?
