Now that is what I call a detailed breakdown of what we did so far.☝
I am contemplating upgrading my 88 s10 blazer from small block to big block. The exhaust part was super helpful. The cross member modification was a new twist that has me thinking. Good job.

As mentioned, I have been thinking of going big block on my v8 s-10 blazer. After 24 years, it's time for more inches. I know the block fits, but the exhaust is a problem. You seem to have that parked licked. Any part # you have would help especially the exhaust. If info can keep me from reinventing the wheel, that would be great.

What headers did you use? Part number?

No part number. Bought a set of 68-72 Chevelle BBC Shorty Headers and made them work as you saw.
