  • Hey everyone! We hope that this video has come of some help to you. We know that the process of getting your Australia Working Holiday Visa can be daunting, confusing, and frustrating; and we have found that so many questions keep coming up when it comes to the "farm work" or simply the 88 day regional work that must be completed. We tried to clear up as much as we could but if you have any unanswered questions then please let us know!

    Thank you. Good video. It will be interesting to see what impact the 3 year visa has - especially if it encourages UK people to apply for permanent residency. From around 2000 to 2020 (and CV19) the largest groups of longer term migrants as well as tourists and international students have not been from Europe but rather from East and South Asia. You might not have noticed this so much in the "bush" but it has made our capital cities far more multicultural which I think is great. Given their high status on our Skilled Occupation Lists for Migration and issues back in the UK loads of UK Doctors and Nurses are applying to migrate. The biggest issue for them seems home sickness, especially missing friends and family as we are 22 hours flight time minimum to get back. Would you stay longer? and is the distance from friends and family a "category killer" issue? Cheers

      @LeeandLoz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey R J S, thanks so much for your comment! It’s interesting to hear your thoughts and figures. We’d love the opportunity to stay here longer, of course there are negatives of missing family, friends, and some home comforts of England, but there are so many positives over here in Australia, which is what we remind ourselves often, we love it here!

      Hey Finlay! Thanks for the comment, nobody knows for 100% yet when it will come into place, the thing we read said early 2023 so I guess we will have to wait and see! Once it comes into effect it should grant people from the UK with a 3 year visa straight away. This should also apply to people already in AUS, we have done our 88 days to get our second year so once it comes into place we should get our third year for "free" without any farm work/regional work.

      Hey Xandria! If you are wanting to do you're 88 days but live in Melbourne then I would probably say you are going to need to look into Fruit/Farm Work, as I don't believe there will be any 'remote postcodes' near Melbourne where you could do the other kinds of work we spoke about (Hospitality). Check out the website "Backpacker Job Board", they post a lot of jobs that qualify for 88 days. Hope you find something you enjoy!
